Terrible
Terrible. I don't know how they re allowed to operate as a banking institute but they are unhelpful. Unable to provide any assistance with a issue I have.i stand to lose a fair amount of money due to their carelessness which could be easily sorted but they don't seem to be bothered despite my best efforts to resolve matter.
Terrible, incompetent and heartless!!
So I used revolut for a tool I ordered online on the 28th of may and it turned out to be a scam, I then reported it on revolut, response from the in-app chat was quick so I was thinking "Wow this is great, getting help this quick is kinda better than paypal" and that's where I was wrong, BIG TIME.
After reporting the scam transaction I figured that was it and I will get my money back and when I was out buying something My bank card kept on being denied! So very upset about it I called my bank and discovered that Revolut has filed a fraudulent transaction on my bank!! Confused I tried to piece it out together looking at my revolut and bank transactions and discovered that revolut filed a fraudulent transaction that I legitimately made! basically it was just me moving my revolut money to my bank account!!! their mistake caused my bank to put a block on it I cant access My OWN money, My bank told me they cannot lift the ban until revolut retracts the claim and its the 27th of june now and they have done NOTHING! no matter how much I begged their team to work on it with a simple phone call they kept on telling me either "We dont have the authority to contact you bank account" OR "the relevant team are working on it" like which one is it?!
today I'm down to my last 20 euro in cash with bills and rent past due for the last 4 days already oh lets not forget the holiday I was planning this month that just went down the toilet!
Thanks revolut for driving me insane!
Response for revolut: taking time working on a case is one thing, making a mistake and let your customer suffer for it is another thing!! This could easily be solved with a phone call to my bank and retract a false claim!! think about it why would I put a fraud claim to myself! revolut has even told me that they have refunded me the even though they only took the money from my bank account to my revolut account and calling it a day!
an update finally, revolut was able to finally resolve my issue and it is now july, they compensated me for my frustration which alleviated me a bit but it doesnt change the fact that they are incompetent even they complaint department told me it was entirely their fault and it should have happened. When I started fixing my accounts with paypal it only took 2 days to re-activate my account as it was deemed "a threat" due to the fraud block imposed on my bank account revolut's main issue is that they dont have a dedicated customer care they just have a outsourced customer service that reads along a script hence why they couldnt provide a swift action on my issue
the secret word here is "lawsuit" people and make sure you talk to their HQ not the in-app chat

Absolute joke and poor service. Say goodbye to your funds.
I installed, eventually jumped the hoops and lodged and transferred money, they reverted it not allowing recipient access it. They then restricted account. Jumped more hoops, all day now on 3rd " Customer service anonymous person " Round in circles, same old. Can't transfer, can't reclaim funds. Cheeky pups said I was offensive ( eventually called them thieves tbf ) and said they had no choice but to revert my funds pmsl. I said that's all I've been asking all day. To be nasty they've " Escalated the case to another team " Nasty, nasty, anonymous people with no regard for your data or money and who refuse to identify themselves.
Deposit disappeared and no accountability
I had a deposit from a tax refund that they reverted for no reason even though I provided the documents they asked for . I called the sender who in turn contacted revolut to find out what happened and revolut told them I did receive it ! I then asked revolut to provide me an official document proving it was reverted to show the sender and they said they are unable to provide such documentation but that it was for sure sent back . So beware of getting a direct deposit because if it gets reverted they will not provide documentation that the sender needs to verify that it was reverted . They can't just simply say we assure you it was , most banks have no problem providing any documentation for clarifying these issues . When they need documentation from you , you can't give them the same answer , that is not how banking works!

Revolut has the least competent support in the world. It has been many days case where over 15 people try to answer a simple question: why a couple of months ago revolut lowered exchange rate from dkk to euro by around 0.07%-0.15%? They still claim that it is interbank rate but it is not.

Card payment refused for a flight booking, now lost the seat so have to pay more for the flight! No help from customer services, just say they are too busy to respond, no operators available! Avoid!!
Pretty straight forward so far
Pretty straight forward so far, but the security features are a little awkward at times. I got a touchless debit card, enabled it in the app, and paid attention to communications and in-app notifications to ensure i wasn't missing anything. It seemed like it was more steps than expected, and might be confusing for some, overall though, the processes worked, the cards been fine, the IBAN is useful for rent, wiring money into the account works... the only caveat was in wires configuration, as the account is based in Lithuania, rather than Italy as selected in the app, and I had to use a 3rd party IBAN calculator to figure that one out.
Some services won't accept the IBAN, but that's mostly related to Italian companies not playing nice with digital banks (they've outright banned N26 here, for example). No real complaints though, everything "just works" now that I'm through the setting up period.

Been paying £7 a month for premium just in case my flight is delayed. When I needed to reclaim the mlsmart pass the app showed it as pending and customer service was of no help.
I bought the passes myself even though my flight was over 2 hours delayed and they refused to refund me or my premium plan. I will be closing my Revolut account as this is ridiculous

I waste arround three weeks for my new account verification and failed. Many times uploading my documents, later contacting with support providing selfie with documents, than waiting again((((. My accacunt were closed by Revolut. They even haven't contact me personally and trying to verify my person. Absolutelly no flexibility and customer orientation. Seems these guy do not need new customenrs.

