My husband was stationary at a traffic lights when subject to a hit and run at 50 mph fleeing the police. His car was severely damaged. He was taken by the AA to Apollo. The team at the Basingstoke Centre were so kind and professional. They stayed late (three members) while he tried to contact his insurer and although not the preferred provider facilitated onward transfer. They restored our faith in humanity. If ever I needed body work on my car would have no hesitation In using and recommending them. Outstanding customer service.

I recently had my car resprayed at the Yeovil branch and I have to say all staff were brilliant and went the extra mile to provide an amazing service. All staff were friendly and made me feel welcome. The car is gleaming and I am very happy. Thank you all for your great customer service I would definitely recommend them for any body work repairs.

I took my car to the Yeovil branch of Apollo following an accident, I popped in to make an appointment and was greeted by friendly staff members who arranged a time for an estimate to suit me.
I arrived for the estimate appointment and again greeted in a friendly professional manner.
The estimator explained the process and what I could expect, Apollo dealt with the insurance company, arranged for the repair to be carried out on a date that suited me. I was kept informed at every stage and when I collected my car it was ready on time and it was immaculate.
All of the staff are professional, courteous and friendly. I would highly recommend this company to my friends and family.

WARNING TO EVERYONE ABOUT Apollo Motor Group THEY ARE THIEVING, ENGINE TAMPERING, CORRUPT, LYING CROOKS!

Long story short…

Lisa’s car was hit in a corner of Sainsbury’s car park at the end of August (minor damage to bumper & wing) so it was picked up by Covea’s approved garage Apollo Motor Group of Portsmouth & taken to their Basingstoke branch.

Covea decided to write it off despite the car being mechanically sound when Apollo picked it up from us.

Apollo had the car for 4 or 5 weeks but no-one contacted me to say it was a write off until I rang them. I decided to get the car repaired from an independent bodyshop recommended by a friend who owns his own insurance brokerage rather than accept their insulting salvage amount.

The bodyshop alerted me to a few things when I picked it up a few days later including the coolant container & lid being damaged so oil was mixing with the coolant.

On the way home I broke down on the M4 & had to be rescued by the AA. The bodyshop said that the car had been tampered with because oil was mixing with the coolant & sprayed all over the engine. Only the bumper was damaged; now the car’s engine is ruined beyond repair.

Covea & Apollo deny any liability but they are lying! The bodyshop is convinced Covea sabotaged the car & took parts for other vehicles which happens a lot apparently on ‘write-off’s; they also stole the spare wheel, jack & tow device from the boot but again deny that!

The bodyshop is convinced they removed parts knowing they were going to write it off which is very concerning; it was also filthy when it was returned.

I HAVE REPORTED THE THEFT TO THE POLICE and now will pursue them thru’ the Financial Ombudsman.

The car was fully serviced & MOT’d recently so there was nothing wrong with it mechanically; but when I picked it up & drove it back it seized up & the damage is terminal…the engine has been tampered with & parts taken from it…the missing wheel & jack proves this.

Something very suspicious has happened since I decide not to accept the salvage offer.

Finally my broker Grove and Dean have been so unhelpful too.

DO NOT INSURE ANYTHING WITH @CoveaInsurancePlc & certainly do not use Apollo for any repairs! Corrupt liars!

Don’t touch this company. Apollo, Basingstoke have had my car for 5 months. They caused additional damage and ongoing stress, distress and anxiety. It was delivered to them in showroom condition. The first time I tried to collect it, it was filthy with industrial grime inside, the silver trim was scratched and they had replaced the badge on the boot with a badge that was for a different car. Everything went wrong when the manager Andy moved to the Portsmouth branch.

Difficult people to deal with from the outset. Booking in process is over complicated and awkward at best. Front of house staff are blunt and lack people skills. Major issues with repairs as carried out, parts replaced that were not needed,vehicle paint work was full of debris and silicone - tried to fob me off by saying it was stone chips on original panel work. Car was returned in a dirty state. Workshop manager argued with me until he worked out I knew what I was talking about. On closer inspection of vehicle I found many more issues with the repair work. Instructed an independent assessor on the back of Aviva Insurance, who agreed that the work was of a general poor standard and totally unacceptable. I refused to take the car back to Apollo as they couldn't get it right first time round I was not going to let the Amateur Outfit touch it again. Since the repair I have had issues with the headlamps misting up in the rain....stripped the vehicle down today, to find bolts missing holding bumper and headlamps in, looms not clipped back in the correct locations, spire clips missing - just rubbish workmanship. And the fault with the headlamps has been caused by the incorrect length blots being used in one of the mounting points - which has led to the top of the headlamp being cracked and holed allowing the ingress of water!!
Literally this is Amateur Hour Mechanics at its best.
The Motor trade is in a hell of a mess due to the industry not recognising skilled men and paying a skilled rate. Never has it been more apparent that you pay peanuts you get monkeys.

On a plus note, the solid white paint match was good, and someone had a good go at mopping the entire car to match.

My Volvo needed bodywork repairs to side and rear bumper following a non-fault car parking accident. My insurance company used Apollo Motor Group in Yeovil for the repair work. The speed of the repair, all done within four working days, coupled with the excellent customer service from the centre manager and his team was absolutely first class - as was the repair work undertaken - absolutely fantastic work on my car. Faultless. You would never know that my car had accident damage. It’s now a good as new after the repair work. The paint match is fantastic. Just perfect. Quality, and pride in the workmanship - superb - outstanding, even. When I collected my car, they had even cleaned it inside and out - a really nice touch and very customer focussed. Very pleasing to see my car again, gleamingly clean and in first class condition following the brilliant repair job undertaken by Apollo Motor Group, Yeovil. I will certainly use them again, without a shadow of doubt. I would highly recommend them, and the Yeovil branch in particular, if you want first class service and first class motor bodywork repairs. One of the best I have come across. I’m so pleased that my insurance company put this work their way - I couldn’t have asked for any better. APOLLO MOTOR GROUP IN SWINDON, after a recent car accident the back bumper of my vehicle needed replacement, I could have insisted that my insurance company would allow me to go directly to a Mercedes dealership workshop for repair, however on this occasion I accepted their guidance to take my car to their approved repair centre, the Apollo Motor Group in Swindon. The staff was incredibly helpful, professional and kept me informed regularly throughout the process. The car was repaired to perfection within just three days and totally cleaned inside and out, really great customer service and straight forward well run company. A big thank you to Mandy and the team for your kind assistance!

Kept my car for an extensive amount of time. Several requests for information blamed other people and made a story up about a staff member leaving and closing the case. Car came back covered in bird poo, which they didn't even bother to clean off. Wouldn't recommend.
