Swimming at Waddon Leisure Centre
I'm delighted with my experience of Swimming at Waddon, especially since 'Better' have taken over.
Everything is well organised. Swiimers are encouraged to remove footwear before entering the pool area which helps to keep the floor clean. The double lanes (at least in the mornings) allow for everyone to have a good session, regardless of their level of fitness. There are floats, paddles and pull buoys available on the poolside to use to enhance your workout. Showers on the poolside, as well as in private cubicles, are nice and hot. Staff are always helpful and polite.
So many positives! Oh, and the membership is very reasonable, and well worth the monthly outlay.

Extremely disappointed with the "teaching" style ( Swimbies under 2)
My daughter’s swimming lessons have been a complete joke. The instructor provides zero demonstrations and no physical input or correction in the water. Instead, they just stand on the side shouting verbal instructions. This isn’t how children learn to swim effectively. Very disappointed with the lack of effort and engagement.

A brilliant first year
As it has been a year since I've joined, I thought it was time that I finally write a review of Waddon Leisure Centre.
From the very first time you walk in you're made to feel welcome, with the loveliest reception staff - especially Jack and Vanessa who go out of their way to help, no matter what query or concern you may have.
The instructors have been amazing too - thanks has to go to Abbie, Emma, Gail and Michelle, who have introduced me to power pump and kept me coming with back as I enjoy their classes so much.
I have to give a shout out to Max as I love his sessions which he delivers in a fun but challenging way - definitely a highlight of the week!
So thank you everyone for a great first year.

About a week ago I wanted to book a basketball lesson for my son but I was unsure about one of the extra costs added on at checkout so it put me off.
I called customer service today and spoke with Hansley. He was polite, informative and above all very patient - as it took me a while to remember what the extra cost was for, all I could remember was the total amount. Hansley was on to it like a flash explained it, and proceed to tell me more about the lessons and how they are run. Needless to say I've signed up my son. Thanks Hansley you were brilliant, I hope this reaches you (and your managers)

It would be better if the gym was the size of the two sport halls and if there was a spa in the setting.

My daughter has scoliosis and no consideration was given by the teacher for pain and the type of stroke performed during the lesson. Just told to get on with it.

Adult pool review.
Good reception staff especially Vanessa who competently and calmly helped me through the online joining and booking system on several occasions. Very affordable Swimming For Health for older clients.
Extremely helpful and respectful poolside staff providing physical assistance especially Connor today. Clean with limitations of inevitable limescale accumulation in this hard water area. Therefore poolside staff are limited in what they can achieve without more frequent commercial limescale removal and deep clean of all surfaces and wet/dry interchange mats. Otherwise I would score 4.5 - 5 speaking for pool facilities only last 8 months since joining.
