I was on the SCREWFIX site.
I was on the what I thought was the SCREWFIX website and as I am an occasional customer of theirs, and an offer came up for a free tool with only £2 delivery charge, I thought this was good.
Wrong. It was a bad idea.
After I had completed the p&p payment, to whom I thought was SCREWFIX, I get an email from Shinyjewel saying something along the lines of "Welcome to Shinyjewel"
"What !!!!!". Never heard of them before and didn't understand why they were sending me confirmation for something I hadn't signed up to.
2 days later I get a text from my bank to tell me that Shinyjewel had tried to take £40.18 out of my account.
I contact the bank to tell them that this is a scam and not to make the payment. They have marked Shinyjewel as a suspect company.
They nearly got away with it but thankfully my bank spotted it otherwise I have to go through hoops to get the money back.
They have somehow piggy-back their fraudulent site onto SCREWFIX in the hope of scamming people.
They are scammers: avoid anything to do with them.
Update: 28th Feb 2024:
They are now trying to bribe me by offering to refund my "subscription" if I upgrade my star rating from 1 star to 4 or 5 stars.
No chance. I want to warn others about what they are doing and hopefully stop anyone else falling into the same trap I nearly did.
Please, please avoid these fraudulent scammers.
Update 5th March 2024: I have now had my refund, that's the p&p of £1.71 for the free gift from Screwfix. But as I had to go through hoops to get it and put up a 1 star review for them to bribe me to put up a 4 - 5 star review to get the refund I feel that my 1 star is a fair summery of how I feel about the fraudulent way they tried to get money out of me to start with.
These people are SCAMMERS and I advise anyone looking to see how they treat there unsuspecting customers should take heed of my experience at the hands of these unscrupulous people and avoid them like the plague.

UPDATE to original post. I have today received correspondence from the site and they are instigating a refund. I didnt realise when i first went on this site that any payments from my bank went towards credits to purchase further items. A number of payments went out that i hadnt been prepared for so i asked for a refund and have requested my bank block any further payments

I have just ordered from this site
I have just ordered from this site, then saw the monthly payments for subscription, I’ve had no email about my purchase and would just like to say now that I don’t want to subscribe before you start taking money from my account
Thanks
Would like to say that this has now been sorted, with a quick response
Many thanks

I am more than happy now!
I am editing this review as Oliver from Shiny Jewel reached out to me and has reolves the issue I had with them by offering a full refund and I am very pleased with the outcome. I am also pleased with the speed at which they responded and solved the issue. Please ignore my initial review that is posted below.
I have also somehow subscribed to this website and have had $85NZD taken from my account and I am very distressed. Being a pensioner living on a limited income, I would never knowingly sign up for this. I made contact via chat but really only got scripted responses. They have cancelled my ""account " but they still have my $85. I don't know how I'm going to afford to pay my upcoming rent. What can I do? Anybody got ideas please? I don't want to have to have to go to a food bank....I've never done that in my life...help!! This website should be done for fraud and theft. I am very disappointed that they are still able to operate.

Interpol should be involved
This company is somehow able get your data and subscribes you to a monthly scheme and they charge you for purchases that you never made.
Edit: why this company still exists and replies to my review which is the same as 95% of all the reviews here is a mystery to me. They need to be reported to the authorities. Scam site!!

Updated review 2023
Shiny Jewels recently engaged in correspondence with me to address the issue I encountered. Initially, I suspected their intention was solely to persuade me to remove my review by offering to reimburse me. I had no intention of utilizing their company or services and was quite hesitant to engage in negotiations or extensive discussions. However, today, I received a phone call from them. After conversing with a representative from the company and thoroughly discussing the situation, I now believe that Shiny Jewels was not responsible for the scam I fell victim to.
It appears that they may have an affiliate referral program that rewards individuals for bringing in new customers who sign up for their service using a unique link or code. Therefore, the email scam I fell for was likely orchestrated by a third party unrelated to Shiny Jewels. I did provide feedback regarding their customer support, which was easy to reach but seemed to have a misunderstanding of the situation that had transpired, resulting in an additional cancellation fee.
I cannot offer feedback on the quality of the service they provide, since I never intended to be their customer. It now seems unfair to label this company as a scam, and I genuinely hope they can address the vulnerability that scammers appear to be exploiting.
Original review
SCAM - Signed up believing it was USP and paid 2 euros, then when on their live chat I asked to cancel and get a refund, and they charged me a cancellation fee.
In response to your reply, I believe there might be a misunderstanding. I had never intended to enrol in a VIP scheme with your company. I received an email that purported to be from UPS, requesting a small payment. Typically, I wouldn't fall for an email scam like this, but the day before, I had actually sent a package via UPS. When I attempted to make the payment, I was unexpectedly charged by your company. I promptly reached out to your customer support to explain the situation, but they proceeded to charge me an additional amount, claiming it was a cancellation fee. To recover the funds that were taken, I had to involve my bank's fraud department. I appreciate your openness to feedback, so my most valuable feedback is to cease any unethical practices and operate a legitimate business, like the rest of us.
