We are a group of friendly, expert, optical practices who have served our communities in South East London, North Kent and Surrey for decades.
We have many years of experience in taking care of all our customers’ eye care needs and concerns. We offer a wide range of services including specialist eyecare, dry eye management, sunglasses, children’s eye care, myopia management and hearing care.
Our practices are located in Crystal Palace, East Dulwich Purley, Sydenham, Welling, and West Norwood. We look forward to welcoming you to the renowned Woodfalls experience.

The clinical reputation and range of services offered by Woodfalls has continued to grow, our success has been due to our committed optometrists, fully qualified dispensing and contact lens opticians, optical assistants and a team of dedicated support staff.
Our practices are fully equipped with the latest in optical equipment and all of our branches offer specialist services. We have the latest OCT (optical coherence tomography) machines at all six sites, we now also offer Optomap scanning, plus The Hearing Care Partnership to provide all things audiology.
As an independent group of opticians we dedicate the time necessary to ensure our customers receive the best care and advice. We work closely with our clinical partners to ensure we focus on our local communities and provide the very best clinical care.

Good service, always felt rushed when I went to another opticians. Glasses felt comfortable to wear and were the correct prescription for me and the staff are always polite.

Fantastic Purley branch
The Purley branch is just outstanding. The optician, Bev, doesn’t rest until she’s happy with the tests! The receptionists are also lovely and welcoming. I’d recommend this opticians to all.

Debbie fixed my glasses free of charge and on the apot
I couldn’t speak more highly of the Purley branch, especially Debbie, who fixed my glasses on the spot (I lost one of the bolts on my fixing, so the glasses fell apart and yet Debbie was able to supply the bolt free of charge and fix it imeediately). Thank you very much! I couldn’t recommend Pursers more:)

I didn't feel my eIye test was 100%…
I didn't feel my eye test was 100% completed. Also I was not offered an eye scan.
The emphasis was on buying spectacles.

Thank you Mr Williams for your feedback, we greatly appreciate all comments to help us to improve our services, please be assured we take any negative responses very seriously and always investigate the facts accurately.
However, on the point you have raised regarding an 'eye scan', we can 100% assure you that every one of our customers is offered an OCT scan and I can confirm from your notes that this was in fact offered to you and you declined due to the £35 fee we charge for our expertise.
As was also explained to you in detail at the time of your appointment it is both useful and important for both the customer and practitioner that you purchase your glasses from the provider of your eye care. This helps to avoid unnecessary issues which can, and do occur.
We are of course very sorry you don't agree with our business model, and as we explained your options to you in detail, we hope you reach the best decision for your future eye care and eyewear.
We are of course overall disappointed you rated our services 3 stars when it transpires you have been very happy to return to us for your NHS eye examinations for many years.

The only gripe I have is price, shopping around on line I believe that I could obtain glasses significantly cheaper but stay loyal to you simply for the reasons above and have been with you a long time now
