I recently purchased a car from Vertu Volkswagen and Kia Nottingham North, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. While there were some positive aspects, there were also a few disappointments that need to be addressed.
Firstly, upon receiving the car, we noticed a significant issue with the passenger side rear tire pressure. The car's warning system alerted us to the problem, and we had to take the car to a puncture shop to rectify it. This was an unexpected inconvenience that should have been resolved before the handover. It would have been much more convenient if the dealer had ensured all the tires were properly inflated and in good condition before delivering the car.
Secondly, during our first visit, we were disappointed to discover several dents on the car. We had expected these to be taken care of before the handover, but unfortunately, they were not. This oversight left us feeling dissatisfied with the overall condition of the vehicle. As a customer, I believe it is reasonable to expect that a car purchased from a reputable dealer would be in good cosmetic condition.
Despite these issues, there were some positive aspects of our experience with Vertu Volkswagen and Kia Nottingham. The staff members we interacted with were friendly and helpful, and they provided us with the necessary paperwork and information promptly. The purchasing process itself was relatively smooth, and we appreciate the professionalism exhibited by the sales team.
However, I believe it is crucial for the dealer to address the concerns I have mentioned. I would have expected better attention to detail regarding the tire pressure and the cosmetic condition of the vehicle. As a customer, it is disheartening to receive a car with such noticeable issues. I hope that the dealer takes this feedback seriously and takes steps to improve their pre-delivery inspections and overall quality control.
In conclusion, my experience with this dealer was a mixed bag. While the staff members were friendly and the purchasing process was smooth, the issues with the tire pressure and the dents on the car were significant disappointments. I hope that the dealer takes this feedback constructively and works towards improving their attention to detail and overall customer satisfaction.

Purchased Kia Sportage GT Line completed on May 2022. Initially we were happy with the service and were dealt with Charlie Bonser / Sophie Birch but have some issues following completion.
issues are two-fold:
1) At no point through the sales process were we advised on gap insurance protection. We chased this with Charlie after the sale and advised someone would call, no one has. We have since obtained this of our own accord but for it not to be discussed is a potential breach of FCA regulations as all services haven’t been explained fully and no option was provided to protect us (beware first time car buyers!!).
2) as part of the transaction we part exchanged another Kia. This was handled by Charlie but he did not make the finance company aware. As such a payment of £199 has been taken from our account yesterday for a car we no longer own. We phoned the finance team but were told this was a “dealership error”. This has not yet been rectified as there “are no managers in”. Keep getting told we will get a call back or people are “on lunch”. Useless.
We have some serious concerns about the sales process both procedurally but also that customers are not being informed of risks (and subsequent ways to manage these) at Vertu Kia Nottingham. We also don’t feel paperwork has been explained properly.
