The swim instructors were very attentive and helped my son when he was very nervous. He became more confident as the lesson went on. They were patient and gave very good feedback to my son.

Aqua aerobics class
Went to an aqua aerobics class on Thurs 8th Feb and I was very disappointed by the unwelcoming instructor. She was unapproachable and as a new member I was not expecting to have to shout my medical condition across the pool. It would have nice to have a quick chat with new members before the class started.
On a posittive note the class itself was great and I did enjoy the actual workout.

I was misled that my membership for…
I was misled that my membership for Swim doctor at Waddon would cover swimming for practice whenever (subject to space). I have queried this by phone and was informed it would be resolved to align with what I was told and the manager would be in touch. 4 days later, I haven’t heard and still unresolved. Very poor customer service. Very difficult to communicate as can only go through central phone line.

Upon checking our system and the membership type you have purchased, you have a swimming lessons membership which you would attend each Saturday at 12noon. You would not be required to book this session in each week as you are already booked onto this course for the same day and time each week. So if you attend the centre each Saturday for your lessons, you will be able to attend this class.

Great organisation from the staff, swim teachers paid attention to the fact our son was complete beginner and made him feel very comfortable, he is very very happy to be returning to the swim class.

App is easy to use to book and it’s great value to be able to have a membership for just the school holidays so we can swim as often as we like.
Toilets could always be cleaner!

Great that you have finally replaced the old spin bikes , however the air con in the spin studio is rubbish.
Cleanliness in the toilets is shocking. Need cleaning.

This would have been a much higher score had I not received a penalty charge email for a fitness session I attended but was later notified I hadn’t attended and received a £3 fine.
Whilst I appreciate you take this data on customers scanning in using their membership card which in hindsight I get is fairly obvious , it was never fully explained at signup this process is imperative otherwise you may receive a penalty fine. On arrival a member of staff had opened the barrier for me thinking he had recognised me from showing me around the premises prior to signing up a few days prior. Clearly I wish he hadn’t done that and just let me scan in as I was about to do phone in hand. Perhaps this is a simple training issue that can be simply fixed.
Other than that I’m impressed by the facilities and the fitness training was encouraging and professional.

I am really sorry to hear that you received a penalty fee for an activity you attended at the centre. The member of staff that allowed you access without scanning should have manually marked you as attended so you did not receive a penalty fee or allowed you to scan through the gates using your membership card via the App. I apologise this was not done and I will pass on this feedback to the centre manager so the staff can be reminded to allow the customers to scan through the gates unless they have forgotten their card. If this is the case the staff still need to mark each customer as attended.
