SpamHaus should not be used by Email Providers

We have a customer that report us cant receive our messages anymore, like after 7 years. We always send from same IP, no changes, same Port security, do Trojan.. kind 7 a 9 email messages a day! This client use outlook.com Plan and after a deep search we realize our IP was listed on that very bad unprofessional company SPAMHAUS, like other said SPAMHAUS = SCAMHAUS.., well after days try to remove the IP, same days successfully we get the IP come back to their system even after all emails ports closed on our server. He use a software that monitors all outgoing messages, even internal or SMTP related ones. Nothing can outgoing without pass through that monitor. So we started a conversation with this company and even after 3 days of communication they were not able to provide us with even 1 message source. They are simply not competent and my recommendation is that they stop responding with automatic messages to those who open requests and take seriously the valuable service of fighting SPAMers. I also recommend that Microsoft "only identified outlook.com" stop using SPAMHAUS as a filter because the problems will only grow.

They add domains in their black lists…

They add domains in their black lists with no reason. And when you want to contact the support they just don’t respond. What’s the organisation and why it even considered as a trusted source by domain registrars?

Clan Detention

Spamhaus condemns people for the actions of their neighbors (there is someone who sends Spam via your website hosting or domain service provider? You are blacklisted for his behaviour). That's called "Sippenhaft" (Clan Detention), and as a German, I'm very familiar with it because this is what the NAZIs did. The unfair Spamhaus system and the illegitimate assessment criteria are depriving companies of the opportunity to run their business: Legitimate Emails are sorted out by Spamhaus or are redirected to Spam-Folders: Communication with clients is not possible. As a result, businesses are forced to consider taking appropriate legal action. Spamhaus is not allowed to dictate the choice of domain providers or servers to anyone in a free economic environment. Furthermore, the individual case must ALWAYS be considered. There is no “rubbing off” of the neighborhood in the legal field (like Spamhaus likes to put it). The Spamhaus offer serves to destroy the middle class and tries to enforce the use of the infrastructure of certain providers that Spamhaus subjectively considers "good": To whom's benefit? This is illegitimate and an abuse of a power position. In the USA and maybe also in the tax haven Andorra (headquarter of the so called "Non-Profit"), people will be delighted to see such abuse in court. Not victims of the Spamhaus system need to change their setup. Spamhaus needs to change its system and criteria: one way or another. There is no way around it. Be it voluntarily or enforced by legal means.

My New domains getting blocked

I recently launched new domains, and it has been a frustrating experience with Spamhaus. I haven’t sent any marketing emails—just a few messages to my team—and yet my domain is on their block list. It feels really unfair, and all I get are automated replies from bots. This has been a terrible experience!

My website has been listed on Spamhaus…

My website has been listed on Spamhaus for more than 3 months. I have sent multiple requests to delete it, but they always says it's not eligible for removal. I barely sent out emails, and it's unknown why I am on the list. Happily, I use Office365 email service - so in general most emails just go through. But these guys are just so childish.

Spamhaus is a SCAM - report them to the BBB and FTC

Spamhaus, who I have zero relationship with, arbitrarily listed my IP address as SPAM and will not remove it. I am writing to the BBB and FTC about them. It is a scam and like the credit bureaus have no direct relationship with me and no basis for their accusations and unilateral punishment. They claim I need my ISP to get removed, but they did not use my ISP to block me. They have no right to do this and I am going to see them pusished.

Worst company ever

Worst company ever. They blocked my IPs for no reason. We have AI, spam filters, and more – they simply block new IPs to prevent competition with other ESPs. They don't want new ESPs in the market.

Even if you request more details, they simply reply that you are not qualified for removal and say goodbye.

If I could, I would rate them -10 stars. This company does not deserve to be a spam service provider. They probably receive incentives from the big companies out there. I have a set of IPs from a big company that were never blocked, and they don't block IPs from big companies. The emails sent are exactly the same!

Support will not work with us to resolve issues

We operate a mailing list for a regional grocery store chain and we've got a spamtrap address in our mailing list, but SpamHaus refuses to work with us to resolve the issue (or even give us a hint of what is wrong). We have tried using 3rd party services to determine the spamtrap address. We have re-captcha on all our forms and require double opt-in for the list. Due to the attitude of the support technicians, not only will we never use their services, but we will never recommend their services to anyone. period. SpamHaus was a great idea ruined by the people who run it.

