We have always used West Country Windows since we moved to Stoke sub Hamdon. They are a local firm and where possible we have always used local contractors and West Country have come up trumps every time. The professional way in which their work is surveyed, quotation submission and placing of an order is made easy by very helpful and great staff, not pushy, just very helpful and understanding. The fitter Steve who came to install new double glazed units in the room was excellent, keeping us informed at all times and ensuring that we were happy with his work. It is a pity that more contractors do not employ staff that have the same commitment that Steve has.
He asked us to inspect his work to make sure we were happy, and he left our home clean and tidy before he left. A big thanks to Steve and all the staff at West Country Windows. A job well done, and we would recommend them for any future work we may require.
What a great firm WCW are and they are LOCAL!!!!! - HOORAY.

A pleasure to deal with this company
We wanted 6 replacement windows and contacted West Country Windows having previous experience of this company through a relative. From quotation to finish they have been a pleasure to work with. Craig, our fitter, has been particularly caring knowing about illness in this family. He has been a very professional, tidy workman and we can't thank him enough for the way he has dealt with us. We would highly recommend any work needing doing by this firm.

Recently I had a couple of windows…new windows and conservatory
Recently I had a couple of windows fitted together with a super conservatory. One of the windows required a new hole to be made in a solid stone wall. The workmanship was excellent and it looks as if it has always been there. The conservatory was installed quickly and efficiently,the result perfect. I throughly recommend you contact them!

I have recently had my windows and front door supplied and fitted by West Country Windows, and I can honestly say they are brilliant. The guys that fitted them were lovely, very experienced, polite and done a fantastic job. I would recommend them every time.

These guys are a lovely bunch to work with. Feels like a family , they care ! Very proffessional.
Adrian & Jo fitted them for me and was very respectful of my property, clean , tidy work- and have the ability to chat AND keep on working at the same time. ( thats rare!)
Office staff easy to reach and talk things over with too.
I understand a warrenty can move over if i ever sell up, which would be an easier job now my house looks much nicer.

Excellent service with quality products
I first used West Country Windows in May 2022 to replace the windows on the front of my house and a back door. I was so pleased with the service I received from the West Country Windows team, and of the quality of the windows, I asked them to return to replace all of the windows at the back of my property and this was carried out in early November 2024.
From start to finish I received a professional and friendly service from the team in the office to the skilled fitter who fitted my new windows.
Communication was excellent and nothing was too much trouble.
I love the fact the windows are made locally and you can see they are of excellent quality.
I would highly recommend West Country Windows.

Great price, communication throughout process excellent. The mess was minimal and the finish product absolutely amazing. The house has been transformed with new windows and doors.

Great installation shame about the maintenance service
We had replacement windows and a door in January 2022. Installation was fine great couple of guys that fitted the windows, doors and fascias. We now have a problem with one window that it will not open. I contacted WCW using the maintenance portal on 18th August 2024 and to date have had no contact with the company at all.

Excellent workmanship and after service
Spencer and his team have been brilliant. From the moment of the first meeting for a quote until the finished product the team always kept us informed.
The whole crew were very friendly and informative. This was a large order of 28 windows, conservatory, bifold doors and 3 other doors.
Regarding after sales, we have had several calls from the team since installation asking if everything is ok, and where we have needed remedial work they were right on it!
I would definitely recommend this company even seeing the other reviews on here. The team have really picked things up and improved from recent years.

Poor communication and service.
Poor communication and service. Waited over nine weeks for my window to be replaced. In the end I gave up and went elsewhere. You won't find an open case because there is no longer one. I cancelled the order and requested a refund after being told different things each time I spoke to someone. I received my refund via check in the post once the accountant has returned from their paid leave. I also find your attitude massively insulting suggestion I don't know which company it was I spoke to.
If you don't know who I am why mention my husband's name Simon. I never said his name. No I won't be taking the review down!

Currently we have had no contact from the reviewer , so we are under the understanding that this isn't a genuine review and we have requested further information and opened an investigation via trustpilot.
Westcountry windows manufacturing to installation dates are 8-12 weeks. we have asked the reviewer for more information which they have refused to do. We have also check on customers who have had a refund for their deposits and nothing matches with window work. We believe you may have the wrong company and we are asking politely that you delete the review.

Very risky
They are good at performing the initial installation. But if a problem develops they are absolute rubbish. They just ignore you. They take your money and go.
It's up to you if you want to take that risk.
(This is a follow up.
Following this review the company has responded very quickly and someone is hopefully coming out tomorrow to resolve the problem.
So they may find their way back into my good books!)
A final update!
Darrel, from West Country Windows, just came out to resolve the problem. He was very efficient. Remarkably pleasant. And sorted out the issue. I would recommend him very highly.
So all is now well with the world. (And I have upgraded the star rating.)

Replacement double glazing
Excellent job. Two fitters arrived on time to fit replacement double glazed windows. Both fitters were friendly and respectful they did a brilliant job explaining how the locks worked. No mess and cleaned up afterwards. I would definately recommend West Country Windows to friends for replacement windows. A first class service!

I bought from WCW because they manufacture the windows, yes I had to spend £250 more than the cheapest quote but you get what you pay for. So happy with the look and fit, I would recommend this company without doubt and when I replace my front windows later in the year I will be using them once again.
