Submitted a bid on a Sony TV, quick reply asked me to up the offer. Did this and offer quickly accepted. Confirmed order 3/10, 4-8 working days delivery. 7/10 email saying item shipped and courier would contact me to arrange delivery....then.... nothing.
21/10 after numerous attempts to message the " company" eventually the message service became active. Asked for courier contact details, quick reply asking for my details even though I'd given order number. Gave my details and then .... nothing.
24/10 message service becomes available and I repeat my request, and
ask for a reply to avoid a section 75 claim. Again, reply asks for my details (stalling tactic?)
Throughout this period I am prompted to email their sales "team" and each time I get an Out-of-office type response saying ..."be patient, we're very busy and a small family business...blah blah"
24/10 I also get an email saying that the TV had been damaged, was in quarantine and offered three options
1: alternative TV
2: wait for new stock
3: a full refund.
It also contains a thinly veiled threat not to reveal any details to a third party.
I checked their website and found the exact same TV was still available on sale.(It remained on sale for over a week), so I replied to the email asking for option 2 and gave them three days to respond with a delivery date before I claimed my money back via my credit card. I got the "please be patient" reply to my email on 24/10. And then..,. nothing.
I've had absolutely no contact with them since.
28/10 I contacted my credit card and asked for a charge back. This was speedily handled the money was refunded by my credit card company by 30/10. I ordered the TV from John Lewis on 31/10, and received it on 6/11.
I would advise anyone to avoid this company as they appear to advertise products they don't have, and their contact service is virtually non-existent

Great price, good communication, TV boxed and well protected, delivery schedule accurate. Small gripe would be delivery team declined to take packaging away despite it being advertised. Minor detail as would definitely buy here again. Thanks 👍
I purchased a TV from this company, paying them £1099.00 on the 19th August 2024. After weeks of chasing, (they have no phone number and their chat does not work so the only choice is email, which they take days to answer) they told me the courier had broken the TV and they would refund me.
It is now the 3rd November and still no refund.
DO NOT TRUST THEM TO DO WHAT THEY SAY AND MY RECOMENDATION IS, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

Excellent company. My Samsung The Frame was a great price and perfect. Smart Appliences responded to my questions very quickly and knowledgeable and accurately. I highly recommend them.
Ordered a TV and paid on the 10/10 with the stated 4 to 8 working day delivery time and I would be contacted by the delivery company regarding delivery dates.
After 6 working days emailed saying I'd heard nothing and was a little concerned. Got a short reply saying they'd email the company and that was that.
Now after 19 days and multiple unanswered emails I've had to leave this review in the hopes of gaining their attention for a refund.
I see some people have had good experiences with this company but I have had a terrible one and I'm currently significantly out of pocket whilst they hold my money and haven't supplied the item.
Update.
After leaving a trust pilot review I was finally contacted by smart appliances uk.
I was told that the item was broken and that they had contacted me regarding a different item as a replacement. When I said this was not the case, I was then told that they were working in the background to resolve the issue. So differing statements.
I asked for a refund and after a few offers for other items they accepted and refunded me. This took 2 days from first request to it arriving in my account.
I have since been offered a generous discount on a top of the range model with expedited delivery. Unfortunately the whole situation left a sour taste in my mouth so I would not take them up on the offer.
If this level of service was given to me straight away, I would have not written the bad review in the first place and would have been happy to rate higher.
Additionally, the reply seems to be regarding at another customer as none of the information stated there is correct.
