Where do I start?? I ordered several items of ski wear and equipment for my sons skiing trip 9 days ago. Having been in store and tried on several jackets and trousers we established that we would need to order online as the sizes were not available in store. I was advised by the assistant in store that the process would be simple.
I duly placed the order and 9 days later am still awaiting it. I am now panicking as my son goes in his trip in less than a week and he has no ski wear.

Sick of talking to robots and being fobbed off that they’ll contact the courier. No one ever gets back to you.

Stay away from this company, absolutely rubbish customer service , breaking the law , when you buy off them , if you purchase of them & you find a fault with there product will only offer you a credit note ,on line the same no refund credit not

Same as previous really, except i didnt even get an email. Went to go in October and saw that it was shut. Still taking direct debits. Have tried multiple times to cancel direct debit. Then the robbers set up a new direct debit in November !! stupidly did not notice the debit until January. How can they set a new ddm up? never use any SPORTS DIRECT gyms or shops

I was a member of the Hove gym. They took the cash out of my account then closed down a week later. I was told I'd be refunded but it never happened.

DO NOT ORDER FOR DELIVERY. They use EVRI, the worst company. Nothing arrives. And Sports Direct keep the money, claiming it is "not their responsibility" once shipped. Atrocious. Surely criminal. Evri must cease to operate, they are terrible and all companies that use them should be boycotted.

Was a member of the Bury St Edmunds Gym, and the gym itself was fine.
What wasn't fine is that when I got in touch with their customer service team to ask why they were continuing to take money from my account (with proof that I had sent them an email requesting to cancel) I didn't receive even the tiniest apology, this was on the 7th October. It is now over a month later and although I received a cheque refund, the signature didn't match the mandate - and I was fobbed off with the excuse from Sports Direct Fitness that sometimes that happens with cheques that are a large amount, which I somehow doubt is true - it's now been another 3 weeks since I told them that the cheque bounced I still haven't received a replacement and they are now ignoring my emails. If you ever intend on cancelling your membership at any point don't use this gym!

A great gym good classes friendly staff I've made some good friends there .new classes now as well a good experience

I’ve had a gander at the reviews above and to the horror or my readings I cannot believe the poor reviews.

I personally believe SDF offer a cheap price for the facilities that they provide. The staff are characters, brilliant, ranging from a young coke head to an ex athlete, they provide brilliant shine to my arrival.

I would highly recommend SDF, as they are the Wetherspoon’s of all gyms.

Always get a good pump with the equipment, which helps for my quests out in the nightclubs later that night. No pigs for me! 💪

Again, to finish. I highly recommend. Some fan-bloody-tastic experiences!

Croydon branch closed due to Health & Safety violations. Really all you need to hear.
Membership cancelled. Then Gym closed for above reasons. Then 2 months later, signed me up for another gym - though no notification whatsoever. Have had to track down contact details, contact bank and try find out what on earth is going on. Ridiculous. Trying to just sneakily take your money.

When open pool was dirty and cloudy. People would go from the sauna and directly jump in the pool. By midday, you are just swimming in sweat and plasters.

I wish I had the opportunity not to even give a star to this previously good gym. I was managing to get my life back . They just dropped us all with no prior notice. If I know anyone in any of their gyms. I will advise them to leave

Today for the third time as a disabled person I’ve been locked out of the toilets and told to wait while their personal trainer changes in the disabled toilet
They have absolutely no empathy or professionalism and I will now take this up with the owner.

An absolute disgrace in how they closed down the Croydon Gym. Got emails around 4.30 yesterday that it would close that evening - no explanation except to say that we should be excited about going to Epsom (6.5 miles away). No notice to staff, small businesses who work at the gym (who were in shock) and no consideration to the members..some of whom the gym was a lifeline! The community there was incredible and you've treated all of us callously and degradingly!

Email received at 16:08 Friday 1st July informing us that the Croydon gym was closing permanently at 17:00 the very same day.

Direct debits taken day before though.

Wasn't a particularly pleasant experience down there, very 'street', with people just loitering by the poolside (designed for exercise) and in the corridors but cheap as chips I thought, what do you expect.

Well got my answer today.

Robbing, thieving, dishonest.....the signs were there, my own fault.

Steer clear of this outfit, wherever they are based.

Gym was all good and satisfactory… but trying to give notice of the 3 month cancellation period impossible. Been trying for 3 weeks. No reply to any emails. Only option is to cancel DD & explain this to the debt collector when they call!

Please read all the reviews on here they are completely correct, don't join and save yourself the hassle!

I'm not sure how they get away with you not being able to cancel, I was trapped in a loop of trying to cancel for 4 months until one eventual nice employee helped me.

Atrocious customer service and they ask you to jump through hoops to prove you are no longer going to be living in the area.
Said that if I could show them proof of new address it would only be a 1 month cancellation but then proceeded to knock back every bit of proof I gave them in February and I was still expected to pay until June?
When they finally accepted my proof of new address in April they then decided to charge May 😡
It’s a terrible way to run a business and it’s no wonder they get awful reviews.
The manager was as helpful as he could be in trying to get it sorted but Head office just weren’t interested in seeing common sense😡

Avoid, I requested to cancel my membership and received an email to say i had no further payments but they took another payment. I then called them and was quite rudely told there's actually a 3 month cancellation period. Reviews speak for themselves, wouldn't recommend these to anyone. Strongly suggest people pay that bit extra for better service & better equipment.

All the reviews are correct about this gym. Avoid it like the plague!

They are trying to charge me £40 to cancel. When my membership is only £20 and then they want the £10 cancellation fee. The gym is denying me access saying I have already cancelled. So all in all, I've paid £40 for a gym I haven't haven't able to use.

Despicable!
