I purchased flight tickets through BudgetAir (Booking reference: BAU-9415445), but my flight (QR901 – Perth to Doha on March 5, 2026) was cancelled due to the war situation.
I contacted BudgetAir on March 4 within the required timeframe to request a refund. It has now been over one month, and I have received no proper response and no refund.
Qatar Airways confirmed that the refund must be processed by BudgetAir, as they are the travel agent. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, they have completely ignored my request.
This is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. I am now forced to escalate the issue through consumer protection authorities.
I strongly advise others to be very careful when booking through BudgetAir.

The absolute worst site to book with! Spirit cancelled the entire flight and refunded my money to 2 totally different debit cards that I did not use! Budget airline is now telling me that it’s gonna take 8 to 10 weeks to get my refund which is ridiculous when and where does it take that long to get a refund?? RUN far away from this company!!!!

What a terrible and unethical company!! I had requested a cancelation of the ticket because my flight from India to NYC was via Abu Dhabi and because of the war, the flights to Abu Dhabi wasn't flying. The company canceled the booking, and now when it is time refund the money, they claim that they can't find any cancelation! This despite the fact that I have an email from them letting me know about cancelation and refund amount! I'll warn everyone to never do any business with this unethical company!

I had a very disappointing experience with BudgetAir. My flight was cancelled just one day before the scheduled departure, which caused significant stress and disruption to my plans. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of support from their side — no alternative flight options were offered, leaving me to figure everything out on my own at the last minute.
Additionally, the refund process was extremely slow and frustrating. It took more than 10 days to receive my money back, with very little communication or updates during that time.
Overall, this experience has been highly inconvenient and unreliable. I would not recommend BudgetAir based on how poorly this situation was handled.

BudgetAir.com is one of the worst booking platforms I’ve ever dealt with. Their practices feel deceptive, and the entire process seems designed to confuse customers and avoid responsibility. Getting help is nearly impossible, and they do not stand behind their service.

I had a very disappointing experience with BudgetAir. I booked a return ticket from Dar es Salaam to Pemba, but due to force majeure circumstances, I was unable to leave Dubai and missed my outbound flight.
When I tried to change the date, the cost was even higher than booking a completely new ticket, so I ended up purchasing a new one-way ticket from Dar es Salaam to Pemba, assuming my original return flight would still be valid.
However, when I arrived at the airport for my return flight from Pemba to Dar es Salaam, I was informed that the entire booking had been cancelled. This was never clearly communicated to me.
As a result, I ended up paying significantly more than expected, essentially double, and received no meaningful support or assistance from BudgetAir throughout the process.
Overall, very poor customer service and lack of transparency. I would not recommend booking through them.

The website betrayed me. 25 kg of luggage was mentioned, but after booking, I noticed each flight have separate luggage allowance.

i was flying BCN - IST with Turkish and IST - BAH - BLR with Gulf Air booked on Budgetair BIN-22342465.
Now Gulf Air cancelled the flights IST - BAH and BAH - BLR. BudgetAir (the website where i had booked the ticket) cancelled the entire trip including the turkish flight from BCN - IST without consulting me or taking my permission.
I did not get a refund for the BCN - IST flight with Turkish since that leg was non-refundable ticket. Budgetair should pay that money because they cancelled it on their own with Turkish without asking me. I had to again rebook that flight by paying again.
When my flight was cancelled by the airline, budget air were inept at arranging alternative flights, suggesting routes in business class I wasn't eligible for, and suggesting connecting flights leaving before I'd arrive at the airport, and even asking that I find flights myself. It was a long, drawn out process with multiple agents to get a refund started, and a confusing, incremental amount being refunded at a time. I eventually got a full refund but it should not be that difficult to get alternative flights nor a refund. This was not caused by the on going war in the Middle East, just airline rescheduling they couldn't handle well.
Really poor experience so far. Does no one regulate these clowns? When my airline changed flights so that connection was prevented, I contacted them and was asked so? Then had to convince them that 40 minutes connection time at Delhi wasn’t feasible. Now struggling to get them to help with getting me onto the same flight as my elderly father. Horrible experience with horrible company. AVOID
Update to this- the agent after several hours agreed to change my flight. I asked if it was definitely done, they confirmed. Then haven’t done it. In the meantime my father has changed his flight and I’m not on it. Typically they are uncontactable
