Very disappointing service.
This morning I had my car serviced and paid £400. I was told that car cleaning was included in the price. However, when I collected the vehicle, it had not been cleaned at all.
After I mentioned it at reception, someone took the car to clean it, but the job was done very poorly. Only the front of the car was cleaned, while the back seats and the boot were completely ignored.
For the price paid, this level of service is really shocking. It seems that customers are treated very well when buying a car, but afterwards the level of care and attention drops significantly.
Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing.

We as a business listen to all of our customers and whilst the majority of the feedback we get is very positive, there are rare occasions where we miss something. We use this type of feedback to continually improve our performance. In this instance it looks as though we have not cleaned your car whilst it has been in our service department. I am sorry that this was the case. I’m sure your Service Advisor on the day will have explained that our offering on the day is a Complimentary Wash and Vac which is not a full valet – we do however have a separate service which offers this for a charge should a customer need it, and they are able to book in advance. In terms of value for money and as a returning Toyota Customer you don’t just have your car serviced when you come into the service department – you initiate the next years warranty on your car which continues every time you have your car serviced up to 10 years or 100,000 miles (whichever occurs sooner). This is and industry leading offer. Looking at the age of your car the service you have had will have been the second year service which is always more expensive due to your car needing more at that stage in its life. I am sure your Service Advisor will also have told you about the Free of Charge 12-month Insurance Excess Protection you also receive as a returning Toyota customer? If not please let me know as this is a new addition to our Service Customer benefit package. I know that my Aftersales Manager has been in touch to discuss your feedback and will also have investigated why your car wasn’t washed and vacuumed on the day. Thank you for being a Toyota and Vertu customer and thanks again for your valuable feedback’.

From the moment we arrived we felt at ease. No pressure just support and knowledge. Everything was explained and we were given time to think and discuss what we wanted. Alfie our salesman was knowledgeable and patient, supporting an older person with the tech etc. The showroom was a relaxing place and all the staff were great.
