very knowledgeable and thorough.
I had sudden hearing loss and to be thorough i visited and had 5 hearing tests. Boots was most thorough and only one what an insulated noise chamber to better remove external none test noises. With one audiologist I could hear phones and conversations outside. another had someone typing so hard to tell what i was supposed to hear and what i wasn’t.

Less than ideal circumstances

I think audiologists should speak English clearly. My tests were conducted against background noise from the reception area next door so it was very hard to concentrate. The audiologist’s room should be soundproofed. I also think the audiologist should recommend a type of hearing aid that suits one’s needs, rather than leaving one to choose from a leaflet.

I was informed by staff that Boots…

I was informed by staff that Boots opticians does not accept NHS prescriptions because it takes too long to claim the cost back. This was surprising and concerning particularly as the prescriptions was for a child. I have already contacted customer service but have not yet received a clear response to my concern. Could you please clarify is it Boots opticians policy to refuse NHS prescriptions for children. I would appreciate a clear answer to this question, as it directly affects access to essential eye care for my child.

From start to finish this was…

From start to finish this was brilliant.
I had the first test then 2 days later the main test & Kamran was a really great person who made me feel at ease & fitted me with my new hearing aids, it couldn’t have been any better.

Massive increase in repair costs

Boots hearing aids are very expensive & I would definitely try another company when I need to replace my hearing aids. They don’t tell you when you buy them that after your guarantee period is over the repair costs are very expensive. Whatever the problem it cost £99 for repairs.
Today the price increased to £149. A 50% increase is just not fair. They cost less than this to make. My hearing aids have been repaired 5 times & I am extremely careful with them.
