I bought the Scubapro G2 computer from SDS Watersports. I had an issue with the digital compass recently and when downloading the firmware the computer stopped working. I contacted SDS Watersports and explained my dilemma. Despite their help we were unable to rectify the problem.
Shaky start but all good in the end :o)
I had a shaky start due to someone being on vacation. Placed an order online, turned out when I chased for an update that the item was out of stock, my order was missing and no one could help .... very unhappy at this point. Anyway, come the following Monday Ryan was thankfully back. Item confirmed as discontinued, money refunded, another item suggested, assistance with research, new payment organised and item was shipped directly from main UK distributor so I didn't have to wait for stock to come to SDS and then out to me. Item received next day. Very happy with the help I received. Gold Star to Ryan in the Sales Department.

SDS were a pleasure to do business with. I ordered a non standard part that was obtained and dispatched quickly. Communication was excellent and invoice was accurate. Personnel are keen and enthusiastic and would I recommend them.
Dreadful Service
Placed an order for 2 knifes and paid £9 for next day delivery. 2 days later and still not received my order so I phoned the shop. I was told one of the knives were not in stock so they will dispatch the order in 7 days when the other knife arrive. I then received an email telling me the knife is not in stock and will take 7-10 days for them to receive it.
After waiting for my order I got fed up so emailed asking if they can post the knife that's in stock so I have at least one knife for a dive I have planned at the weekend but got no response.
I phones them the next day and I was told the one knife is due to be delivered in 4 days time and the other knife is not in stock from the suppliers (they would have known this over a week ago when ordering my knife).
They either didn't order my knife at the beginning or have been lying to me.
No communication, no order, no knives and no diving the weekend.
I will definitely be ordering goods elsewhere in future.

Excellent Service 😀
Ordered a 12 ltr dumpy cylinder over the weekend knowing it was out of hours until Monday morning, Monday afternoon got a reply that it was out of stock but could be ordered in and received by myself by the weekend, As I was in no rush I sent a reply back that it was no problem but I was going away on holidays the following Monday and did not mind if it was delivered on Saturday,
TUESDAY I got an Email saying it had been dispatched,
Wednesday it was in my house waiting for me after I finished work.
Now that is what I would call 5☆ Service
Scubapro G2 problem solving.
I bought the Scubapro G2 computer from SDS Watersports. I had an issue with the digital compass recently and when downloading the firmware the computer stopped working. I contacted SDS Watersports and explained my dilemma. Despite their help we were unable to rectify the problem.
Without any fuss they suggested I send my computer to them and they would forward onto Scubapro. I have now received my computer back fully functional again. Other than the postal cost to them, I was not charged for any of the work. They kept me updated with the progress.
Excellent after sales service from SDS Watersports and also from Scubapro.

Popped after shopping around and looking online, couldn't be more honest and helpful, advice was second to none, I spent 5 hours in this shop buying new diving gear and will definitely going back. 10/10.
Drysuit Woes........
As a regular customer of SDS Watersports I feel I am in a good position to offer a reveiw of my experiences shopping here.
In October of 2017 I purchased a Waterproof D1Hybrid drysuit. I went to the store and tried it on before buying it. The staff were really friendly and made me a coffee and went through everything.
the drysuit performed faultlessly for 3 months before developing a leak. The shop repaired it without question and all was good. Afew weeks later another leak followed by more repairs. This proccess went on for nearly 10 months and the store did everything expected to try and resove my issues. There came a point after my 4th visit that the store had had enough of repairing it and it was sent back to Waterproof under warranty. I received the suit back again and went diving, guess what? yep a leak in the leg again. I was all but ready to give up but SDS stood by me and demanded a brand new replacement be authorised. I few weeks later and I received a phone call to say a brand new updated D1X Hybrid was awaiting collection.
Although I spent a huge part of the year without my suit I can't fault SDS for working with me to sort it. I still shop in there store both in person or online. I would reccommend them to any diver wanting a 1st class service.
I ordered a Scubapro torch from SDS…
I ordered a Scubapro torch from SDS Watersports and indicated that I needed it quite quickly. I was immediately contacted by Madi who informed me that the item was currently out of stock. After a brief correspondence with her she offered to try an alternative source for the same product. Clearly her endeavours were successful when the lamp was delivered to me two days before the deadline I had stated when ordering it. I cannot fault the excellent personal service provided by this company, and this is not the first time I have experienced such good service from SDS Watersports.

I ordered a mares torch on line
I ordered a mares torch on line, arrived in good time.
the torch would not hold the charge and they asked me to return it.
which i did, i must admit expecting a new one to arrive back with me in a few days.when i then called i was told that they had to send it back to mares to see what was wrong with it, this i really didn't understand the last thing a diver wants this time of year is to wait an unspecified time for a torch that has never been used to be repaired. They refused a refund under the same excuse. so after 4 weeks with no sign of a new torch or a credit i called. Wow how lucky my torch had just arrived from Mares!! i have now received the torch with out as much as we are sorry it took sooo long. i would never use this company again, have they not heard of customer service. I have since this used Mikes dive store and what an amazing difference, i would strongly recommend you do the same and hes cheaper. roy

Mares MV Octopus
I have dived with this as part of a rig I have been using for about 3 years now. During that time I have logged around 300 dives.
I will now review the Mares MV Octopus. As a MSD I have used this at my rated depth to give me the confidence should I ever need to use it. I have in fact completed a 40M dive on this octopus. I have 1 major issue with the Mares MV Octopus. The exhaust water seal. It just isn't up to the job. Its sole function is to prevent water entering the unit when breathing in. Simple. When it is in place it works fine. The trouble is, if you do a standing boat/ jetty entry then the seal folds in on its self. The blast of water entering the unit dislodges the seal. What that means to you and I is should you need to use the unit, the user will be drawing in water at a time when that is the last thing they want. The solution is once you have entered the water is to reseat the grey seal before you start the dive. If you do not do this, your Buddy, in his hour of need, will take in a mouth full of water along with the air he requires. I suspect he will be either looking for another buddy or on his way up at pace.
As I have said, if you do a walk in entry then the unit is 5/5. If you enter the water from a boat or a jetty then I believe this is a major safety issue. Since discovering this, I have changed the type of unit and will not be taking it into the water again.
My advice I simple. Do not purchase this unit. Imagine someone passing you his 'Alternative' at 40M. You forcefully exhale and your first breath is 80% water.
Excellent Customer service
Went to try a travel BCD before buying one. Dan was really helpful in going over the features of the various BCD and giving me all the information I need to choose the right one for me.
Top it all off they honour there 'price match' pledge and gave me a great deal.
