We’ve just taken collection of a new Honda Jazz Crosstar from Vertu Honda Newcastle. From our first meeting with Jack, Dan and Natalie everything about the process was straightforward and well explained. Customer care was excellent from the outset and there was no pressure whatsoever. Staff acknowledged that we were looking at other brands but we were given all the relevant information we needed to help with decision making. In the end it was that high standard of customer care that made a big difference in our choice. The purchase process was relaxed and easy and we’ve ended up with an excellent deal on a fantastic car and we couldn’t be more pleased with our decision. My formal complaint about my recent experience with your dealership, specifically regarding the purchase and return of a Ford Focus and the conduct of your staff member, Lee Henderson was never acknowledged.
Buying a car without seeing it or test‑driving it first was a mistake on my part, and unfortunately, the vehicle I received was completely unacceptable. The interior of the car had a strong, unpleasant smell, and the driving experience was extremely poor. As a result, I decided to return the vehicle and request the return of my BMW within three days.
While Lee Henderson was very pleasant and helpful during the sales process, his behaviour changed entirely once I asked for my original car back. He withheld my V5 logbook under the false promise that it would be returned to me once the dealership received the Ford Focus logbook. He only provided the green slip and assured me that the rest would be sent back, which did not happen.
More seriously, he deliberately failed to inform me that my BMW was about to be de‑taxed and de‑registered. Had I not contacted the DVLA myself a few days later to check the status of the vehicle, I would have unknowingly been driving an untaxed and potentially unregistered car, which could have resulted in significant fines. When I confronted him about this, he acted surprised, and the following day left me a message claiming it was “standard procedure,” which I find unacceptable and misleading.

Great customer service

First time buying a car without seeing it in person and experience has been great. Daud at Ford Newcastle was so helpful and guided me through the process over the phone and was always there to answer any queries I had. The car was delivered to my door within a few days. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Delt with a nice lad Adil, got a good deal on my PX more than other garages and the car was a respectably good price. Both party's happy. When got home noticed the last service history was not stamped and there was no car mats. I phoned Adil who said no problem come in on Tuesday and will sort. Came in no problems all sorted. Very professionally delt from start to finish. Brother looking to change his car in January and Adil already looking in stock for a Juke or Qashqai in will get sent up to Newcastle when sorted. Well done Adil and Vertu Motors Newcastle.

Adil was very respectful to me, given that I am a senior citizen and female.
I had already made up my mind about the used car I wanted that was on the market and he didn’t try to alter my decision or over sell it.
I felt comfortable inside the dealership and with the instructions I was given for going ahead with the purchase.
