I recently received my order for Verbena Bonariensis, the plants were of excellent quality, a good size and carefully packed. I would certainly recommend them, very pleased.
I placed an order on 16th April advised despatch date of 17th April this was amended to 21st April
Despite 2 emails which weren’t responded to , part of the order was despatched on 12th May .
God knows when other part will come.
But quick to take your Money. It they were honest I’d have ordered from another supplier.
Been using Beekeeping for plant delivery and they have all been recieved in great condition.
The despatch notice for my fondant has a sentence which reads “for growing instructions ....”
This undermines confidence that my order has not been confused with Sutton’s who apparently use the same warehouse.
I also feel that tracking order with carrier is now almost the norm for deliveries. I have learnt that the fondant is likely to be transported via Royal Mail SECOND class which is hardly the speediest me this, and since no delivery on a Sunday and it’s now Saturday, we are talking of Monday which is stretching the 3-5 days delivery statement. Perhaps the option to pay more for quicker despatch would be useful for a fondant or something else which is urgent.
My phone query on Saturday afternoon 13.50 was handled competently and politely, although he had no record of the order number.
Equipment and service is very good, let down by poor choice of delivery company. Most companies now give advance notice of delivery, two hour slots and often live tracking. I arrived home to find a card unexpectedly pushed through the door to say my DX delivery driver had missed me and I would have to call to rearrange. I phoned the number on the card, to receive a recorded message that the number had changed. When I got through, I was told that I could rearrange for the next day, but would have to call in the morning to get an expected time. I called but after being put on hold for some time was told they couldn't contact the driver and would have to call me back. I'm now wasting my day waiting for the delivery. I'd love to buy more stuff, but won't be doing while this delivery company is used.
I was also disappointed with this company. Had to make a phonecall to chase delivery of some brood foundation, over the summer. "Ryan" was unfriendly, unhelpful and did not call back as he said he would.
Company also did not respond to a subsequent email followup to this call, asking for a refund and cancellation of the order.
Goods arrived 3 days later (indicating to me that they were not even despatched at the time I requested a refund).
I did not return for a refund because I would have had to pay return postage and I wasn't even confident that the company would refund me.
Product was fine. Service was poor.
Received 2 national poly hives delivered today from NBS and they turned out to be as I had hoped a top quality brand, also well packed and with the frames and foundation included.
Nothing was missing or damaged during transit which was a nice surprise after recent experiences, so no problem with delivery nor with customer service.
The lower price was a factor but the hive brand the decider, in conclusion I am happy with this company and shall use them again.
I was disappointed in this company. I placed an order, which I had to make two phone calls to make as the first order didn't arrive.
The second order arrived in two batches and took a long time to come, and part was missing. In total I have made five phone calls and written one letter to get the missing parts refunded, but have received no response. I have lost faith in their ability to delivery the goods.
Awful experience. Out of the large order, items were missing broken and used. Took weeks to resolve and ended up starting a card charge back before they finally refunded me, Was expected to pay for return of faulty goods and would only refund if I provided proof of postage. Customer services does not exist on the phone number shown on website - they have to send a message and you then wait 2 days each time for a return call. All emails were unanswered, Discount code provided by Gardeners World Mag did not work either.
I have shopped at National bee supplies (NBS) for a few years now but a recent positive experience made me write this review. At short notice, I had a 2 day trip to my fathers place to tend his bees and decided to surprise him with a new WBC style hive. I ordered the hive before leaving.
When I got there I realised I had to split the hive into 2 colonies but had no equipment to do the job, so I called NBS to amend the order with everything needed to split them and take half the colony with me in a travel box.
The folks at NBS not only did an amazing job on the WBC hive - which is an object of beauty in it's own right with or without bees - but they took it upon themselves to go above and beyond the norm to ensure the everything was delivered on time.
The products are of OUTSTANDING quality - yes you can find cheaper, but I defy you to find BETTER - that is quality & value for money. The service I received was exceptional and the staff in person and over the phone are all very friendly.
Top marks all round.
