Simply the worst dispenser ever
Simply the worst dispenser ever. No tablets, crushed tablets, 3 tablets at a time!! Will never buy again
A bitter taste
After years using the Candrel tablets and putting up with the poor dispenser, thinking it was us just being heavy handed and quite a lot of the tablets come out crushed, now we are getting containers full of tablets that do not dissolve and float on the top like milk that is off. What is going on?
They also leave a bitter taste
Their sweeteners no longer dissolve in…
Their sweeteners no longer dissolve in hot drinks. And I mean HOT drinks - kettle just boiled piping hot. The fact that their dispensers rarely work either makes me question who they have on quality control?!
Canderel Red has changed from Aspartame…
Canderel Red has changed from Aspartame to Sucralose without any warning. Now they don't dissolve properly and keep sticking in the dispenser.
How can they change the formula without saying so? Surely this is a bit of a trades description issue
For some reason recently the tablets…
For some reason recently the tablets are not dissolving in tea? This has only occurred within the last 3/4 months?
Dispenser does not work
Dispenser does not work, you have to forcibly crack open container to get to contents. Then you discover it does not dissolve in drinks leaving a nasty taste. Do not buy this product
Do not dissolve and leave floaters
I have used canderel for years but why now do they not dissolve and even when you smash them with your spoon you end up with loads of bits floating on top of your tea or coffee. I thought I had a bad batch so bought more from a different shop but they are the same. Please go back to how they were .
Why have they stopped dissolving in a…
Why have they stopped dissolving in a cup of tea?? I now need to bring a spoon in to further break up a floating residue after a couple of minutes. It has happened on more than one dispenser co cannot be a one off contamination issue? Change of formulation perhaps.
Disgusting Taste
I've used Canderel sweetener for years and recently noticed a big change in the taste. Whilst before, I would use 4 tablets in a cup of coffee, now I have to use 8 - and they have a horrible, chemical taste which makes me feel unwell. Definitely not buying any more..
What a frightful dispenser.
What a frightful dispenser.
I will never buy this product again.
The design and manufacture are apalling!

As a company we regularly order your individual sachet product.. I understand that sometimes the odd packet may be faulty but for months now I estimate that approximately 50% of the packets contain NOTHING... Not only is this not what we pay for but impacts the environment with all of the pointless paper being used to supply just air .. quality control is definitely poor
Awful!
Crushed tablets.. top comes of when u shake to try loosen tabs in dispenser.. won't be buying again! Drives me mad!
Crushed nuts 😳😱 no, crushed sweetners…
Sadly the same issue as many reviewers on here. The tablet dispenser is of such a poor design, it virtually crushes the majority of tablets it dispenses, barring the odd one.
I decided to give them another go, as saw a different type of dispenser being sold, than the one I’d had a while ago….it’s worse than their last one!
I always have a pack of sweetners in my handbag. At times I like 1.1/2 tablets, if I’ve been given a very strong coffee, so cut one tablet by choice, but don’t like to have bits of crushed tablet coming out, as you can’t ‘measure’ what’s gone in your cup, when it’s little bits dropping out, and clearly not enough for one tablet.
I’ve had similar issues with other brands, except Hermesetas which are tiny tablets, but harder to cut in half.
With all these negative dispenser reviews, get your act together Canderel.
‘Silver Spoon’ are just as bad!
HOW ON EARTH DO YOU GET IN TO THEM?
If anyone can tell me how to remove the cardboard outer packaging, I'd be very grateful and possibly willing to pay you. As a 72 year old with arthritis, it is virtually impossible to get into the plastic container without the risk of dislocated fingers. I usually have to resort to cutting through it with scissors. There was, some years ago, a general agreement between food companies that items should not need other than one's hands to open them. If they did then it should be mentioned on the packaging. Lately, I find most companies now disregard this e.g. serrated edges or pull back ties. Canderel seemingly have not even bothered to wonder how anyone would get into the product. It is utterly disgraceful - these sweetners are not cheap.
Customer care is none existent.
Customer care is none existent.
5 emails and not a response to one.
The pocket canderel packets are poor as the bottom falls out. Needs improvement.
Dispenser gives out 2 or 3 not just 1…
Dispenser gives out 2 or 3 not just 1 tablet. Takes more than 2 to taste any sweetness at all. Back to cheaper brand I think
Rubbish dispenser
Rubbish dispenser - clearly not designed or tested………
Time to buy another!
Like so many others, my experience is that there’s a major design fault in the plastic dispenser.
Can anybody suggest a better dispenser?
Or a good sweetener in a better dispenser?
I like Canderel but have decided enough is enough - if the manufacturers can’t be bothered to improve the design I’ll now go elsewhere.
Looking back on previous reviews it…
Looking back on previous reviews it seems nothing has been done by this company to sort out the inadequacies of their tablet dispensers as the problem still remains I have to take the top off to get the tablets out otherwise they come out 2 at a time, get totally stuck or break up come on canderel surely you can do better than this in this day and age 🤷♀️
Rubbish Dispenser
Rubbish dispenser. One feels that the manufacturer doesn’t give a toss about their customers. I may be looking in the wrong place but there does not seem to be any acknowledgement or reply to customers who have taken time to try to improve their experience of trying to use this product.
