Excellent Activity
We attended a planting activity for my child. The activity was well planned with lots of choice and allowed plenty of time. Bonus for including snacks! The lady leading the group was awesome at engaging and instructing the kids in a very calm environment
Prop box workshop
My son and I attended the
propagation box workshop with Johnny on May 17th.
We had a fantastic morning learning about indoor plants, soil mixes, and how to successfully propagate our plants. Johnny is so enthusiastic and knowledgeable, as well as considerate and inclusive to all who attended. We had a fantastic time, and then bought some lovely plants from the garden centre. We had a great experience.
Propagation class with Jonny
I joined a propagation class on Saturday with Jonny, the bearded plantaholic. I've followed his social media posts for a while, so it was great to attend the class. Jonny went through soil and how to kis the perfect batch for your plants, as well as how to create a propagation box to then be filled with plant cuttings.
Such a genuinely lovely guy, so much knowledge and welcoming to everyone.
We are lunch in the cafe before, which was great and good value for money.
The garden centre had a good selection of outdoor seasonal plants, so of course we came home with more!
I'd recommend the propagation class to anyone who's interested in house plants and wants to learn more.

Had a fantastic experience at St Peter's on Saturday 17th May for the Make Your Own Propagation Box Workshop. Jonny, the workshop leader, was amazing - knowledgeable, kind, understanding, and so passionate. I would recommend this workshop to anyone with a vague interest to a passion for house plants. I came away with so much information and resources for being able to propagate at home. Wonderful space in the garden centre too!

I had an awesome time at the Propagation workshop with Jonny (thebeardedplantaholic) and loved the garden centre too. The venue for the workshop was lovely and everyone was really helpful. My husband tried some food which he said was lovely and I bought a beautiful plant. We will definitely be visiting it again 😊
A really lovely morning with Jonny
A really lovely morning with Jonny - well worth it! The Bearded Plantaholic really knows his stuff and is a fountain of wisdom and knowledge. Great venue and I hope there will be other events that I would want to book. If you are mad about house plants go. I learnt loads 😊
Simply wonderful
Sam is so helpful with all her practical tips, she makes everything fun and brings the whole group together. She brings so many plants, feeds, containers, compost and mature with her and promotes the purchase of the best products St Peters has to offer.
I am so looking forward to the next one, worth every penny. Thank you Sam
A lovely experience
A lovely experience, well run by the staff and which the children thoroughly enjoyed.

We took our daughters to the Easter event and it was brilliant! Great value for money- they both loved all the activities on offer (the puppet making and sunflower planting were fab!) and the staff in the yurt were so helpful!! The girls enjoyed a walk around the lovely river side garden and - As ever - the cafe and scones never disappoint!
Easter Crafts
Fab morning, organised really well! My daughters loved it, great value for money! Thank you & Happy Easter
Easter Craft Session …
Attended the craft session provided over the Easter period. Great variety of crafts for all ages. Staff were well organised and helpful. My granddaughter had a great time. Good value for what we paid.

Always found staff willing and helpful over the years I’ve been coming to garden centre. Although not sure the ass manager in the potting shed is showing a commitment to the job walking around with earbuds in
First Class Experience
I went to the propagation lesson. The invited speaker was great as was J from St Peter’s. A great learning opportunity and I took home a large tub with cuttings in it.
First Class.
First time visiting
First time visiting, from Yorkshire, for a Bearded Plantaholic workshop and met my best friend for lunch , from Devon, before hand. After a long journey it was so lovely to be greeted by amazing people who were all warm, friendly and welcoming. We got to eat delicious food (the pie and gravy was something special), sit and catch up in a lovely environment, drink lots of tea and shop! It has a very lovely atmosphere, great products/plants/location and the workshop was joyous in the yurt. Thanks to all. We will definitely be visiting again as a perfect venue for a girlie catch up as it's so doable for both of us in a day 💚

Great Grow Your Own talk by Sam
Went to the Grow Your Own talk by Sam. A really good informative session and I learnt a lot. A session on soil health and composting would be a valuable addition to her talks.
Afternoon Tea
Booked Afternoon tea as a special treat for my husband's Aunty's 80th birthday. Was not disappointed. We had the sweet version and it was plentiful, super fresh and a good variety. Would highly recommend as very good value for money. Staff also friendly and attentive.
Lovely afternoon tea
I booked afternoon tea and was so impressed with the friendly service and the vegetarian and vegan options that were served. I highly recommend!
