love RAB

love RAB. Fantastic gear and quality with an extremely good after-sales service. A defect on my Lowe Alpine backpack was judged as a manufacturing fault without any hassle, which allowed me to buy a new backpack (RAB!). Two defects on jackets were resolved free of charge, and a broken zipper after 4 years of use was replaced for only €10. When you buy Rab, you get great gear with an excellent warranty to help you out when something goes wrong. Thank you, RAB!" Outstanding customer service – above and beyond!

My Rab jacket became faulty, so I sent it in for repair. Because I needed it back urgently, I emailed customer service to ask if the process could be expedited.

The response was incredibly prompt. On the exact same day my faulty jacket arrived at their facility, they assessed it and informed me it could not be repaired. Instead, they immediately arranged a brand-new replacement.

Dave provided regular updates throughout the entire process and was exceptionally helpful. I now have my new jacket and will absolutely continue to buy Rab products. Fantastic service!

Just a quick reminder to Rab that you shouldn’t let marketing run the business and you shouldn’t have taken external investment capital that led you to leave behind the values that make you successful.

It was over 14 months ago that two new Firewall jackets wetted out completely and you didn’t allow my review to be published in your website. An no, they were not past season products and there was no other reason not to publish.

Since then I have bought Terra Nova, Durston x2 and Big Agnes tents. I have bought lots of Montane. My 2 3L Goretex jackets are Haglofs. My Octa fleece is Norrona. My trail runners are La Sportiva. My merino is Smartwool, Darn Tough and Artilect. My quilts are Neve Gear x2. My sleeping bag is Nemo. My pads are Exped, Big Agnes, Flextail, and Nemo. My backpacks are Osprey x2, Montane, Fjallraven, and Durston. I could go on.

It’s a fun game this. All these purchases and many more have been since I reviewed the two firewall jackets and you didn’t post the review. I emailed 4 times to engage as to why. You didn’t respond to any of the emails.i haven’t purchased a single Rab product since.

So just thought I’d hop back on here and remind you what you lose with every poor decision driven by profit not customer and values. It takes a while to build trust, it takes a nanosecond to lose it.

To others reading these reviews, go buy from some of the companies I have mentioned above, not Rab. They are owned by investment capital so you’re doing anyone any favours!

Rab excell where Cotswold fail

Bought a Rab coat from Cotswold outdoor which developed a fault after 11 months. Cotswold took six weeks to come out with an excuse that it was not wear and tear and it was external factors and that the cuffs had been cut🙄 Sent it to Rab who repaired and return the coat in a week absolutely First Class service

Repair exceeded expectations

Sent my down jacket back to have several tears repaired. The tears were all my fault (brambles etc). Extremely pleased with the result. They replaced an entire panel on the back of the jacket and fixed several smaller holes I hadn’t even asked to have repaired. Excellent service, great communication. My jacket had been relegated to dog walking and gardening; now suitable for wearing out again. Delighted.

Jacket cleaned

Just had my Rab down jacket cleaned by Rab. It was very easy to deal with. Order and pay online, they send you the labels. I posted this on Saturday 9th May. The turnaround time was 14 days. I then received an email from DPD on Thursday 14th May informing me my jacket was being delivered that day. It's a fantastic service, the jacket came back looking like new. I was very impressed that I received my jacket within 5 days. I would highly recommend these and would use them again.

Poor Quality.

I have recently bought a RAB Microlight alpine down jacket and the matching gilet to replace my old Rab jacket and gilet. The quality seems to have gone down the pan! The down is coming out through the seams all over the place on both items, I’ve even had to get the gilet repaired at my local seamstress.
Yes they are still as warm as my previous ones, but these new ones just seem far less quality, and REALLY delicate considering what they are meant to be used for.
Not impressed and won’t be buying RAB again.

5 * without hesitation.
I sent my jacket in for a repair and wash. The 2 inch tear on the arm has vanished, there is no sign of it ever being there. Well worth the price to get fixed, i would use again if needed and recommend the service.
A big Thank you to Rachel for doing a cracking job.

My go-to place for coats, hoodies, jackets!

After purchasing my first item from Rab, it has become my go-to place for any jacket, coat, hoody, etc. The quality is fabulous and the fit is perfect for me. I'm slim (5'9"/120lbs.) and can order a small size and know that the sleeves will fit my long arms! The workmanship is stellar and the company stands behind their products.

Poor product and customer service

Purchased a RAB Downpour eco a few years back from sports pursuit.

The waterproof membrane has completely worn away in areas after only minimal use. I have treated it well so I was very let down by this product.

I have misplaced the receipt as I have moved house since then and changed banks so can't find my proof of purcahse so RAB did not want to help me. Pretty poor from a company that I had respect for. It's still your product that has completely failed regardless of receipt.

Will get my gear elsewhere.

I used to purchase rab and another well…

I used to purchase rab and another well known companies products.The quality has always been good but the past items I have bought the logos have come off within months without any washing. I can’t complain as rab gave me replacements but I don’t think they can keep claiming how durable the products they sell are when something as basic as a logo seems too complex for them. Was better when the logos where stitched on.

Wash/Repair Service Excellent

Have had 2 down jackets washed and 1 repaired this year. The service from enquiry to return has been impeccable and the result amazing! Would have been helpful to have an update regarding timing of return, but delivered by DPD within 24 hours. Would recommend and certainly will be using again.

Excellent Wash Service

I used the down wash servise to wash to 2 non Rab down jackets and it was excellent. Questions answered fully before using the service and the jackets were cleaned and returned the day after Rab received them. Mustiness has gone and they loft better too. Couldn't ask for more.

Bad quality and useless customer service.

Rab used to be a small company offering quality products and service. This is now history. Rab has developed to a large scale industry focusing on revenue and no longer cares about their customers when their products fail. I bought an expensive Valiance Down jacket. The zipper failed after short use. Something that other customers are also experiencing and also not getting help from Rab. Rab uses all excuses to disregard their customers and are not willing to repair or replace. In my case they are playing the geo-discrimination card. Stating that I live in a European country that they do not want to ship repairs to. Even though that they are happy to sell their products to!
