Balfe's Bikes - Reigate Reviews 

I recently bought a Trek Marlin 8 from Balfe's Bikes in Reigate. Initially I paid a deposit for a Trek FX 2 Hybrid but on reflection and more research decided by the battery was too small for my needs. After speaking to Simon and Matt there was no issue swapping for the Marlin. The Induction for the bike was thorough, talked through the 'Flow' app and filled and pumped the tyres with the crystals. Would recommend their service and willingness to go the extra mile!

Bought a £5500 specialized Ebike through the Reigate store and was treated terribly. I asked on purchase if I can have tokens added and a swap for a axs mech which would take 30 mins. They said yes. Then bought the bike and went back on there word and it wasn’t until I threaten to cancel my order they agreed. Went into store to collect my new bike and they had gone back on there word again and made me feel very uncomfortable, also never set up the bike for me like they said and never did any of the tokens either. Also from the start I said the sram brakes need a bleed out the box as my experience and my mechanics situations and professionals all over the Mtb world know they have a bad bleed out the box. They told me it goes through all these checks and it will be fine. I traveled 2 hour round trip to take it home for the first 10 mins of the ride for both brakes too pull back to the bar. Very frustrating after I told them this exact thing would happen

Price reflected the labour involved and good advice re the gears.

Had a tricky problem with disc caliper alignment that the original bike assembler had left unsorted. A rebleed on one brake and fair amount of tweaking on other has avoided having to reface the frame.

Sorted now with no rubbing. Will get Balfe's to build next time!

Original product was faulty and has been returned to Reigate branch who have ordered a replacement. They were very helpful.

Great service , kept me fully in the loop on delivery timings for the parts when ordered and when they were doing the repair work , kept in touch on the work and explained any additional work required prior to starting onece I had a greed . 100% satisfied !!!

Very helpful and efficient, although not very pro-active in helping me select a new kind of bike for my use. A bit more advice may have been useful although I am happy with my purchase.
Swift to get the bike I chose in to the store, assemble it and prep it for me.

I booked my bike for a standard service. Additionally I requested that the tubeless tires have the sealant replaced and asked them to look at the power meter (fitted as standard on the bike, a brand that is supplied by the shop) as it was no longer working. On the plus side, I received a call from the workshop to say the bike was in such good condition it didn't require a full service, only a tune up. I thought this very honest and fair. On the debit side, I was told they didn't know much about power meters and they couldn't help with that. I was disappointed by that response.
