After having very bad service through Emma on line it was nice to go into a store and get great customer service. Store was clean and welcoming, the staff were not too on top of you when you first go in and are more than happy to help when you do need them

Overall I received good service. However there was one outstanding negative which made me feel quite uncomfortable and not very valued as a customer.

Without asking about my preferences first, the assistant just went ahead costing up prices with the 0% finance. Fine, it was good to hear all the options. However he calculated costs based on a 20% deposit without even asking me what deposit I was happy with. It was assumed that 20% was reasonable and manageable. I explained that I had looked at the finance options online before coming to the store, and needed to go with a 0% deposit option, which meant that I couldn't get the 0% finance option and would pay around 9% for the privilege. This was absolutely fine, as I had already costed this and felt happy with that decision. However the assistant made me feel very uncomfortable when he said 'you're the first person I've ever had to not go with the 0% finance option'. It made me feel embarrassed, that because of my financial situation I couldn't afford to put any deposit down. My finance agreement went through absolutely fine, showing that I won't have any trouble with the repayments etc. But that comment really tainted my otherwise good experience. I would have loved to go with the 0% finance option, but I'm currently pregnant and have a lot of items to buy for the baby, so I just don't have the money to put any deposit down. The whole reason I'm buying a new bed is so I have extra storage room underneath for baby clothes etc. So, to be made to feel embarrassed about my financial situation wasn't a nice feeling, and would unfortunately make me think twice before returning as a customer in the future, or recommending your store to family and friends.

The shop was quiet being a Monday and the sales assistant didn’t pounce on us which was great. She asked after a while if needed help and at the time we didn’t so she politely left us alone. When we needed help we found her and she was very helpful and knowledgeable about the bed that we eventually purchased. Whole thing was very easy she explained the process to expect and we didn’t need to ask a thing as she covered everything. Great service would use again.

The woman who helped us out (Jo) was very helpful and easy to talk to, she made us feel very at ease and relaxed through the entire process. No hard sale or anything just listened to what we wanted and helped us get it all sorted

Friendly staff not over bearing or pushy let you look try out the beds if anything you needed all you had to do was ask😀 very knowledgeable on what they were selling

Leah was great, she asked if we needed help without being pushy (unlike some of the sales associates in competitor stores) and when we did need her assistance she was clear and informed. Loved the variety in store and again, Leah made the whole experience smooth.

We unfortunately had an uncomfortable experience at the Swindon store. We found the shop assistant to be unfriendly and as she showed us each mattress it seemed as if she was in a rush. She then left us to help a colleague at the till instead.

We had a great service from the staff who helped us with various questions.

Jo was really friendly and approachable at the Swindon store, she knew her products and recommended a mattress that we bought along with a double bed. Jo is a great ambassador for Bensons and I hope she is given the recognition she so deserves. Thank you Jo, you helped me and my teenager find the perfect bed.

Every aspect was painless from ordering to mattress arriving. Delivery guys we're great. Offered to take upstairs to the room. Fantastically polite and informative. Both are a brilliant representation of the company.

The store manager is really helpful and knowledgeable. He can answer all my questions in a very politely manner.

Jo was very helpful, friendly and in no way pushy. She let us take our time testing the mattresses and was very informative when placing our order.

We've just bought a mattress from the Swindon branch of Bensons for Beds and it's just been delivered. From start to finish, really good service. When entering the store you didn't get pounced on you had time to look around and then a lovely lady Jo came over to ask if we needed any help! She suggested a few mattresses once she'd asked us a few questions of what we thought we wanted. She was very natural, friendly not pushy! She left us again to lie on a few of her suggestions then came back when we had made our decision. The mattresses themselves seemed a better quality and more reasonable than one of the other bed shops in the same retail park ( of which there were 4 different bed shops! This was the 2nd one and we were so pleased with the quality, price and the customer service that we felt we didnt need to go elsewhere.) Transaction was efficient and friendly. Then correspondence after was regular by text and email. Delivery was when they said it would be with a 20 min phone call before. Friendly and efficient delivery guys. Thankyou Bensons can't wait for my night sleep tonight!
