Not looking to buy a bed that day but ............
We weren't sure what we were looking for except that it was an Ottoman bed as we were fed up having storage we couldn't access. The salesman (James I think his name was) showed us a couple of different options and styles to see what we liked. When we had narrowed that down, he showed us a few frames that weren't overly expensive, which was good, as usually they show you the expensive ones first. Once we had that narrowed, we then asked about mattresses and, again, he asked questions about how we slept, what we did and didn't like and directed us to Slumberland as a make. Again, he didn't try to show us the really expensive mattresses as he was guided by our answers but, to me, this is what a salesman should do. The result of our visit was that instead of going to look for a bed, we ordered both the bed frame and the mattress, have organised delivery and removal of the old one and spent less than we thought we were going to. Overall, it was a great experience and there was no pushy sales pitch.

From first choosing my new bed
From first choosing my new bed and mattress, I would highly recommend Bensons for beds. I was kept fully updated with delivery times and even chose the date. I did have to extend the delivery date, but that was so easy and they were so obliging.

I explained I didn’t want memory foam /orthopaedic mattress, I’ve had both hips replaced/ pelvic reconstruction and spine fusion procedures. George B recommended 150 Matt Response Latex UltimCR, I tried both display models, I was not rushed and he was very helpful with all questions. Very satisfied.

Brilliant all round - they were patient whilst I was choosing, they kept me updated on the delivery and the delivery itself was a pleasant experience all round. I can’t speak for all Bensons but the staff at Torquay are exceptional!

Bed wouldn't fit in when delivered so…
Bed wouldn't fit in when delivered so had to return limited options as to what was available as a replacement the only one available was an additional £350 I couldn't get a refund as I would have been charged 20% of the initial cost which is poor so I have to have a bed no choice of headboards additional £350 and now I have been told I have to wait 3 months for delivery, very annoying
I have just received a response from Bensons apologising for the terrible service we have received they thanked me for my review nothing else I would genuinely advise do not use this company when your looking to purchase a new bed no support or customer care what so ever.

The shop staff where very helpful with no pressure to purchase. Waiting for delivery, I was given just the right amount off information about Benson's. The day of delivery. The tracking was very helpful to see where the lorry was located. The delivery people where very helpful, polite and tidy.

Great bed frame, happy with whole service.
George and Jake in the Torquay store were really helpful and friendly. I’m very pleased with the bed frame - the price is reasonable for the quality - I was relieved it was easy to put together. I was very pleased it was delivered 1 week after ordering. Smooth process from start to finish - just as anyone would hope!
