This is definitely a scam. I ordered a book believing it to be a hard copy. It did not say anywhere that this was an ebook.
Apart from this they have taken 2 payments from my card.
I have emailed 4 times now and have received no response.
This company needs investigating and I will be taking this further.

Unfortunatley i am unable to give zero stars. I Purchased a book from here for a gift only to be sent an e book.
No where on their site do they say its an e book .
Have emailed several times and just recieve a generic email.
Scam

I have been caught out by a scam by the looks of things. I ordered the 3 x Pinch of Nom books on 2/6/21. I have been waiting since I placed the order for a delivery.
Today 21/6/21 I emailed theglobalworlduk asking when I can expect my order delivery. I received a reply telling me these are digital and I need a PDF reader to download them. I saw nothing to tell me these were digital books. I cannot use these.
I am so disappointed as wanted the books as a set to use.
has anyone else had issues?
I need a refund so I can order the set of books asap.

I did exactly the same as another person, thought I way buying 3 books and found out it was ebooks, it says nowhere on the site they are ebook. I emailed for a refund and got the following reply
'sorry the sale is final, no refund for digital books'.
I have not downloaded the books and have no intention of doing so.
Edit, now after threatening then with Trading Standards they have said I can have a refund.

Expected 3x cook books but received downloadable copies only. 3rd book is useless as I can't read the amount or the ingredients needed. I have sent 3 emails and received no response and have left voicemail again with no response! I wouldn't even give 1 star rating

Exactly as other reviews stated, not clear digital books only! Also they spout forth about customers a priority well I’ve sent two emails and not even received an acknowledgment!

How can they still be trading when it’s obviously a scam! I imagine they’re based in some derelict toilets somewhere on King’s Road!

As everyone else has said, no where did it say the book was a digital download. When I did download it, a cookbook, the measurements for the ingredients were missing! What bloody use is that. Like everyone else I've contacted and no response. Makes sense now why they don't take PayPal as they'd have refund claims coming out of their ears.

Everyone report them to trading standards.

Absolute rubbish, as other people have said, book was shown as hardback, not stated as a digital download! Have complained and not heard anything back.

Oh dear why did I not read Trustpilot reviews first!!! Well you know the saying…”if it sounds too good to be true” it probably is…..

The books they sell are mostly digital and they do not state this properly.

This company is poor!

Ordered 3 books weeks ago. Never turned up, never recieved anything other than my order info. Contacted 2 times and they never answered and because it doesn’t come up in thier business name on bank statements I can’t find a way to cancel the payment

I didn't know this was a scam. Well, you don't think do you? You want a book so you order it. I wanted it for a birthday present next week. I have just received my credit card bill with £7.50 on it for Chubby Cubs 2. Globalworld no longer have my email registered, I have no confirmation email either. Chelsea is the office address, but Lithuania takes the money..Funny how we've all been scammed on the same book.. Very Naughty!

Wish I’d have read reviews first! As with everyone else I thought I was purchasing hard copies - absolutely nowhere does it say it’s electronic copies. Total scam! Absolutely livid - how on earth does this company manage by being untruthful?

Scam copyright infringement, you will not get a book merely a download, the book I ordered does not exist legally as a pdf download. I have reported this comp ay for false advertising and copyright infringement. No refund

Absolute scammers awful company wish I had read reviews first!! Refused a refund when I realised it was just a download copy of the book as it doesn’t say this anywhere on their sales page etc and it even asks for shipping info leading me to believe I would receive the actual book!

As per other reviewers, I ordered books expecting hard copies but was sent a link for ebooks. After emailing 4 times, pointing out the fact that no mention of digital books instead of hard copies was mentioned and I'd be taking further action (trading standards and informing publishers) I was told my order was cancelled and I would receive a refund in 5-10 days........we'll see if it materialises before my cc company steps in

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Purchased a book which I thought would be arriving in the post. Waited a week for the delivery which never arrived so I checked my email confirmation which I then saw has a download link at the very bottom. Absolutely no mention of a PDF or digital copy or e-book on their website and it seems like I’m not the only one who has been conned by this. Very misleading and poor customer service. When I contacted them to explain I was hoping to give the book as a physical gift and would like a refund or physical copy they failed to acknowledge my concerns and continued on to give me instructions how to download the book. I will not be clicking the download link as it serves no purpose for me when it was meant as a gift and I don’t even trust the link they have sent me. I have contacted the publishers and trading standards to put a stop to this horrendous fraudulent ‘business’.
