About Canadian Appliance Source - Victoria
Written by the company
Canadian Appliance Source, founded in 2008, has developed into a forerunner of modern appliance retail. Our model is unique in that our focus has always been on providing our customers with the personalized, thoughtful help and advice of an appliance specialist. Whether online or in-store, CAS customers receive knowledgeable advice, expert service, and quality appliances at exceptional prices. Our goal is to leave each customer with the certainty they made the right choice buying from us.
Now with more than 40 locations, our mission has grown to be the largest national appliance retailer in Canada. However, we will be a coast-to-coast retailer with a difference: we will still offer each customer that same personalized advice and unique in-store experience. We will do this by maintaining the exemplary level of training each sales associate receives; we will do this by ensuring every member of the CAS team shares our values of respect, responsibility, and commitment to customer satisfaction. We will do this by empowering everyone in our company to provide our customers with the expertise they deserve. CAS has always stood apart from the competition, and as we grow, we will continue to do so. We now have the resources, the ability, and most importantly, the drive to be the best appliance retailer in Canada.
Although we have grown in size, we have never lost our focus on creating our unique, customer-centric, in-store experience. Each CAS store has a boutique feel, features streamlined, modern displays, and customers are serviced by personable, knowledgeable staff. We pay attention to the details to make the shopping experience as pleasant as possible.

Farman the salesmen was the very thing I was shopping for. He worked hard for the sale without being pushy. We needed a fridge that day and he made it happen.

My refrigerator broke down just three…
My refrigerator broke down just three weeks after it was delivered. I expected a replacement, but instead I was directed to a third-party service company, who then referred me to GE. GE has now created a service request.
We have been without a working refrigerator for four days and counting.
If this were a small appliance like a toaster, I would simply return it and receive a replacement. For a major appliance, this process is unreasonable and unacceptable.
This experience has made it clear that next time I will purchase from Costco, where a 90-day return policy avoids situations like this entirely.
I understand your response and your company's desire to be like many appliance retailers, except for Costco, which allows returns within 90 days. But in the end, it is now Day 9 without a working fridge and no support from your company in replacing an appliance that lasted less than a month.

Assistance with extended warranty information
This was my first call to CAS.
We are in a new house. The house came with appliances purchased by the home builder.
The builder had provided information that an extended warranty had been purchased.
Paz was helpful and patient while guiding me to the information that I needed in order to contact the service plan agent.
Which I have done.
Great staff
Great staff online, on the phone and in person. Md at the Langford location in Victoria was very helpful especially when he was able to price match. When MD was off another staff whose name I forget rose to the occasion and helped me also. And also Arwyn was very helpful and patient when I spoke to him a few times on the phone. I recommend shopping at CAS. They have lots in stock to look at and they'll work with you to get a sale. I can't see myself buying another appliance anywhere else in Victoria
exemplary service
I received exemplary service from both the Sales associate (Connor F.) and the Customer support associate (Aisha, re delivery arrangements). Both were tremendous in helping me select the best product for my specifications, and then in arranging delivery and hauling away. I’m very grateful they made this so smooth and easy for me. I’m happy with the price too.
Misleading product labels
I have had a difficult experience with Canadian Appliances. Their product descriptions are vague and misleading, and the moment they have your money, they disappear. Reaching them is a nightmare, and their customer service is nonexistent. They sent us an mis-advertised hood and initially refused to replace it. There appears to be some progress in considering our request. I sincerely hope that they follow through and make an exchange so this product can be installed.

False Promises and Terrible Service – Avoid CAS at All Costs
I had a terrible experience with Canadian Appliance Source (CAS) and their team, including Farman Khan, Christina Edgar, Paz and more. I purchased a stackable washer and dryer, but the stacking kit was missing from the package, as later confirmed by their parts and service department, where they admitted it should have been included.
Farman, who was listed as my sales rep and even asked me to leave a positive Google review mentioning his name, refused to assist, claiming he wasn’t responsible and directing me to Christina. Christina, in turn, told me, “I’m no longer your sales rep, and Farman has to assist you on this.” Both deflected responsibility and left me to deal with the issue myself.
When I escalated to Andy Rupnarine at CAS HQ, he initially promised to help and expedite the stacking kit, but after November 6, he stopped responding to emails or calls. CAS scheduled multiple installation attempts, but they failed each time—once they didn’t call my tenant despite my repeated instructions, and another time they sent unqualified technicians who openly admitted they were new and unqualified to install the stacking kit.
The customer service team was consistently rude and dismissive, with representatives talking over me and refusing to provide meaningful assistance. What should have been a simple purchase turned into a month-long nightmare. Do not buy from CAS—they are unreliable, unprofessional, and a complete waste of time and money.
The promises on their website about knowledgeable staff, respect, and commitment to customer satisfaction are completely false. Based on my experience, CAS fails to embody any of these values, leaving customers frustrated and neglected at every step of the process.

Quite simply the worst customer service…
Quite simply the worst customer service I have ever received. From the sales rep total disregard to provide the best product, to the fulfillment center failing to include all installation parts needed (not once, but twice), to me having to file a police report against the delivery people...
Unbelievably poor experience.

Paz and Farman
Paz and Farman did a great job helping me out with my purchase and arranging delivery. Painless
Great service!
Sheshna provided me with the guidance I needed to resolve an issue of missing parts on the new dishwasher I purchased. Sheshna was professional and very pleasant to deal with.
Thank you! Jennifer
Waited Until 1am and No Delivery
My order was supposed to be delivered between 3-7pm. At 11pm I received a call that they were extremely behind in delivering and would I wait for them. I said yes and waited up until 1am and never received a delivery. Nobody contacted me the next day. I had to call to rebook a delivery and then had to wait an additional day for my product to be delivered. I have asked by way of 3 phone calls and an email to be refunded for my delivery due to the poor service and they have refused. This is poor, poor customer service.

From walking in the door and leaving…
From walking in the door and leaving about 1 hour later after purchasing a new front load washer we were really pleased with the service and attention we received. We got your name from an appliance man and was really glad we did. We will be looking for a new dishwasher in the near future and wouldn't hesitate to shop in your store. From a very satisfied customer.
Seamless Experience Ordering Appliances
Had a great experience ordering my appliances over the phone - once I had the chance to review the items from a competitor. The transaction was seamless and the prices ended up being better than what I expected (received a discount from the listed price). The delivery date was a bonus as I only had to wait for one day to receive my items.
