One of my personal missions is to create safe spaces for individuals to be their authentic selves. In that, I co-founded an organisation (theBuild) that serves the need for men to be able to have unconventional conversations to grow & have an impact in various areas within their lives. #RTW Professional Coach Training qualification provided me with the necessary tools in order to continue providing that safe space. On reflection, I truly take away the in-depth understanding I now have relating to ‘Group Coaching’. This is definitely a tool we use at theBuild, when we hold our landmark retreats weekends away. Group coaching will be paramount in allowing our community to gain clarity and understanding for themselves & others as they navigate challenges and barriers within various aspects of their life.

The world is a curious and unusual place right now. We are all dealing with uncertainty and volatility unlike anything we've known before. As an activist and advocate for a closer-knit social fabric the world over, I've been grateful for the opportunity to learn more about how to approach meaningful dialogues that put people first and that lead to change and better impact.

Firstly, the fact that Ride The Wave goes out of its way to create a diverse and extraordinary community, secondly that the tools, techinques and approaches that we are taught are highly relevant and purposeful and lastly, that they equip me to do my work across gender, social change and community transformation in a more robust and effective way. I'm beyond grateful to be part of this community.

The #Ride The Wave Coaching Programme is an excellent training programme to get you a coaching qualification that feels like you deserve it. It's a high-touch programme across 7 learning days, with a lot of communication, support and tips provided outside the learning days. The trainers, Lucy & Sonya are incredibly experienced and personable. They share their valuable knowledge and experience with their coaching cohorts in an enthusiastic and engaging style. It's a well-run, structured and very modern course - it provides you with current research, tools and information that will be relevant to your coaching practice moving forward. The programme also gets you stuck in and delivering coaching to fellow cohorts as much as possible, meaning you gain that necessary 'on the job' learning and development in a safe environment.
It's also a very helpful place to start if you are someone that would like to get Accredited as a Coach.

Probably the best course and community I've experienced. You are set up for success from the moment you meet Lucy and Sonya. Mixed with fun and a more inclusive, socially diverse and mordern spin on coaching, this is streaks ahead of other traditional and tired coaching courses. This will set you up for life and work in a post pandemic world.

#Ride the Wave lives up to its name!

Being part of this programme has absolutely helped me ride the wave of this mad crazy year. But also to step out of my comfort zone and finally take the leap to quit my job and become a coach. Sonya and Lucy are like the dynamic duo, with so much shared energy, wisdom and generosity. They really think carefully about everything to make the programme as fun, insightful and practical as possible so you quickly build up the knowledge and confidence to start coaching yourself.

I've done coaching courses before but never quite felt ready afterwards to take the leap. There's something about the whole package they offer, the incredibly supportive #Ride the Wave community and knowing this is just the start of your journey and not the end with them that makes this programme stand out for me. I feel I have all the surfer skills and community I need now to get our there and start riding the waves myself. Thank you!

In the midst of 2020 with all its ups and downs, #RideTheWave became the beacon that guided me through such a tumultuous year. I found the course beneficial to my professional and personal life. A thorough and enlightening learning experience across the world of life and executive coaching models, principles and ethics giving confidence to trainee coaches, so that in 6 months, you really are ready to ride alongside clients on their amazing life journeys. Supervision is comprehensive and supportive. The network of alumni is so valuable and makes a huge difference; I personally appreciated the breadth of diverse experiences shared across the group and the generous spirit which underpins the Ride the Wave approach.

This 9 day course was fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone looking to learn good coaching skills. The content was just the right balance of theory and practical and the tutors and other delegates were supportive throughout. This is one of the best programme I have ever attended with a great group of like-minded people.

This training has honestly benefited me hugely. If you are ready to challenge yourself, hold the mirror up to yourself and do the work, this is a great place to start.
I quickly realised that their unique style of training will live long after the group training ends. Over three weekends with a fantastic group of people I learnt a range of techniques with tools to support them.
I got to coach and be coached allowing me time for my own deep reflection that added to the benefit and experience.
This was all delivered in a great environment by two highly skilled coach leaders.

#RideTheWave is an absolutely incredible learning experience taught by two hugely talented, credible and personable individuals - Sonya and Lucy. The course is well thought out and planned, with a fantastic balance of learning material, practical learning and reflection. The growth of every individual as a coach was apparent as each training day passed. I liked that I could bring my own experiences into the room as well as learning from others. The coaching I received from my peers has also been life changing. My final point is the signifance and thought put into an extremely diverse cohort - simply fantastic!
