I fervently believe their website misleads. Nowhere does it say that the product I bought needed to be fitted by a professional yet when the product arrives, firstly I can’t lift it and secondly wouldn’t be able to fit it due to mobility issues and finally I would need to cut holes in my bedroom wall. The so called customer service dept refuse to allow a return so I’m stuck with something I can’t fit or use. They must be doing so badly as a company that they have to adopt this stance of no refunds, the revenue must be important to them. I thoroughly recommend not entertaining this company it will end in tears as they honestly could not give a damn about us as customers. Be aware they are shocking

This company caught my eye as being one of the few companies that could supply a portable air conditioner in the current heatwave.
A couple of days before delivery was due they contacted me and offered next day express delivery at no charge if I agreed - which I did.
The next day they contacted me to say there was a glitch and the delivery would be put back to the original date. Not happy, two days work lost for this delivery.
The courier company allocated for delivery seem to operate a 12 hour delivery window, it seems they expect you to sit around all day then they turn up when the see fit. I’m sure most other couriers have the decency to inform you of a 2-3 hour delivery window.
Not the sort of treatment I expected when paying £24.95 for the service.
Would I recommend AirconDirect………..no!
Would I buy from AirconDirect again…….no!

Terrible people, purchased an air con unit from them not only was it delayed it also did not cool the room down as described. They refused to refund it.

I am amending my review,I had to show proof of a phone call that I'd been told to buy universal window kit even though the exact same one was included with the air conditioner as it was said it wouldn't fit my type of window,after several emails and a screen shot,they told me keep item no need to return and refunded me,so 1 star has become 3. Now so far my unit has shown no issues and I'm happy with the ell como. I will warn anyone that the phoenix number,check with your provider before calling as it's premium and the call cost me £37 shocking. I will have to buy an add on to be able to call them should there be any technical issues.

The aircon that was booked for delivery from *2 weeks ago*, is last minute pushed by *1 more week* due to supply issues. If you didn't have it in supply, why are you promising delivery dates and tricking customers (and also taking their payment)? I have a very old pet who is very disturbed by the heat, and I would have already got hold of another one if I knew my waiting time would at least be 3 weeks (and there is no guarantee that this is happening next week it looks like). Wrong promises, deceitful sales.

As a 'good will', they provide you with £10 (for a £814 product!) to be spent in store... Thanks but no thanks, why should I be tricked again?

Bit Excellent service except delivery. I bought an air conditioner for my doggies during the recent heatwave, and it has made a huge difference. They are much more comfortable and enjoying the cool air. The unit was easy to set up and works very well. Very happy with my purchase. Thank you! 👍🏻

Our portable aircon was delivered early after a text asking if I wanted it sooner and with the heatwave absolutely! It came a few days early, and since my room has been an icebox! It works perfectly and would recommend to anyone to get an aircon here!

Great service from the company but the item -Akai air cooler -hardly feeling like it’s sending cool air out . My normal fan is doing a better job . If you put water out the fridge in it is slightly better but for the price of the item it was very disappointing.

Ordering was simple and easy. Delivery was spot on with courier providing a 1 hour time slot which they stuck to. I purchased 2 7000btu units for our bedrooms (2 doubles) and they are brilliant. We have frenchies and they are loving it!

Slow, rubbish service- 2 orders placed and both late to arrive. Customer service is a waste of time and just fob you off. Would avoid this company and their other group companies

Pleased with what I have purchased. Wish there more R290 AC products available.......F-Gas fitters seem to running a cartel.

Great service and communication. Actually received it a day early.

The machine itself is incredible. Well built, very easy to use, and looks good too. For me, the only downfall is the exhaust tube is bulky, difficult to manoeuvre, comes undone from the unit bracket and is not long enough. A longer, more flexible and smaller bore tube would be better.

Product was described very well on their easy to navigate website. It was delivered promptly, in good condition and is doing exactly what we hoped it would.The cool mode delivers a lovely cool aircurrent, very welcome in this heatwave.

The whole process from ordering to receiving the aircon unit was straightforward. Delivery was quick and on time.

Pathetic customer service and a horrible scam are being run. Paid almost 1k for a portable air-con and extra for delivery on a specific date. The item was then unlisted, and no communication. I called to be told it's out of stock, no help. After complaining, the advisor gave me another date. I called again today to ensure everything is delivered, to be told they can't help. They stole my money and never delivered any products.
