Bought a used car from here last month, thought I was dealing with a professional company but every stage of the process was an absolute shambles. I paid to reserve a car and booked a test drive, travelled 100 miles to get there to find the car wasn’t even on site as it was in a garage being worked on. Work carried out on the car was more extensive and took much longer than I was told, and I got different stories throughout; whenever I tried to speak to a manager they were always unavailable. Delivery took much longer than promised and the car was driven to my house, not brought on a trailer as expected, and was filthy/covered in flies. They promised a full tank of petrol which was not delivered until I complained. Would not use again, only giving one star as I can’t give zero.

After discussing my servicing experience with several experienced and professional drivers, 2 others reported their BAD service experience...that is 3 out of a group 0f 8 saying how awful Kia Vertu Daybrook was. My experience was with servicing and their incorrect completion of both the video and the 'health' check..as afterwards my wing mirror lights didnt work. Something that was not picked up either either visual or printed reports. I had to fight to get a refund and I am tied in to have service with them as I bought 3 years of servicing. Please be careful when submitting a car for servicing..they have form saying you need new tyres...when you obviously do not ( another report from an experienced driver).

Phoned booked a road test on the phone with Leon 3pm, arrived on time completely ignored by staff in showroom reception area. Asked for the person I spoke with on the phone, he tried to ignore me knowing I was waiting to see him. so called him as he had his back to me. He tried to walk away the opposite way .Then after calling him again across the showroom said he would find the key. 10 mins later nothing we had been waiting 30 mins in total! So left the showroom went down the road and bought a Skoda ! Not a good service, glad we didn’t buy a car from them. ……..ps He did phone me 15 mins after I had left to see if I was still in the garage, Said he couldn’t get the car out had to shuffle cars, communication is the key word. And this should have been done after the phone call in the morning ready for the test drive! No excuses sorry…..

Once you buy the car, they just stop caring.
As we found a bit of rusting after buying the car, we requested paint and they promised they will send it.
Months later, multiple emails later, we still haven't got the paint nor a proper response.
Absolutely gutted that they treat their customers this way once the transaction is complete.

Well after waiting two and a half months for Kia to get a key for my kia venga, I've gone in today and asked for a refund as I paid for the key when the order was put in. What I cant understand is, why are no keys available? I'm now having to drive the car with no central locking, unable to get in my boot can access drivers door with the original key. Has anyone experienced problems with central locking?

Awful customer service can never get hold of the person dealing with you, always in meetings or on holiday? Never get a call back. We had to drive in to get to get an update, turns out the car we had left a deposit on, did not have full service history so was no good. So we cancelled the order and asked to get our £500 deposit back, we were told this would take 5 days, waited 5 working days nothing, so phoned again were told the person dealing with us was not in, so we asked to talk to someone in accounts, but unfortunately the accountant was on holiday????? But then we were told that the money had been paid the day before so we should see the money in our bank within 5 days, on day 3 now with no payment yet. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED Tony

Really disappointed and would not recommend. The airbag warning light came on for my Tiguan along with loss of controls on the steering wheel. Knowing there was an outstanding recall relating to the airbag, I called up to explain that either the clock spring was gone or the fault was linked to the recall notice. The advisor suggested it was worth them looking at the recall element in case it was linked to the problem. At no point was I told that if the recall was not the problem, then they would require the fault to be fixed before conducting the recall mod. Had they done so, I would have gone to my usual local garage first. I duly booked an appointment (which was a number of weeks at the earliest before they could fit me in!) and took my car in. From the off, it was very clear that the team at the garage had one intention in mind and that was to make me pay as much as possible for a free recall. I was sent videos of my car setting out the condition of it, and given a list of advisories and asked if I wanted them sorting. I felt it was clear that all I needed was for the recall to be attended to but this did not seem to stop them. They then got to the warning light and said that the problem was categorically not linked to the recall and that they would have to run a full diagnostic to identify the problem as they refused point blank to do the recall mod with a warning light on. They wanted £130 for this (and this was the discounted rate!) which is an absolute rip off when most garages charge around £50 for this, indeed Halfords currently do this for £25! Having no real choice and needing the recall sorting I reluctantly agreed to the diagnostic which came back quite quickly to say the clock spring needed to be replaced (interesting as I had specifically discussed with the advisor when booking in that this was the likely cause if the recall wasn't the issue with the light) and quoted a very high price which after saying I felt it was disgusting, they agreed to reduce by £100. Again, I felt I had no choice but to let them do the work as the recall mod would not be done unless I fixed the problem. Choice was either let them do it for rip off fee or take it to my usual garage to be repaired for a fair fee and wait lord knows how long to get a slot for the recall to be done So 4 working days after I took it in for what should have been a simple fix, I got my car back. The worst of this story is that they didn't even bother to check if the steering wheel controls worked properly after they completed the work which they do not! I will have to take it to my local garage to get fixed as I have no doubts that it will absolutely be nothing to do with the work they have performed and will cost even more to fix. No thank you, I will let someone I trust do this who I know hasn't set out with the sole intention of fleecing me. I would never willing take my car to this garage again and would never recommend them ever.

