Amazing air con unit just right for our home. Keep it on lost of the day in the bedroom and then turn off before bed as it is noisy even in sleep mode but worth every penny right now. Email comms on delivery via DPD perfect!

Delivered ElectriQ "silent" efficiently. However, not in any shape or form silent and the venting hose is only designed for low sash windows. (This is the manufacturer's fault).
I also note the price has risen from £379 on the 27th May 2026 to £799 as of 11th July.
Very happy with my purchase from Aircondirect. Purchased a 10000 BTU cool/heat unit. The website was very clear with info/specs. The unit was delivered on time, driver called ahead. The unit works amazingly well in my living room, just in time for the heatwave. I’ll have to wait to see how the heating works. Highly recommend Aircondirect!

Faulty unit
Simply put, they sent me a "refurbished" unit that was faulty from the moment it was plugged in.
I was given the usual hoops to jump through and every step of the way I have had to chase up for updates after the supposed number of working days they need.
The last contact involved them supposedly contacting me to sort some sort of replacement, only for me to have to chase them up again and to be told I have to take a refund or leave them with an open order indefinitely, thereby leaving me with no money and no product, until they can source a replacement, I say indefinitely as they offer no window of when a replacement might be able to be attained.
I have no trust for this company as of right now. If I could give negative stars, I would.
I ordered a portable air-conditioning unit online on 28th June. It was listed as in stock with a delivery date of 8th July and a price of £974.93 including delivery. On 6th July I received an email changing the delivery to 9th July.
On the 8th I received an email from Aircon Direct "We like to keep you in the loop with important updates, so here's a note to say we've dispatched your order (xxxxx). It's due to be delivered tomorrow." And a tracking number for delivery by DX.
So, yesterday, 9th July I waited in all day, having rescheduled some other commitments. No delivery and no update for either Aircon or DX. Tracking showed "08/07/26 02:25 PM Scan at collection depot"
So today I telephoned Aircon Customer service when they opened at 8am. The helpful lady wasn't able to tell me where my unit was, or when it would be delivered. But she did promise that someone would contact me within 2 hours. No surprise, nobody phoned, so at 13.18 I phoned again to have another person tell me they would look in to it and phone me back.
Placed an order for an air conditioner on 29th of June, had my delivery date on 8th delayed twice and then had to call them for them to finally tell me that not only they don't have it available they don't even know when its going to become available. I was then suggested by the customer service team to place a new order for which I would have to wait 4 weeks to arrive(Summer is basically over by that point). Have cancelled my order and asked for a refund. Extremely disappointed. Do not sell something you don't have.
Unit was delivered on time and installation instructions where really easy to follow and the unit is now installed and commissioned , unit seams to be working well especially in this heat

Please before you buy think twice. I ordered an air con unit yesterday and paid close to £20 for express shipping. I should have trusted my better judgement and not let desperation get the better of me. The unit has arrived today with no plug. Absolutely disgusting service and they should be ashamed of themselves. Clearly taking advantage of people at their most vulnerable. I will be returning the unit and I will ensure to never buy from them again. This company is quite obviously scamming their customers. Take it from me, its better to be hot then hot and absolutely furious after being left out of pocket and no air con.
Our unit has stopped working after two and half weeks. The customer service has been woeful as we have been trying to arrange a replacement/refund since early this week and we are unable to receive any helpful response other than a request for more photos coming through every twelve hours. We are in the middle of another heatwave, I am $500 out of pocket with no aircon and no solution in sight.
Do better.

I fervently believe their website misleads. Nowhere does it say that the product I bought needed to be fitted by a professional yet when the product arrives, firstly I can’t lift it and secondly wouldn’t be able to fit it due to mobility issues and finally I would need to cut holes in my bedroom wall. The so called customer service dept refuse to allow a return so I’m stuck with something I can’t fit or use. They must be doing so badly as a company that they have to adopt this stance of no refunds, the revenue must be important to them. I thoroughly recommend not entertaining this company it will end in tears as they honestly could not give a damn about us as customers. Be aware they are shocking

This company caught my eye as being one of the few companies that could supply a portable air conditioner in the current heatwave.
A couple of days before delivery was due they contacted me and offered next day express delivery at no charge if I agreed - which I did.
The next day they contacted me to say there was a glitch and the delivery would be put back to the original date. Not happy, two days work lost for this delivery.
The courier company allocated for delivery seem to operate a 12 hour delivery window, it seems they expect you to sit around all day then they turn up when the see fit. I’m sure most other couriers have the decency to inform you of a 2-3 hour delivery window.
Not the sort of treatment I expected when paying £24.95 for the service.

Terrible people, purchased an air con unit from them not only was it delayed it also did not cool the room down as described. They refused to refund it.
I am amending my review,I had to show proof of a phone call that I'd been told to buy universal window kit even though the exact same one was included with the air conditioner as it was said it wouldn't fit my type of window,after several emails and a screen shot,they told me keep item no need to return and refunded me,so 1 star has become 3. Now so far my unit has shown no issues and I'm happy with the ell como. I will warn anyone that the phoenix number,check with your provider before calling as it's premium and the call cost me £37 shocking. I will have to buy an add on to be able to call them should there be any technical issues.