Spamhaus = SCAMHAUS

This Platform/project is the worst thing on the internet.
People invest their money to develop their projects and they go and put their domains in the blocklist without a reason.
I purchased a domain and the blocked me, pretending i did a mistake.
I purchased a new domain and i got directly blocked without a reason.
If there is any authority that has power against them , please take action, we are having hard times and now we have to deal with these amateurs.

Spamhaus just a nightmare

Hi,

I am the CIO of a mid-range company with around 6500 users. We have our own mail servers with correct SPF, DMARC and all necessary asset to do not considered as spamer. Since a week, Spamhaus (only spamhaus) blocks IPs after IPs of the different sub-domain we own. We never got any issue since yearq (except once because of hacked emails by Microsoft time ago). I have no clue at this time except ordered more IPs to cover the time to get them safe new. If someone have idea to workaround or solve it, be my guest.

Regards,

JM Roblin
CIO ADM Value France

I am extremely frustrated with…

I am extremely frustrated with Spamhaus. My domain, which I registered only three days ago, has already been marked as spam. This is absolutely unacceptable and has caused me significant issues.

I purchased a VPS subscription, web hosting, and a domain from Hostinger, but quickly realized that I needed managed VPS instead. I canceled my VPS hosting and web hosting on the same day and switched to A2 Hosting for managed hosting. During the process of transferring my domain to A2 Hosting, I discovered that my domain had been marked as spam by Spamhaus.

This is a brand-new domain, and there has been no activity on it except for the transfer process. There is no legitimate reason for it to be flagged as spam. This careless and unwarranted action by Spamhaus has delayed my project and caused unnecessary frustration.

Spamhaus needs to review their procedures and ensure that legitimate domains are not mistakenly marked as spam. Their current practices are unreliable and unprofessional, causing significant inconvenience to their users.

I receive dozens of SPAM/PHISHING…

I receive dozens of SPAM/PHISHING emails a day from a particular group of companies wanting me to 'subscribe' to their financial services. I've never heard of any of these companies or so called experts. I keep reporting these email to Spamhaus, yet they keep making it to my INBOX. This has been going on for almost a year. I feel like I am wasting my time reporting them. I can use SpamAssassin on my Windows devices to catch most of them and send them to a local 'junk' folder, but they get through the email system as unmarked on my Android devices and end up in my INBOX. My complaint is a little different than most on here. I browsed through the complaints and it seems that most of them come from people involved in mass email marketing.

Robots out of control leading to false positives

this company uses robots to ascertain if you are a spammer. they do not seem to do an investigation of their allegations just canned answers. in fact, they seem to be joyous of the banned IP's misfortune.
their subscribers (ISPs) are sold a "bill of goods" with spamhaus statistics, overblown for sure from their flawed practices.
these FLAWED practices must be reported to the EXTERNAL governing body of this company.

My IP got blocked several time…

My official IP got blocked several time within 3 weeks, resulting in total email chaos as I stopped being able to send mail. I'm bot-accused of sending spam??!! All my machines are dead clean and run anti virus! As a freelencer, my whole mail correspondance got disrupted, this is totally unacceptable! I had to get a new IP from my ISP, and 10 days later, I was AGAIN on one of their blocklists!
Now I unblocked myself twice and my mails keep getting returned undelivered. I'm seriously pissed off by now, and this self appointed net police should be held accountable and legally stopped from randomly interfering on the net without any official legal mandate. They have no idea of the chaos they send users into and don't give a ****either.

Just got "blocked" by Spamhaus

Just got "blocked" by Spamhaus on my personal laptop. Went through their process and unblocked. Sent another email and got blocked again immediately. I am an individual. I don't have an IT dept to fix whatever they think the problem is. Who gives them authority and how is this any different from any other form of scam?

Why would anyone trust this company

There are no paths to remediation once you've been hit by a false positive from this company. They do not care about business impact, and certainly won't bother investigating and remediating their error.
Their support team seem to derive joy from learning about the losses they incur.
