TV and broadcast standby freezing and…

TV and broadband stopping and freezing and TV signal constantly been lost.
This is becoming very frequent throughout April.
I Contacted Vodafone.
They say the issue is not with them, but with siro.
It's impossible to contact them .
The customer service is shocking and a disgrace.
I am paying for a service that's below standards..
Siro is below par

I have been out of broadband and wifi…

I have been out of broadband and wifi service for the past 5 days . I logged a complaint and was told it would take 72 hours for a technician/ engineer to call out to the house. This was 5 days ago… I have contacted sky severally and was told the problem appears to be from the SIRO fibre box and would require the attention of one of their engineers and they have logged in a complaint so i would have to wait it out. I have never had this kind of experience before and at this point is considering changing to a new brand band provider.

I am trying to get in touch with the company. They only have a email address and that too will get a response only within 10 days it’s a waiting game I guess. New estate new house but no broadband , builder says there is SIRO available but no idea how to get connected.

Been a absolute hassle trying to get…

Been a absolute hassle trying to get fibre broadband installed. Initial feedback from customer support was that Siro is available at the premise and was also shared a premise ID. When I subsequently requested for broadband installation I am told that it isn’t available and they are going to send some one to get a connection. Conflicting answers from the same company

The SIRO BROADBAND 1000 contract is a scam...

The SIRO BROADBAND 1000 contract is a scam to say the least.
They say Unlimited SIRO Fibre to the Home but is not. It's a Fibre who goes to a dsl FritzBox Modem, and there is a fibre to dsl converter that you have to power up and drill a 8mm hole in your wall in order to use it. What's the point and effort on selling Fibre to home if your last terminal is dsl and the converter has to be powered up, LOL. Google it these guys are for real, such a joke. The modem they sent you is a FRITZ!Box 7530 with 300 Mbit/s VDSL connection, so goodluck even getting 300mbit/s wireless, so cringe.
If that wasn't bad enough, you can only use this modem up to 10 mt from your home terminal (their standard fibre cable is 10mt long). So if your terminal is more than 10 mt away from your current broadband socket they have to drill your wall wherever they think is better for you without even getting in consideration where are the wifi devices located in your home.
And if it doesn't suit you the technician won't believe you and say you don't understand how this thing works.
Very messy and cringe service overall please stay away from SIRO.

Incredibly bad service

We moved into a new build and waited a week for Actavo to come and install Sky & WIFI, only to discover that SIRO had "not put the right infrastructure in place". 20 days later SIRO came to fix it!!! Actavo came the following day to install and told me that SIRO had not fixed the issue. So back to square one. Absolute nightmare. Work for myself and have to hotspot all day. Was really looking forward to chilling in front of the TV over Christmas but I guess that won't be happening now. First World problem? Yes. Still incredibly annoying? YES!

I'm waiting more than 3 years to get…

I'm waiting more than 3 years to get connection. They promised me that I will be connected soon as possible, then start to told me that I'm not in the plan and finally 7 months ago they told me that I'm finally in their plan again. Since then I'm waiting to get connected but everytime I send them email with question "when I will be connected" they start to ignore me. Very disgracefull service.

I moved into my new house in January…

I moved into my new house in January 2022, a Siro engineer called to say they made a mistake installing the lines, but don’t worry he’s not forgetting me. That was 8 months ago, They are in my park every week and have moved on to the rest of the development. Shocking to be honest.

Shocking customer service

Siro came, put all the cables on my house and all my neighbours on my row. They worked outside in the ducting for a few days. When I emailed them to see when it's going to go live I was told "on initial survey siro cannot be fitted to your property " I emailed again as they have no contact number to ask them to double check as this is surely a mistake as all the wiring is in place and looks ready to go and why would they all this work if on the initial survey they found an issue. Same generic answer I received in the previous email. I told them to remove all the cables from my house if its not going ahead but not surprising I haven't heard back from them. A complete joke of a company from my experience anyway.

I have been trying to contact siro for…

I have been trying to contact siro for over 6 months have emailed numerous times and they don't seem to have a contact number to ring them. I'm doing construction to my house and there cable is in the way and exposed. I don't want to cut cable because neighbours will be left without WiFi. Have tried so to contact other companies that siro contracts the work out to but all say it's impossible to get in contact with siro. Work has stopped on construction because of this issue

Disgraceful customer service (8 days without internet)

We have now been 8 days without internet. SIRO have known about this issue and still refuse to send an engineer out? Terribly customer service. We’ve even tried to contact them on 7 of the 8 days without internet looking for an update and they keep feeding us the same “we’re looking into it” crap

Slow to get a line but once put in it works great.

Edit: I'm updating the review below because I did manage to get in touch with them and chase them up and they managed to get everything set up. The guys who came out to do it were actually pretty sound and showed me that the line was now working, explained what the diagnostic readings were and told me to use this information when contacting my ISP in order to get someone out on their end.

These guys are slow to start and if you run into issues, don't rely on your ISP chasing them, do it yourself, in my case it helped. The line has worked great and my connection has been good. So I'm bringing my review up to 3 stars from one.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Really disappointed with these guys. I'm waiting over a month to get service and I can't even get confirmation for an ETA of completion. I work from home for a foreign company in a job that's dependant on decent internet and at this point I'm actually at risk of losing my job due to not being able to do my work.

I have never felt the need to leave a negative review for anything in my life but this has been an exception.

Still not Internet although have fibre lines

Living in estate 4 months now and we have no Internet, the fibre lines have been installed and can't get a response as to when we wjll be able to actually go to provider !!! This is beyond a joke now with this ... numerous emails sent and still.no replies !!!!!

Estate name is dundoogan !!! Plenty other houses have it .. but certain houses not able get anything!!

24 families in my estate being ignored

24 families in my estate have been emailing this company for 4 months . They just ignore us. All our neighbors have the optical fiber installed and yet we cannot have any broadband services as they are not enabling the services. (Dundoogan - Dundalk)
EDIT: changed from 1 star to 3 stars. After the installation the service is amazing . It is just the customer support of this company that offers a terrible experience .