Dreadful Service from start to finish. Given a courtesy car which had no fuel, put fuel in then got a puncture only a mile or so away. Rang reception to be told someone would come out straight away. Rang back and they had closed. There was no spare tyre in the car or inflation equipment! Car was not fit for purpose. I was stuck in the dark on a duel carriageway on my own. Luckily my husband knew someone who worked there who was lovely and came out to rescue me. The next day I had no call, no apology or anything. When I challenged I was told ‘well we aren’t charging you for the tyre’ and won’t reimburse your fuel!!!!
There was an issue which I asked about and was told it may be covered under warranty. Was told I would be contacted. Despite calling over and over no one had had the decency to return my calls! It’s been over two months. To that end I’ve cancelled my service plan with them. Never again AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!

Purchased vehicle on line very good sales, couple of issues that was resolved within weeks, despite numerous phone calls and e mails to salesman Leon, the warranty documents have still not arrived despite him telling us he has personally sent them after blaming parts department, 6 months still no documentation very very poor after sales

Arrived to leave my car for a service , booked in via their website only to be told on arrival
O we’ve booked you in the wrong service it’ll be a extra £200 to what we quoted you
I disputed this price as I said I could book in for a major service using book my service for £173 only to be told
‘ when you book with Kia we use genuine parts’ so I asked my previous services booked via book my service at this garage you haven’t used genuine Kia parts !!!!
I didn’t mean that I was told the issue we have is time now because it’s a Saturday we close at 1
I was booked in at 11am
After being told if I don’t have the correct service which KIA had booked in wrong my warrenty will be void so at this point I said well I’ve no choice but when can you do it
Oooo we can do it now ( earlier time was a issue for a major service )
They did price match book my service quote so it only cost me an extra £100 but this was your mistake not mine I booked using my reg number !!!!!
Anyway off I went for a coffee to be rang exactly 90 mins later to say my car was ready and they needed payment as they was closing , I needs to pay and they’ll leave ny keys with the sales team !!!!! Wow yes a major service in just 90 mins when earlier I was told time was a issue
I have since rang a couple of Kia garages and not one garage has said they can carry out a major service in that time !!!!! But Kia daybrook you managed it ( leaving me thinking did I really get a major service despite the tick tick tick sheet )
I have used this garage since getting my Kia but think next service I will visit a different branch as
I filled in a feedback form hoping I’d get a call back but no nothing

Great communication, sorted any queries out quickly and we got our car sooner than we expected. Keith Stokes was efficient and friendly and rang to see if we were happy with our car. The filming of the unveiling of the car is naff and embarrassing.

Over the years of being a Kia customer I am now on my 4 Kia soul and would never change to any other brand. What I would like to say is over all the years from Nottingham I am have recently nothing but kindness, politeness and respect from all members of staff in all roles throughout the dealership. Would highly recommend as my car takes me North south east and west faultless. I would highly recommend vertu Kia Nottingham as being first class in all departments. On first arrival all front desk members, Sian,Kirsty, Natasha and Kyra are so very helpful and polite.
Bruce Lakin would like to thank everyone at the dealership.

