I called in for a recovery. When asked a casual question. Where were you going? Thought they were being friendly. Only to be told they would only take me 5 miles to my onward destination but wouldn’t take me home!
It’s ok it’s in the terms and conditions! Basically you could have national breakdown but it’s in the terms and conditions that it’s onward journey or home whichever is shorter!
I was only saved by the fact I was with another company Green Flag. And they sent someone out to get me.
You may think that you have peace of mind and it’s only costing £40 or whatever. You will be left stranded.
I will be avoiding this company in the future.
It’s a thumbs up for Green Flag!

There prices are fair and good value for the plan you need. Ive been with rescuemycar.com for a number of years and will always stay with them. Ive not needed to use yet and hope not but its great to know they are there when needed

They do not make clear what the policy is. Please read the small print. I broke down away from home. If I had been going home on my journey, it is covered. I said I had stopped at my destination BEFORE going home again, and this is not covered and recovery was only therefore 10 miles. Anything above that they quote you recovery costs. This was £120.62 for the extra 22 miles.... Then the recovery will be effected sometime during the day. It is 11.30am now, and collection could be sometime before midnight.... I could in theory be waiting here for recovery for 12 hours. After questioning this, they informed me it would likely be nearer 5PM.... Lucky me. I am praying it is not. Going to be a long and tedious wait. Be wary taking out a policy without reading the small print. Very painful lesson learned.

We have been with RMC for a few years…
We have been with RMC for a few years and always find them to be competitive. We have called them out on a couple of occasions without any problems and it is easy to speak to a real person when you call in, my last dealings I spoke with a very helpful, polite young man who knew how to deal with my query in a positive way.
