Portia was extremely helpful, courteous and professional throughout. In addition, she always followed up queries/actions in a timely manner to ensure that all aspects of the sale were progressing.
After living in our beloved flat for nearly 3 years, time came to size up, and we started looking for a bigger place. The Chancellors estate agency in Maidenhead seemed like a perfect choice for us - they were quick with our enquiry about the valuation, flexible, and excited about the sale as much as we are and ready to go ahead as soon as we gave the green light... Emma B. was very friendly and extremely helpful along the singing up process.
We are looking forward to finding our new "perfect home".
From start to finish our experience with Chancellors Maidenhead was atrocious! The processes took more than 2 years! the support and advice was poor at best and non existent at worse.
We were trying to sell a 1 bedroom flat in Maidenhead for our mother who unfortunately needed to go into Care so the monies from the sale would go towards her fees. our first contact with Chancellors 04/10/2021
A buyer was interested fairly soon after the property was put onto the Market. The family were assured that the sale would be swift as the buyer was in rented accommodation and were keen to buy we were also told that they were cash buyers. Many months passed
which included the original buyers dropping out ! exploring the possibility of an action sale dropping the price.
Then in February 2023 we received a confirmation letter to say that the original interested buyer had made a confirmed offer 25K less than the original price. We agreed as my mothers funds we vey low.
We appointed a solicitor to manage the sale for us.
at the end of August 2023 I went to our solicitor and signed paperwork as we were assured that the sale would be completed while I was on holiday in France.
the next day I received a phone call from someone at the chancellors office in Maidenhead to tell me that the buyer had dropped out and would no longer be going ahead with the purchase and would I like to discuss re marketing the property! We had to pay our solicitor £2.000 for the work she had done for the sale.
the property was re marketed for 100k 30K less than he original price! and on my return from holiday (mid September) a fast cash sale had been secured
to a couple who were abroad most of the year and needed a bolt hole in the UK. they wished to complete
by 10 October 2023 when they had to return abroad again.
Well...........needless to say finally on 23rd December 2023 we heard that the sale had been completed! but because of Christmas and New Year the financial transaction could not completed until 2024. Before the final transaction was completed to add insult to injury
we received a phone call from Chancellors to say that the keys they had for the flat and garage were missing and they were unable to find them! on our return from the New year break my husband had to drive 200 miles round trip to deliver a spare set of keys we had kept until we new the sale had gone through. He was offered no thanks and had to ask for a receipt to say that we had delivered the keys! UNBELIEVABLE! you could not make it up!
As you can imagine as a family we are absolutely disgusted at the service and support we received from Chancellors would never recommended your company to anyone in fact we are astonished you are still in business!
The only good thing for us is that we will no longer have any dealings with Chancellors again.
As you can imagine we absolutely begrudge the fee we had to pay you!

Recently, I had a very good viewing experience with Chancellors. They were very professional and clear in their communication from the start. The booking process was seamless too. Properties on their platform are generally very good. I was given ample time to view the property and ask questions.

Abby Pidgeley, The realtor who helped me was the best. She took my details promptly and arranged a viewing for the property I was interested in. Abby was timely with the followups and the reminders. On the day of the viewing she made sure that we were greeted outside the building and took us to the apartment and walked us through the property and explained the details. Abby was very courteous and professional all through the process. Very happy that I chose Chancellor's in my search for an apartment in the Maidenhead area.

Portia at Chancellers has been so helpful.
Always gets back to me as soon as possible, has kept me updated and followed up with me quickly with any information I have needed.
I had, had a few bad experiences with Maidenhead estate agents in the last couple of years and I would recommend Chancellers in Maidenhead to others based on my experience with Portia.

Used Chancellors to sell my house recently. The local sales SPOC Portia was extremely cooperative and supprted through the entire process which took almost 6 months. They managed to get a reasonable number of prospects and kept me duly informed through the process. Portia would personally follow up as well on the same. Recommend them strongly!