Unfortunately I'm about to stop using revolut soon. They were the best for international travel but now, they charged me so many fees for everything I bought in a shop and also for ATM withdrawal. Unfortunately I bought a flight tickets for 700$ and they took about 20$ fee because it's weekend 🤦🏻♀️ not going to use them anymore!
Credit card fraud and no help from Revolut
Someone used my debit disposable visa card to buy something in Australia. I don't know how they did manage this, but they did. Revolut didn't not agree to help me at all. They don't see any illegal activity, so they claim it is my fault. I am absolutely disappointed. Read also the other reviews and think twice of transferring money to this company.
Take action without consent or approval
They have messed up request for more information on a funds transfer and instead seem to have put in a request for a return of funds without my consent. Their customer service person via chat on this has gone silent after I asked them to confirm they had not actioned this without my consent.
Stay away from this bank
Stay away from this bank! My story: I made an impulsive buying decision yesterday, without doing proper research beforehand, and ordered two concert tickets from viagogo for a concert to be held in August. I was planning to surprise a good friend of mine with a ticket as a birthday present today. The indicated form of delivery was email delivery of electronic tickets, so I assumed I would receive the tickets right after payment confirmation. Surprise, surprise, the tickets will be ready in August, just shortly before the event, so in three months' time according to the information displayed on the site only after the authorisation of the payment made via revolut.
I immediately realised this can't be right and that I had been mislead into buying possibly non-existing tickets with no possibility of refund - a classic case of fraud or mis-sale, however you want to call it, where a merchant induced me as a customer to make a purchase by providing inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information about the purchase itself.
In less than an hour after payment authorisation, I contacted a Revolut agent to have the transation - which was still pending - reverted so I would not fall victim to these fraudsters, as so many others before me, as I realised afterwards reading reports on-line. I was told the transaction cannot be reverted just based on my claims without providing a 6-digit authorisation code I should obtain from the (deceitful) merchant, which has nothing to do with sound logic in my humble opinion.
I however contacted viagogo by phone and was told I must have read on the site that there is no possibility of refund since viagogo is a mere second marketplace that has to protect its sellers. The agent had never heard of such a code and merely gave me verbal assurances I would receive my tickets as indicated, which I highly doubt based on their record (look for "Viagogo allegedly advertising the sale of invalid tickets to Ed Sheeran shows | ITV News"on youtube, the Victims of viagogo group on Facebook etc.).
This is deceit, nothing else, while Revolut is just an accomplice to unethical, even criminal conduct in my eyes after this experience.
The whole concervation with both the revolut and viagogo agent was a waste of time and energy, leaving me with a bitter taste about the world we live in. Acting like robots, sticking to a script, protecting companies whose business model is at least unethical... I really feel pity for them, especially since I am aware that they are just doing their job to earn a living. I personally couldn't sleep at night if I were in their shoes. As consumers we are basically left helpless and frustrated, to the mercy of such companies (and authorities for that matter). What a sick world shaped by savage capitalism!
stuck (happily not on travel)
April 26: their app suddenly refuses to work : 'you need to update'. I delete the app and download the new one. During the install I get the error message: 'could not install'
Well, they offer support, right?
Wrong: support is done only thru the app. No support thru email, no chat, no phone: nothing.
May 1: I find out an email I can use for 'formal complaints'. Send one
May 15: no answer yet
I am draining the money out of my account. Will need a new bank
Could be great, needs a lot of work
I really want to like Revolut, but I just have a feeling they're going to go the way of other online banks/fintech companies that try to "buck" the system and then end up collapsing due to some internal issue.
I was sucked into their Metal tier membership privileges as I am moving abroad and opening a bank account as a US citizen in the EEU can be difficult, so I thought having Revolut would be a good option for me as it was highly recommended by expat services. However, I kept running into continuous issues with my cards not being delivered in the mail on time, sometimes up to one week after ordering. It was the weirdest thing ever. I got my standard Visa in under 3 days, but for some reason, my metal cards would take forever to get to me. I have no idea why this was happening as at that tier I was supposed to receive ALL of my cards within 1-3 days (supposedly they will ship them all over the world), and their reasoning was that I should just keep reordering cards, blah blah blah, it was outside of their hands because they don't issue tracking details, yada yada, the "robot" that runs their code or whatever does the ordering, waka waka. You get the picture.
For 16.99 USD, I just didn't see the point because they tell you all these things you can do with your metal card (loungekey access! travel insurance! emergency medical!), but then they themselves can't deliver on their end. So I have my doubts that you get all these cool benefits and didn't want to be embarrassed if I tried to waltz into the vip lounge at the airport and then get turned away. I've also heard way too many horror stories of people getting large sums of money in their account, and then wham! Revolut closes it without warning because their bot cannot differentiate between legitimate transfers and scams.
All in all, I really like the concept and I believe this will be the future of banking, but I just don't trust them. I wouldn't go as far to call it a scam though, more not being able to deliver on a promise.

why when I transferred funds from my Ukrainian hryvnia bank, not enough zlotys came to my revolut account, but the amount was completely withdrawn from my Ukrainian bag. the exchange rate of the hryvnia to my zloty bank is 7.1. I had to receive 6749 zlotys, and 4862.35 zlotys came

If you don't have enough stress in your life..bank with Revolut :)
Here I am 6 months later still with no access to business account as they can't verify ID so I uploaded again and waited weeks then told they never got it. I have spent loads of time online chatting which is incredibly slow, I thought the man was helping resolve issue but he just went long way around making me repeat the whole process again which wasted over 1 hour to do something I didn't even need help with all because he didn't listen properly to the issue I wanted resolved- you can waste a lot of time in life trying to sort things with online chats with companies that offer no other option so just avoid them
