I ordered an IPL Device from this company following a review on topbeautydevice.com. This website popped up after a google search for IPL hair removal device which directly linked to Sylvane and reported that the Trustpilot was highly reviewed for this website. I stupidly didn’t click onto the reviews, I just trusted that it was correct on their website. I went to check my email confirmations and noticed an email offering me a £100 gift card so alarm bells started ringing. I logged onto the account and the website was showing up as a Hong Kong address despite saying it shipped from the UK on previous pages. At this point I tried to click the trust pilot review and realised it was just 5* image that was imbedded in website and not a legit review! We have rang and cancelled the transaction on the credit card and cancelled the card. Avoid as it is a big fat scam!

If only I could give rate this company a big fat 0. A total scam. You never receive anything you order, no tracking info. Run by criminals to steal your money. I have reported this website to every suitable agency to look into them. Luckily I ordered a product on my credit card so was easily able to recover my funds

I ordered the hairdryer and i’m having chemotherapy for cancer so I don’t have a lot of money as I’m not able to work. when i checked this site afterwards I realised that it is a scam website. I cancelled my order only after 30 minutes and 3 hours later, i still received an email stating that the hairdryer had been dispatched. I contacted the company again and told them that I filled in the form as requested, and that i am having cancer treatment and they sent the same message out to me saying that i wouldn’t be refunded.

AVOID. Scam from China. Don't waste your money. Products never arrive.

If you have purchased anything don’t waste time contacting them, just get a card refund from your bank, also if you read any of these reviews then please listen to the advice!

Total scam company paid for products no email receipt or customer number and of course nothing of what I ordered

Scam company with high return fees, false phone numbers tricking people with Covent Garden Address which they are not registered at. Avoid and save yourself the hassle. Tried to cancel order within 12 hours but were told it was already on its way two days after my initial email to cancel order so I raised a dispute to get my money back, and cancelled my card.

Agree with all other reviews. The UK arm of this company appears to have been set up to make people think it is legit. I placed an order and received a confirmation email with a tracking number but when I tried to track the order the number wasn't recognised so on looking into it further I rang the supposed UK number but it is disconnected. Then I searched for the company on line & discovered there was an American company of that name they are not connected. I then discovered all the bad reviews and will now be contacting my credit card company to stop/refund the payment.

***EDITED**** Since ordering from this company, I have had so many spam emails from ‘discount store offers’ that I have never subscribed to. And phishing text messages from random numbers which I have reported. So clearly they also sell your information onto third parties. It’s not a coincidence they have just began coming through.

First I googled research for a face light mask which took me to a beauty website (top hit on google) where reviews and trust pilot backed the products. After reading, the luma glow 7 mask details it had more pros which then took me to SLYVANE website.
It stated there was a Black Friday sale and only 4 left in stock. The description said everything you want to hear and a link to a ‘fake’ trust pilot site with over 900 reviews of the company. Also showing influencers using the product. I checked the company’s address and it states head office was in London and posting was from UK. I purchased the light mask which cost £151 including a saving of £38 (cheaper than high street stores) it felt like it was too good to be true but all the information seemed very legit.
So I went ahead and paid.
This is when the red flags set in. The email confirmation showed I had a £100 credit to spend. Which then made me think no company would ever do this so I looked at the email furthur. This then showed a different head office which was located in Hong Kong where it stated shipping was from. Never said this before anywhere. The email was not professional and the email address had changed and the phone number. I looked on google maps at the new address and it was a derelict building. Second red flag.
I then checked the delivery time and it states up to 15 days from China. I then checked Instagram for these ‘influencers’ and they did not exist nor did the product anywhere on Instagram. Third red flag.
Finally, I then searched google trust pilot from my own search engine and it was not the trust pilot site from the original link on their website. Hence it brought me here. But it was too late I had already made payment.
30 minutes after I made the order I tried to request a refund and they said the shipment had already been sent but I had no email stating this. They then said that my order number and details did not exist in their system.
I have contacted my bank for a dispute and hopefully will hear back from them.
Please avoid this company at all costs as from the very first google search and the beauty website was all a scam and it takes customers to various sites they have made to scam people into believing it is legit. For around 40 minutes of research following links I was in a ‘fake phishing world’ They will ignore you when you ask questions and just send a generic email reply that does not answer anything you ask. Also the products they are selling are available on well known cheaper sites for around £10-£20.

