I was scammed into buying an e-book. (TwoChubbyCubs) I emailed the ‘Theglobalworld’ who said they couldn’t refund, because it was a digital download.
There’s no mention of ebooks on their web site & I was lead to believe I had ordered a paper book.
I informed my bank straight away, so the payment from VISA/MasterCard was stopped & the money has been refunded by my bank.
I then received advice from Theglobalworld that my money would be refunded in 5 to 10 days !!!

Left a previous review to say how I was scammed into buying an e-book. I emailed the company several times and eventually got a refund so my advice to anyone else that’s been conned is keep on emailing. I also told them I’d informed trading standards and the book publisher. I had a reply from the publisher to say it’s being looked into.

Absolute con artists , unfortunately i didn't see these reviews beforehand . ordered the 2 chubby cubs book in the belief it was an actual book as i didn't want digital version - if i had wanted a digital version could have got it on amazon for 99p instead of 7.99 . got sent a download which i did not open and requested a refund . nowhere on their website or my receipt does it make clear its a download . they have refused refund 3 times I will be doing a charge back and contacting trading standards . This is so blatantly misleading and a fraudulent practice .

Huge con! I'm the same as everyone else on here. I ordered a book, gave over my "shipping info details" etc...only to receive a download version! It states nowhere on their website that the books are downloads! AVOID!! I've not downloaded the book, I have emailed them requesting a refund and had no reply.

What a con - I wish I’d read other reviews first. Ordered what I thought was a book - “only 34 left in stock” it said on the page. When I received my confirmation it was a link to download an ebook. Nowhere on the site does it say you are buying an ebook. It even talks about “shipping” and stock levels.
Have tried to contact the company for a refund but cannot get in touch. The whole thing is a con.

I wish I had read reviews before purchasing, I normally do but for some reason on this occasion I did not.

I thought I was getting a good deal the book was £7.50, nowhere in the description does it state that its an ebook, I filled in all my details including shipping info, again nowhere does it state this is an instant download or an ebook, maybe I should have been suspicious over free shipping but I have had alot of free shipping things lately so I didn't question it, I got a confirmation email which I didn't open it just went straight into the shopping/receipts folder this was Friday evening, come Monday afternoon I hadn't received a shipping email and something told me to quickly check my order, so I looked at the email and there was the download ebook button, I don't like ebook cook books and I was for the price I paid expecting the physical book, I double checked the listing thinking did I miss anything, I definitely hadn't,

I emailed the company, I got a standard response, and I've emailed countless times with screenshots asking them to point out where it clearly states this is an ebook and I've told them I have reported them to trading standards and that they are breaking distance selling laws etc and I want a refund but they just keep telling me I bought digital copy and to check my spam folder etc it's the same reply every time, I can't see me getting my money back, but I'm going to keep emailing, as its incredibly misleading, they need to clearly state what it is you are getting, filling in shipping and billing details insinuates you are going to ship something to me it does not make me think I'm getting a digital download which If that is what wanted I'd have gone to amazon for

Wish I’d read these reviews, thought I was getting a real book, nowhere on their site states they are digital, I emailed before anything was sent, point blank said no refund, I still havnt received any download either. I’ve reported them to Trading Standards they should be closed down totally mis-selling books, diabolical behaviour.

Shocking. I ordered a "book" only to discover after I had paid that it was in fact a digital download. Have sent 3 emails requesting a refund, been told point blank, no refund.
No where on the website did it state that the book I was ordering was a digital copy, nothing on my receipt either mentions a digital download.

You will not get what you paid for. I wish I had read the reviews before making my purchase.

This company came up on Google after searching for a book. Their price was favourable so I ordered it. Alarm bells started to ring when I noticed that the bank transaction didn’t mention the company name - it went through as a payment to Tarachern Lithuania. I then emailed them to ask when I was likely to receive the book but was told I had been sent the link to download it. There is no where on their website to make it clear that you are ordering a digital book and not a hard copy so they are deliberately misleading customers. An e-book is no use to me and I asked for a refund but was refused. My ‘book’ only cost a few pounds so I can live with losing that but several of their ‘books’ cost double that and more. I have now submitted a concern to Trading Standards and hope that they will follow up my complaint.

Doesn't plainly state that the book isnt hard cover it is in fact just a download

ordered 2 books on 03/03/20 have not received them have emailed twice and phoned the phone went to answer phone no reply to email or phone will never use this company again and not recommend haven't had my money back either.

I thought that I was purchasing a hard copy book and it wasn't until after purchase I discover that it was a download only purchase. I emailed and the response given was - NO REFUND!!! They have no customer service morals at all.

These people took my money and never sent my book. They never answer calls, texts or emails. No refund has been given.
Stay away at all cost.

Scam company selling books, take your money, goods are never received, no reply to emails or phone calls. Bank statement shows this transaction TARACHERN VIL;NIUS LT.

A scam company. Advertising hardback books. Brought one and it turned out to be an E book and a bootlegged copy! They’ll also refuse to refund initially. Took 4 emails and contacting my bank to get my money back Don’t waste your money.
