The whole experience was seamless
The whole experience was seamless. I would like to acknowledge specifically Stella who booked me in and was very patient. She made sure that all my paperwork was correct, sorted me with a sim card for my phone and spent extra time showing me around the hire car and how to use the sat nav. This lady was beautiful inside and out!
I would also like to thank Kristofar who sorted me out when I dropped off the hire car in the early hours of the morning. He even helped me lug my heavy suitcase out of the boot which was really appreciated. The car was also new and ran well so all in all a great experience.

Good but some improvements are required
Getting & returning the car was a smooth experience however I couldn’t match my iphone with the car’s system which made driving very challenging
I would also suggest that cars are given with a 100% full tank and not 90% as it’s more difficult to return the car with 90% full tank.

Top Experience!
I have hired several cars from you in recent years but this was my first from Plovdiv Airport. I did book in advance and had completed my details prior to collection so the whole experience was extremley quick, easy and straight forward. The car was as expected and described and was of the usual high standard. The Top Rent a Car representative at the aiprort was very proffesional, freindly and helpful both on collection and return, thank you.

Profit before customers seems to be the motto now
I rented a Renault Clio for 5 days, picking it up from Varna Airport after dark. As a result, I was unable to check the vehicle for damage. When I returned the car to the airport (having driven it very little) 5 days later, the agent undertook the check in my absence over a prolonged period and then asked me to come and see a barely visible scratch to one of the wheel trims, for which I am very confident I was not responsible. I was then kept waiting for 30 minutes while he tried to work out how much this would cost me. I was finally charged a total of 235 euros for this tiny scratch. The rental of the vehicle by itself cost 120 euros. I was unable to argue my case, otherwise I would have missed my flight. My request for a refund from the company was met with a firm blank. I shall not be using this rental company again. I note that my issue seems to replicate that of Mr Sharp who left a similar review on 7th April. This is a company that now clearly puts profit before customer care or goodwill. I am also very suspicious now as to whether the damage was actually sustained during the period of the rental.

Great service! The administrative process can improve
The car was in great conditions and the personnel was very friendly. We were just unlucky that when trying to sign the contract, the webpage was not working properly so were not able to sign it digitally and instead the worker had to print the 30 pages of contract. That was not the problem itself, but rather that the printer was also not working properly and it took 20 minutes for printing.

Charged twice (€257.94), service not provided, only partial refund
Paid 128.97€ online for a rental. Reservation was confirmed and check-in completed.
At pickup, the service was refused due to “internal requirements” that were not validated before payment.
After that:
- Only 103.18€ was refunded (not full amount)
- A second charge of 128.97€ was processed
Total financial loss occurred for a service that was never provided.
Case is currently under chargeback with the bank and a formal complaint has been filed with the consumer protection authority.
Recommend extreme caution when booking.

We confirm that a refund of EUR 103.18 has been issued. For full transparency, we recommend contacting your bank, which can provide detailed information about the transaction. In such cases, it is possible to initially see a full authorization followed by a partial refund—this is standard banking practice.
Regarding the cancellation, the requirement of at least 1 year of driving experience is clearly stated in our Terms & Conditions and applies equally to all customers, with the only exception being drivers over 30 years old. This rule is in place to ensure safety and fairness in our service.
On 02.04, we received a call from you confirming that a driver had been arranged and that you would pick up the vehicle. The reservation was therefore maintained and adjusted accordingly, but unfortunately, the vehicle was not collected.
While we aim to be as flexible and understanding as possible, we cannot make exceptions to our core policies. If you have evidence of double charging, please send it to us so we can investigate further.