Total scam! Raised a dispute with my credit card company have to wait 30 refund! Avoid!

By the time I did my checks it was too late I did come on here after my order and found not a single review! Big red flag 🚩
Also when I was googling the company sylvane it had great reviews but when reading them it was about nothing to do with beauty products. That was the .com not co.uk.

On there website says about return and refund procedure and 14 day money back guarantee.

I got in touch less that 24 hours from originally ordering and they said it's in fulfillment order process?

And I can request a refund when I receive the products, also reading it would go back to Hong Kong or China at extortion prices!

They haven't been in touch since last week and there has been no confirmation order email or shipping or even tracking, I have since reading these reviews today and just got off the phone to bank to lodge a complaint scam/fraud procedure 🤦🏻‍♂️ but I may be too late as I did place the order myself, please do not use this company and do your research and trust your gut over the excellent offer advertised.

If I could give this scam company zero stars I would. They’re instagram ad tricks you into thinking you’re buying from London. You’re not. Surprise surprise it’s based in Hong Kong. I tried to cancel my order within an hour of ordering and they refused. However they assured me I’d be able to get a full refund once I’d taken delivery of the package. Now they won’t send me return details and are asking for photographs of the package and a reason for return.

Beware scam company, I have already raised a dispute with my credit card. Website misleads you into thinking uk firm, but they are in Hong Kong and charge a fortune for returns. When my parcel arrives I will be refusing delivery.

I placed an order on 6th November for the IPL laser hair removal machine.
Firstly I googled 'laser hair removal' and clicked on the top link 'bestbeautyadvice.com' link which is a blog about different laser hair removal kits. I looked through them all and concluded that the "Glowsilk" hair removal kit was the best one so clicked the link. I checked through the website and looked at the reviews they have on it and all looked positive. I then googled sylvane trustpilot and sylvane.com reviews showed at the top and they were positive. I did not notice it was .com instead of .co.uk at the time - so I ordered one at £100 (half the price of UK high street products). It was when I received the order confirmation email and another email saying I have received a £100 gift voucher (who gives away £100? No-one) that red flags started appearing.
I dug deeper and double checked the sylvane trustpilot reviews to notice it was a completely different company that sells appliances, not beauty products.
Sylvane.co.uk website has only been created for a few days - red flag
Their address is based in London so I googled mapped it and it is a building about to be demolished (initially it takes you to an alleyway but when you move to the front, you can see the demolition instruction on the front)
I immediately (within 30 mins of ordering) emailed them to cancel my order. I received a response a few days later saying unfortunately our automatic processing has placed the order and there is no way of cancelling, even though the "policies" on their website state you can cancel within X amount of days.
I looked into the product further and the same one I paid £100 for is being sold on AliExpress for £10!!
These products are also being sold on Opheline.com - which looks like another scam company of Sylvane.co.uk
I have processed a charge back with my bank and ordered a new bank card so these scammers no longer have my details. The charge back was successful but Sylvane are constantly emailing me to reassure me that my item is on its way and to reverse the charge back. Not a chance!
Please do not use this website! I will be looking further into reporting them
Update - product arrived it does not work! It is cheap quality and I won't be returning for a 50% charge, it is going in the bin. I have reported them to NCSC and Action Fraud

Avoid like the plague. they are not based in UK, thought their website is designed to make you think they are. I cancelled my order just a couple of hours after sending it. I never even ever received an order confirmation yet they say they cant cancel my order as it it's already on its way. no possible connection to their (evidently fake) uk mobile number. even their 'dodgy' tracking system which they sent via email only after several push emails from me, still says 'parcel info received'. goods (if any exists) have therefore not even been picked by the courier. products (should they ever send anything) do travel from China, therefore, if you need/want to return goods you need to send them back to China at your own risk and cost. they will reimburse only after they checked that goods have been received by them 'in good order'. guess what they will say? basically this site is a scam. you may also check the opheline.com website. they are evidently the same scam as testified by the (fake) uk contact mobile number being the same for both 'companies'

I dont think this company is legit. Keep getting fobbed off about delivery. I doubt I will receive my order. 3 weeks now. Dont buy from them.
