Apple filling and topping… 45% Apple…

Apple filling and topping… 45% Apple the rest is water, sugar and modified maize starch (whatever that is) how dare they charge a premium, how dare they be allowed to call it Apple filling when the 55% of the contents isn’t even Apple, what is going on in this country, where are the food standards agency, why is this kind of industrialised “con” allowed? Everyone needs to start reading the labels and stopping buying the garbage these corporations are producing.

My husband is very disabled

My husband is very disabled , he is very fond of your corned beed for any meal of the day, I have to open this as he is unable to. I find it very annoying that the glue is always put over the eye of the opening key, this takes qyuite a time. surely there is a better way to attach this. I have so many irritations anyway and this is just one more.

Halal manufacturing site

I emailed Prince's to ask if their corned beef is Halal to which they promptly replied saying it wasn't. However, it soon became suspicious from comments on Social Media that their corned beef is actually made in a Halal certified facility. On the 14th Jan I replied asking them to clarify if their product is produced in a Halal certified facility and if so how can they say there's isn't. To date no reply despite 2 more emails. Staying silent only confirms the comments I've read on Social Media.

Bone Found in Princes Tuna – Food Safety Concern

Today I opened a can of Princes Drained Tuna Steak in Spring Water and found a visible bone inside. Thankfully, I noticed it before mixing it into my salad — otherwise, it could have posed a serious choking hazard.
As a consumer, I expect better quality control and food safety from a trusted brand. I hope this issue will be looked into and that necessary checks are made to prevent it from happening again.I'd appreciate a response or follow-up on this matter.

New pull ring Princes ham

New pull ring Princes ham. Never again, only half the ham was pink and the other half off white, so unappetising. A let down. They’ve cheapened it. Felt sick after eating it!

The can was only half full of Tuna

Half full tin of Tuna Chunks , the rest was sunflower oil .. about enough Tuna for one sandwich , absolutely disgraceful ..
When you pay a premium price you expect a premium product and a full can..
I have photographic evidence but nowhere to upload..

Tuna "chunks?...Joke.

Tuna "chunks?
Someone is taking the "mick". No chunks just a slop of water interspersed with the odd bit of flesh.
Premium price, rock bottom product...disgraceful.

Insulting and unapologetic

I was sent an apology letter and savi vouchers. I tried in numerous stores to use these but was refused although I had used them to buy products as displayed on vouchers.
I contacted customer care dept to have email in reply saying it is up to each store whether they will accept them and it is up to me to contact the stores customer care dept about it. There is no point giving out useless vouchers and this makes apology worthless.
Suffice to say am not going to buy any more of their products.

I bought a small tin of your lean corn…

I bought a small tin of your lean corn beef the paper round the tin was firmly stuck so I had to add hot water to remove it so I could attach the key to open it.The key was full of the glue used to stick it to the tin which was a struggle to remove and then after opening an inch of the tin it tapered off.My tin opener only managed to partly open it which left me to dig the meat out with a fork or throw it away.
I bought a tin six months ago and this happened so I hoped it was a one off but apparently not so I definitely won’t be buying anymore.

I can see why Princes has so many negative reviews......

Wow Princes Tuna Chunks in Brine totally sucks balls. First of all it is NOT chunks. It's "Tuna Mush". Cheap, nasty, tiny bits of leftover tuna crammed into what seems like a litre of brine. It looks like my dogs had regurgitated it back into the can. I hadn't bought Princes for years, but ran out of the cheap tins I get from a different Supermarket (rhymes with Baldy) which are half the price and a billions times better quality. I'll probably end up giving the rest to my dogs, but my dogs are really fussy eaters....

Shoddy canning

I just tried to open a can of Prince’s Corned Beef, canned in France, reference as much as I could read it: FR 79049.002 CE, dated 15/4/2024; DBE 02 2009. Serial numbers A09HO; P433260850.
The canning process was appalling.
The label was firmly glued across all sides so that the flange for attaching the key to open it was not visible. I had to remove the whole label before I found the flange.
The can had not been prepared adequately. When the key is inserted in the flange and turned, it should have smoothly opened a band around the can. It did not. Instead it pulled away from the faintly marked lines of the band and nothing would make it align with and open the band.
Because of the shape of the can, a conventional can open does not work; it cannot cope with the corners. I had to poke a screwdriver into the can and break open each corner to open the bottom, and then poke the screwdriver in at the top of the can to push the meat out.
Since Prince’s was sold to another company (Asian?) a few years ago, some product lines have disappeared. Now it seems that they may have changed the cannery and that seems far from an improvement.

Customer Careline is a joke

Opened a tin of Branston Baked Beans and found the bottom of the tin looked rusty. Threw the beans, opened a second tin & it was just the same.
Completed a Web form reporting the problem, including pictures of the tins and submitted it. Got a reply fron Princescareline on 6th June which included "We will check our Quality Control records and write to you in due course. Thank you for taking the time to contact us. We value all customer feedback."
Since then-- NOTHING --
Sent a chase today (10 June) and got an auto response "Your correspondence has been received and we will be in touch in due course."
Their complete lack of urgency on what may be a food safety issue is alarming in the extreme
'Careline' -- doubtful it seems!

Princes Tuna chunks should be re-named…

Princes Tuna chunks should be re-named to Tuna mush. There are seriously no chunks in this product. Its probably made from the sweepings off the floor in the canning factory once all the steak, chunks and flake cans have been filled and shipped to other companies. Disgusting product I wouldnt even feed to a cat