We were interested in a used Kia Proceed GT-Line auto. As we live over 2 hours away, we initially requested a video - which was done well and sent quickly. The video stated that the vehicle was in very good condition - in fact the salesman stated he could vouch for the condition of the car as it had been his. So we made an appointment and drove the 2 hours plus to view it. Unfortunately when we arrived the car did not live up to the billing. Not only did it have more miles than was stated on the original web-advert, it also had a large scratch on the drivers door, damage to the entrance to the boot (on both sides) and the drivers side headlight was badly scuffed with some additional paint/lacquer damage underneath - apparently it had 'had a bump' at some point. The interior could also have done with a thorough vacuum. Although the salesman was pleasant, and stated that the damage would be rectified if we bought it, we feel the journey was a bit of a waste of time as the car was just not as 'clean' nor in the condition as advertised. The statement that they had 'another potential buyer lined up' was also a bit of low point and felt this was unnecessary to try to pressure us, when we had clearly said we would make a decision that day. We were keen to buy and would potentially have taken it on the day, so all in all a disappointing day. Wouldn't visit again.

As a professional driving instructor, I use my Kia Ceed for driving tuition and as such the car has to fully functional for the provision of driving tests and lessons.
The electronic key fob on my car ceased to operate and needed recoding, a 20 minute job, so you would imagine a quick simple fix, not at this Kia dealership. I was quoted on the phone an 7 week wait until they were able to book it in. Accordingly, I visited the dealership to plead my case for a faster resolution, the female receptionist was totally unaccommodating and informed me there was nothing to be done. There was no empathy shown for this unwarranted delay. I called another Kia dealership who said they could look at my issue the same day! They took 15 minutes to rectify the problem. Why this could not have performed by this dealership? I will leave you to decide. From my experience I would highly recommend that you do not use Vertu Kia Nottingham. It takes years to build a good reputation, but 5 minutes to ruin it.

I had made an appointment by phone and was asked if I wanted to wait or leave the car. It was to have a spare key coded. I arrived and was then told it would be a two hour wait. I queried why with an arranged appointment and one simple job should take this long. I was made to feel my time was worthless. The spare key I had couldn't be used so that was two hours of my life wasted.

I recently purchased a car from Vertu Volkswagen and Kia Nottingham North, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. While there were some positive aspects, there were also a few disappointments that need to be addressed.
Firstly, upon receiving the car, we noticed a significant issue with the passenger side rear tire pressure. The car's warning system alerted us to the problem, and we had to take the car to a puncture shop to rectify it. This was an unexpected inconvenience that should have been resolved before the handover. It would have been much more convenient if the dealer had ensured all the tires were properly inflated and in good condition before delivering the car.
Secondly, during our first visit, we were disappointed to discover several dents on the car. We had expected these to be taken care of before the handover, but unfortunately, they were not. This oversight left us feeling dissatisfied with the overall condition of the vehicle. As a customer, I believe it is reasonable to expect that a car purchased from a reputable dealer would be in good cosmetic condition.
Despite these issues, there were some positive aspects of our experience with Vertu Volkswagen and Kia Nottingham. The staff members we interacted with were friendly and helpful, and they provided us with the necessary paperwork and information promptly. The purchasing process itself was relatively smooth, and we appreciate the professionalism exhibited by the sales team.
However, I believe it is crucial for the dealer to address the concerns I have mentioned. I would have expected better attention to detail regarding the tire pressure and the cosmetic condition of the vehicle. As a customer, it is disheartening to receive a car with such noticeable issues. I hope that the dealer takes this feedback seriously and takes steps to improve their pre-delivery inspections and overall quality control.
In conclusion, my experience with this dealer was a mixed bag. While the staff members were friendly and the purchasing process was smooth, the issues with the tire pressure and the dents on the car were significant disappointments. I hope that the dealer takes this feedback constructively and works towards improving their attention to detail and overall customer satisfaction.
