As a tutor, Tutorfair has been brilliant to work with. Clients can get in touch with me safely and directly and can book lessons online in a few simple steps. I've always felt supported by the team at Tutorfair, who are not only responsive and supportive, but also relentless in trying to create the best experience possible for tutors, for parents and, most importantly, for students. Having my own profile allows me to manage my availability and bookings online. I've also met some other brilliant tutors and I am able to recommend them to clients via the website when I am unavailable to teach.

Tutorfair provided some outstanding tutors to support my son in his 11 plus English exams. They were committed, kind, professional, punctual, amusing and highly experienced to cope with exam preparation, made learning fun, and took my son's story writing and comprehension skills to a higher level. Great value added and supplemented on a one to one what was being done st school. Worth every penny and my son got into our first choice school, so we couldn't be happier. Having spent a lot of time looking at different tutoring websites I found that this one is both easy to use and has great tutors on it.
Although some of the tutors are a bit pricey, there is a great range to choose from so that was not a problem at all.

I only started tutoring through Tutorfair recently and I can honestly say that it has so far been a fantastic experience. The site is developing every day and the amazing staff take on any feedback given to them about how it can be improved and if you have any questions they answer the phone or reply to emails immediately with incredibly helpful answers and explanations.

I think the whole concept of Tutorfair is truly unique and unlike anything that is in the tutoring industry at the moment, which is saying something considering how much the industry has grown over the last few years. I would highly recommend it for students and tutors alike!

Through Tutorfair I have tutored and mentored a wider variety and range of students than I had done with any previous agency. I have enjoyed tutoring students ranging from primary school level through to undergraduate level and the experience has been very rewarding. I love helping a student to develop and learn, and am delighted that Tutorfair have helped me further my experience.
Through Tutorfair I've also been able to do voluntary tuition for after-school classes for less privileged students. It is a privilege to share knowledge and ideas as a volunteer, and I have learned a lot from these experiences as well.
Perhaps as important, however, is the emphasis which Tutorfair places on encouraging tutors to meet each other at monthly socials. While working form some other agencies, I was sorry not to meet any other tutors doing similar work to me. With Tutorfair, I've got to know a wide variety of other keen tutors. It's great to be a part of this wider network and to feel supported by others in a similar position.

All the students I've taught through Tutorfair, including those I've taught as a volunteer through the Foundation, have been delightful and the whole process - from getting my profile set up quickly, easily and for free, to my first messages with clients, to booking, and even keeping in touch - has worked perfectly and smoothly. The community feeling among tutors is lovely; it's great to have met other people giving tutoring in London, especially those with lots of experience and tips to impart!

Nowadays all my new clients come through Tutorfair (or by word of mouth from existing clients). That said, though, Tutorfair have found me so much work recently that I've had to hide my profile and stop taking on new students.

I recommend Tutorfair highly - I love the way the business model includes pro bono work and I like the way their website model allows for tutors to be independent yet to benefit from being more than a tutor without any kind of affiliation. The personal touch is also nice - like the tutor drinks and the friendly people at HQ whenever I need help with something.

As a tutor I've worked with a number of tutoring agencies and websites, and I've found none as good as Tutorfair.

Their service makes it incredibly easy to connect with students, without the need to go through the many layers of agency bureaucracy: I just give them the lessons to book - they buy them - and then the next week I get paid!

I've also done volunteering with the charity side of Tutorfair, which has been incredibly rewarding. I've gone into a school in North London to run sessions with the 6th form on how to get into top universities. All of this is organised by Tutorfair for no extra cost, so the kids who need it most are getting the best advice.

I'd recommend Tutorfair for anyone interested in tutoring, and also giving back.

A great website, making the hunt for new students easy and safe. Very easy to navigate around the site, and contact with the team was quick and helpful if there were any problems. Only issue was that it wouldn't let me set my Drama A Level at an A*, only an A, but I flagged this up with the team so I'm sure it'll be sorted. Also really liked the extra emails about job opportunities in schools as it showed the team really had their eye on the industry and were putting in the effort to generate more work for those tutors using the site. I now live abroad in South East Asia so am no longer tutoring but would definitely go back to using it if it launched over here!

I've been with Tutorfair (as a tutor and a coach) for the last 9 months, and this is a groundbreaking new way of thinking. The great thing about their website is that all my clients get to see my full profile and read about how I support my clients.

I like to describe Tutorfair as Amazon for Tutors.

My clients can chose if they want to work with me or one of my fellow tutors and it's a great way to introduce a new tutor to the clients. Since they work through a website, they can afford to reduce the commission I pay them for my work. It's half of what I pay an ordinary agency.

Tutorfair also run some great training events, volunteering opportunities, and they organise social events for their tutors, so we get to know each other.

I can truly recommend Tutorfair to both tutors and clients.

A tutor for 5 years I have seen many tutor agencies come onto the market with the same old proposition. Tutorfair were different and they quickly caught my eye, not least due to the 'social conscience' aspect of their business model (for every student that pays for tuition, Tutorfair will give free tutoring to a student who can’t afford it).

In addition, their website is very simple to navigate and the search function straightforward. Tutors are easily comparable, and the video each tutor must have on their profile page (Tutorfair set up, record and edit each video) is, whilst being the single most terrifying thing I have ever done in my life, a wonderful tool enabling parents and students to get a real feel for the person behind the picture. We can all select a photo which we feel makes us look good, but a video lets our personality shine through and will set you apart from the other tutors. Some parents have told me they booked lessons with me on the strength of my video, as they could get an idea of who I was and how well I would suit their young student/family.

What really draws me to Tutorfair, however, are the people that work for the company themselves. A start-up in nature, there is a tangible enthusiasm and drive that comes across from the whole team, from the initial meeting (every tutor is vetted in person, albeit with wine and biscuits to smooth the evening’s gathering along nicely!), to the monthly tutor drinks event which brings tutors together to swap ideas, pass on knowledge, advise younger tutors and generally have fun. Most if not all of the staff are present at each drinks event, and rather than being a stuffy, corporate affair that you try and leave at the earliest socially acceptable moment, there is such a buzz of wanting to create opportunities for tutors, for paying students, and for tutors interested in volunteering to tutor students who are unable to pay. They’re a bloomin’ funny lot too!

If you are a tutor – whether new to the profession or with years of experience – I would thoroughly recommend checking them out and going along to meet with them on their regularly scheduled evening events.

I first came across this website when I was looking for an English tutor. I simply typed the subject, my postal code and I was then shown a long list of tutors who were available to come to my home. I could message them all for free, and they responded promptly. Tutorfair also have a fantastic customer service team - I couldn't recommend this website enough.

Wonderful website - lets you see everything about the tutors, you can search for people who will travel to your home and they are so helpful if you call. Oh and if you don't like the first lesson you get your money back!
