We engaged dale and daughter to move us all was well to the day when we were packed up ready to go saying they could not move us and were sending another company it went down hill fast
They weren't aware they were taking thing apart or putting them back together the leader of the team was moaning about how much we had and would not fit in to there 2 lutons not even a proper removal van
We had to pay before our stuff was unloaded we had broken tv cost 1/2as much as removal cost to replace they could not get unloaded and out the place quick enough
We contacted dale and daughter for response as they were who we engaged for the move and no response we are well out of pocket with broken stuff and if moving house wasn't stressful enough we are still suffering from the experience

Choose this firm based on positive reviews. We initially dealt with Dave who was very patient and accommodating as we had to change completion dates on several occasions. 4 guys who turned up on the day were great. Took large furniture apart for us and put back together at the new home. The whole move took 5 1/2 hours from start to finish including travel time of 30 minutes. We engaged the firm at the beginning of March to move the contents of our 4 bedroomed family house to a 2 bedroomed bungalow, the first time we had moved in 41 years. The service was superb. We had packers to prepare the day before, a team of 4, and 6 men on the day, all of them cheerful, 'can do', efficient and very professional. John seemed to be team leader and was positive and encouraging throughout what was a very stressful transition for us, and the calm, competent approach from them all was so helpful. Dave kept a watchful eye on the process throughout the long day, monitoring and bringing in more resources as and when needed. Nothing was too much trouble, and the items that needed dismantling were undertaken proficiently and reassembled at the other end. We cannot recommend this company highly enough - would definitely hire them again if we ever have cause to move from our new home.

I have now used this company for two house moves and found them to be brilliant. The removals team are polite and helpful with a lot of stress removed from the moving process. They will not only move your items across with great care and respect, but will also take apart larger items like beds and wardrobes with re-assembly completed too.

The supplies needed for moving such as boxes, bubble wrap and tape are also provided in abundance with extra available if needed too.

We met with Brian in late 2025 for a quote and we decided to go with Dave and his team after a couple of other quotes. These were the only people who actually came out to quote. We were offered packaging materials and advice and it took some time to finally complete but Dave was brilliant - he had told me several times that they would be the stress free part of our move - they certainly were! We finally booked for completion, Dave had the patience of a saint, and the guys turned up and worked non-stop to move us from Birmingham to Wales. It was a long day but they moved everything with just minor marking - mainly down to our packing. It rained for most of the day but these 5 chaps were very good at not making a mess. I would recommend Brian Dale & Daughter to anyone who values quality service and a great team of guys who remained cheerful throughout.

We made a very big move from Birmingham to Glasgow and were met with care, professionalism and good humour. Dave came round and gave excellent advice for our two step move. I was particularly impressed with the time and patience that the team gave us. That includes the movers negotiating the unique tenement stairs typical of Glasgow with heavy furniture. We recently moved house 30/01/2026
Dave and the team were so helpful, they made what could of been a really stressful day into a manageable one, even though we got our keys late , and there was a lot of heavy garden stuff to lift, the team remained happy and courteous even the the downpour of rain didn’t dampen their spirits! We also had to change our original move date at the last minute as our buyer pulled out !!!
But Dave managed to fit us in again , All boxes, tape, bubble wrap and labels were provided in the price of the move. Thanks so much Dave and the team for a professional and friendly service !!

Fabulous service from start to finish from Dave and the team. Prompt visit round to give us a detailed quote along with answering any questions we might have. Kept us in the loop on what they needed to know about our move including supplying us with everything we might need to pack ourselves. On the day of the move the team were professional, courteous and efficient letting us know everything they were going to do and why. On what was an already stressful day, knowing our belonging were being transferred safely was a massive weight off our minds! Would thoroughly recommend.

After a bad experience on our last move we were determined to find a company that would properly assess our needs, but found Brian Dale and Daughter to be the only local company prepared to come and do a site visit. From start to finish they ticked all the boxes. Their guide to moving was sensible and helpful. The day before the move they packed our belongings with speed and great care. On the day itself they were efficient and good natured even when a door needed to be removed to get something out. To top it all off, they not only got a heavy statue to the spot in the new garden we’d picked for it, they found a spade and dug a hole to set it up for us. Top marks all round.

Brian Dale & Daughter moved our neighbours from Sutton Coldfield to Aberdovey and did a great job. We decided to use them too & weren't disappointed!

They supplied all of the packing materials & delivered extra boxes & packing paper very quickly when we asked them. On move day the team were cheerful and efficient. Nothing was damaged, all in all a good experience.

Follow up after our move was good, our empty cardboard boxes were promptly collected.

We will certainly be recommending this company to people we know who need to move house!

Initially was estimated between £500-600 on the phone for my 3 bedroom end terrace property. After visit the quote was £950 which was a lot higher than expected however I do have a lot of items if not any cupboards and just two beds that were to be dismantled. This should give you an idea of price.

Dave was my main contact. He has good wit and will deliver what he promises. Boxes provided will be cardboard that you have to build with tape provided. Bubble wrap is only the small bubble type but you can ask for more if needed at no additional cost.

They do have insurance if no real T&Cs. No terms gives you a much more flexible and friendlier service if less protection if things go wrong. However the company really wants to make sure things go right for you rather than just take your money.

On the move day a subcontracted van from another firm turned up but he was equally friendly and helpful. I felt that sufficient care was taken with the items. Minor marks or knocks can be expected but nothing of real concern.

I wouldn't call the service expensive or cheap but my quote on the survey day was notably more than expected. Either way they come confidently recommended.

We recently moved house. We were moving from South Yardley, Birmingham to Kessingland, Suffolk. This company were brilliant with the process. To move house is very stressful, but Dave and his team were exceptional. They helped us brilliantly. My wife and I would highly recommend to use this company if you are thinking of moving. We moved 180 miles away, and it was no problem. So, if you are moving not so far, it will be a breeze with these guys.

First class service. Arranged removal at short notice and had good meeting and quoted a very reasonable price. On the day arrived early and did a tour of house and 3 removal men worked quickly and efficiently. Lucky got keys early for new home and we were all done by 2.30pm. They moved everything with care and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

The lads 5 of them came on time.
They were so hard working anything you wanted them to do they did.
They unassembled our 2 beds and reassembled them at our new house.
They even gathered all our garden furnishings and brought them.
All our 4 bed were packed up in super quick time and on to our new house.
Every item was unloaded super quick and safely.
We cannot recommend these guys enough and the way they worked so sufficient on a very hot day.

We would highly recommend Dale & Daughters to anyone about to move home. They provided an excellent service and were reasonably priced with no upfront costs.

All the team were extremely helpful throughout our move, with nothing being too much trouble.
If ever we were seen trying to move something ourselves, there was a guy offering to take it off us.

Very competitively priced and there is plenty of flex if you need it. Brian did an on-the-spot quotation that proved bang-on in terms of space required for all of our stuff. Dave sorted boxes and materials for us very efficiently and the team on the day were friendly and fast with loading and unloading. The team on the day took all the stress out of moving day. Money well spent!

David came round and gave me a price and terms on there and then. Though out the packing stage issued me boxes, tape and protection. Brilliant home moving service – friendly, professional, and made the whole day run smoothly. The lads on the ground were especially welcoming and approachable. Couldn’t have asked for better support!the lads really couldn’t have done enough for us!!!
