I sent my excellent condition Iphone 13…

I sent my excellent condition Iphone 13 to cashyourphone.co.uk via UPS on the 19th of June, it was received on the 20th of June, since then, there has been no communication, the website has no phone number, and I am understanding after a thorough web search this is a fraud company who has fooled many people like this! Cannot believe they show trustpilot 5* rating at their website! I am losing faith in trust pilot now!!

This company always changes there quotes

This Company are fund of changing the quote given From £155 to £62 and I know it works well as I got it tested else where. They claim there’s problem with the fan.
They are not reliable. This is the second time they have done this to me while selling my phone.
I will never use them again.

You will get ripped off if you receive anything. All offers are fake.

Was offered £200 for a MacBook Air which was in perfect condition and returned to factory settings when it was sent. When they received it they claimed it was tested with problems with the fan and offered me £95. I refused and tried to pay the £20 to get it back, they keep changing their offer and refusing to send it back. Eventually after threatening legal action they made an offer of £150 which I accepted to end this issue. After numerous emails and complaints still hadn’t paid blaming other departments and system errors.

If YOU have been offered a radicicolous counter offer from this company... READ ON for tips on how to GET YOUR MONEY BACK

IF YOU HAVE BEEN CONNED BY THIS COMPANY AND OFFERED A RIDICULOUS COUNTEROFFER, HERE IS HOW YOU GET YOUR RIGHTFUL MONEY OWED!!!

My FULL Story:

I was quoted £130 for a brand-new Galaxy Tab Lite 6, which I accepted and posted the item to them, expecting to receive £130 shortly after they received my item (which I sent them brand new, in the box, and still sealed).

They had the audacity to email me saying, “We value your device/devices at £52 because of the following reasons: GRADE C WITH MORE THAN MODERATE SCRATCHES ON THE BEZEL.”

I then looked at the reviews and sprung into action.....

I DECIDED TO GO FULL KAREN (Sorry nice Karens of the world) 😇

I demanded evidence, as there was no way in this universe or the next that I was accepting an offer of £52 or for that matter anything less than the original price of £130. The email also said if I refused their offer of £52, I would have to pay £20 for them to post it back. I was having none of this.

Here is what I did:

I demanded videos, photos, proof of the serial number I sent them, and evidence of this “damage.”

This scared them. Clearly, they don’t often get customers disputing their claims and demanding evidence. They are clearly trying to push their luck and see what they can get away with. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS.

I emailed them disputing their counteroffer of £52 and demanded evidence to value the item at £52.

They emailed back with NO EVIDENCE but a counter offer of £65 – I rejected, demanding evidence and the original payment of £130.

They emailed back with NO EVIDENCE but a counter offer of £75 – I rejected, demanding evidence and the original payment of £130.

They emailed back with NO EVIDENCE but a counter offer of £110 – I rejected, demanding evidence and the original payment of £130.

Not ONCE did they supply evidence to back up their claims; they just kept increasing their offer. So clearly, that speaks for itself that they had no evidence.

After more emails, I finally received an email confirming that my original offer/quote of £130 would be honored, to which I agreed. It took a further three working days for the payment to be received, which was paid in two installments of £52 & £78, but I got the money I was rightfully owed.

MY ADVICE TO YOU AND HAVING TO DEAL WITH RIDICULOUS COUNTEROFFERS :

1 ) Firstly..... DO NOT BACK DOWN:

2 ) Demand all evidence they have to have been able to come up with the value of your item, including evidence of all damage they claim.

3 ) Speak to a legal representative.

4 ) Call the police.

5 ) Speak to Citizens Advice.

6 ) Speak to Trading Standards.

7 ) Document absolutely everything and ALL COMMUNICATIONS.

8 ) Leave reviews of your experience.

9 ) DO NOT GIVE UP – Keep going until you have the money you agreed first with the company. I sent 1 email daily until the matter was resolved

10 ) Good luck!!!!

Lastly – Here are the company details to pursue legal action:

Trades under: Tech Universe Ltd – Known as ‘Cash Your Phone’

Company Number: 12681382

Update on my experience with this SMABLES OF A COMPANY

So, here goes MY FORTH REVIEW of this HORRIFIC company.

After approximately 13 emails disputing their counteroffer for my BRAND NEW GALAXY TAB LITE 6, WHICH STILL HAD THE SEAL ON, they have finally agreed to pay me the original offer of £130.

To recap:
I was first offered £52, then £65, then £75, then £110, and then FINALLY the original offer of £130.

However, I HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED THE PAYMENT of £130. THEIR OWN TERMS STATE: "Payments are processed the same day if the order is completed before 2 pm (Monday to Friday), and the funds will be in your bank account before midnight the same day. When orders are completed after 2 pm, funds will be shown in bank accounts the next business day."

THE ORDER WAS ACCEPTED FRIDAY. STILL NOTHING.

I've not dropped my case and it's still sat with my legal team. I WILL NOT REST UNTIL I HAVE RECEIVED MY £130.

Avoid at all cost. They do not honour quotes and will counter offer at a ridiculous low price and will take weeks to pay you even though their website states 1 working day.

Avoid at all cost

Like others I was a fool and failed to check reviews before selling these crooks my device.
My device was like new and they offered me £90, but after accepting this too good to be true offer, I received an email titled counter offer. This said my device was not up to scratch and offered me £36.

Of course I was immediately concerned then saw the reviews which told similar stories.

I was one of the lucky ones as I managed to argue that my legal representative told me this was a breach of their conditions and trading standards and eventually they offered me what I would get from a reputable site.

Best thing to remember is if it seems to good to be true it, it probably is.

Steer clear of these sharks.

Absolutely avoid this company

Absolutely avoid this company, they are thieves and liars. Made an offer for iPhone 12 & S21+ that were in pristine condition but some 6 days after collection a counter offer received for more than £120 less or pay £20 to have them returned.
Feeling cheated but accepted their offer and now some 3 weeks later no money received and no contact possible with this company who show an unbelievable amount of arrogance in what little communication that is received.
I am now going through companies house and the local police in their area and preferring charges on the liars and thieves.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Do not deal with this company as they…

Do not deal with this company as they falsely give you a high offer and then they receive your item, they will then reply to you depending on what you sold them, which was in my case a MacBook Pro with the following;
"Whilst testing your MacBook Pro Core i7 2.5 15 inch (2015) 16GB we have noticed that it doesn't match the Good/Poor/Faulty you selected whilst filling out the online form.
It's not all bad news, we would still like to buy your device.
We value your device/devices at £ 25 because of the following reasons: WRONG MODEL SELECTED, ITS A 2012 MODEL. GRAPHIC CARD HEATS ON HIGH GRAPHIC GAME BEING PLAYED, FAN COULD BE BLOCKED"

However if you refuse and ask them to send your item back, they will charge you £30.00, which they make clear in their T&C's.

In short, this company operates a scam to deliberately get you to send the goods into them and then they reduce the price dramatically knowing full well you are trying to declutter and that you will not want to pay £30.00 return delivery charges.

I was offered £150.00 for my MacBook Pro based on me selecting on their site that my Mac was "Poor", which was actually working and I took pictures of the Mac and I sent these to them as well, before I posted the Mac to them. They accepted the email as proof that the goods were working and Poor.

So, when I got the email they sent me above, I replied to them as follows;

"I half expected you to reply with this as your T&C’s seemed one-sided supported by a statement that you would charge a client if they wanted the items back again.

Due to this, I took precautions as I both sent your firm an email showing the condition of the Mac Pro along with making it very clear that I selected “POOR” which I also did again today and on both occasions your firm offered me £150.00.

After, replying to an email, which you initially sent me about a label for UPS, which I could not open, I replied and you then sent me a PDF label, which again I replied with photos of the MacPro. It clearly shows the condition, the fact that it boots up without any operating system on it, which I made clear to your firm was due to the fact I had erased everything.

I then confirmed in one of the attached emails that, all you have to do, is upload / reload it with new macOS Catalina software ok. I then got an email back from your firm @ 17.55 hours on the 20th May 2024 stating as follows;

'Hi no problem, thank you for keeping us updated. Please make sure your device is securely packaged into a box and UPS label attached to the front of the package. Then you can take it to the drop of point.
Thanks'

This is very clear that your firm saw all these photos attached to my email, that confirmed the condition of my MacPro, which you as a company replied too and at No point in that email did it suggest this was worse than “POOR” which I selected on your website and stated it was worth £150.00

Therefore as a compromise, I am prepared to accept £100.00 minimum unless you can demonstrate why this Mac Pro is less than the category of 'POOR.' Email reply END'

After several more emails of, which two made it clear to them I would start legal action, they agreed to pay me £100.00. However, they delayed the resolution further by stating they could not pay the money into my bank account as the account number was wrong. I swiftly replied with proof that I sent them the correct account number at the outset and furthermore one of my latest email, which made it clear that I would start legal action, also confirmed the same account number.

The very next day I received payment.

Fraud/Theft with my Brand new PS4 with its Brand new Sony controller

I sent my nearly Brand new PS4 Pro 1Tb console with its brand new Sony controller, Items were only unboxed. They are not replying my 15 emails. Now I sent them final email that I will report this fraud & theft to police & get involved my lawyer & other relevant authorities, which they done with me. Initially they offered me a good quote price for my items, and sent me a UPS free postal label. Item is confirmed delivered to them at reception by UPS. Now they not paying my money or returning my item & not replying my emails at all, which is absolutely unfair. This is totally Fraud and Theft and a criminal offence. Please all customers who facing this fraud/theft issue, please report this matter to relevant authorities to get hold of this person, to put him in the jail & charge him criminal offence and recover whole cost for the victims. I don’t want to give any one single review to this company. Thank you all.
