They have the gall to highlight to me…
They have the gall to highlight to me it costs £165 for an unattended appointment!!! The same doctors who seem to think the NHS is a charity and we should be grateful THEIR treating us at all!!
Always late! Show little or no interest us!! Drag out any form of diagnosis (especially if it’s not PILLS!!!) follow up is nearly impossible and as for listening to feedback FORGET IT!!
Otherwise all is normal!!
MAKE SURE THOSE THAT ARENT DIRECTLY PAYING GET SEEN AND STAY OUT OF WORK!!!!
People are the problem, not the hospital!
I think a lot of problems caused by people! I see people from as far as Ealing and Acton travel to this hospital, purely because of prime location perception!!!End result: long waiting times, queues and poor quality of care! It’s basic math and common sense! You want Chelsea you get what you deserve! Come only if it’s your closest hospital for goodness sake!!! Use brains not scarcity!
They lie and cover up
They lie and cover up, saying my mum had treatment, when she never received any because the nurse forgot to book her in for it, so how come you said she had it, when I never took her as we never got the call,Don't trust this hospital they will kill you, especially
Chantelle cancer nurse
A SHAME OF PROFESSIONALISM AND ORGANIZATION
I don't know how this hospital is still in operation, I'm talking about the third floor in the maternity section, birth section!
They left my sister for more than 50 hours with her water breaking, she was more than 42 weeks pregnant, she was undergoing induction, dilated only 2 cm, they let the baby's heart almost stop beating twice, and then the second time they decided to do it Cesarean section, with her water breaking for 50 hours, not to mention the incompetence of the staff and doctors
After the cesarean section, the baby had lung problems and his life was at risk, all because of the incompetence of the staff and leaving my sister for more than 50 hours with her water broken and in induction!
The assistance after the birth was also melancholic, an unbelievable lack of professionalism, they treat patients like butcher's meat!
So 10 days after giving birth, my sister started to have a fever of over 40 degrees, she was admitted to hospital on Friday at 4pm, the staff came to see her at 9pm, they filled her with antibiotics and paracetamol which had no effect (of course, she had an infection ), we asked for an ultrasound many times to find out where the problem was (since it was 10 days after a complicated birth, due to the hospital's fault), but we always received a NO, and only on Saturday night around 5pm did they decide to do a Scam , after more than 24 hours with a fever of more than 40 degrees, with a 10-day-old baby by her side, and they found that the infection was due to a kidney stone (which could have been found on Friday, if the staff had the skills and desire to work)
They scheduled the surgery to remove the stone for 7pm on Saturday, but on Saturday the staff shift was changed and the new staff didn't know anything about the surgery, so they decided to move it to Sunday morning (Today 15/10) as 8am (another night my sister suffering from a fever and with the baby by her side needing care)
Today (Sunday) in the morning the staff informed that, once again, the surgery was rescheduled for the afternoon, and more suffering for her!
2 days have passed and as she arrived at the hospital on Friday, she is still waiting for someone competent to do something, we hope and pray that this will be resolved today, and that there will be trained professionals for at least 1 day!
What they did to her from birth until today is not right, this is a case of newspapers and TV, lazy staff who always find excuses not to do what needs to be done, who clearly don't like working with people and don't respect patients!
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL, THEY ARE COMPLETELY UNPREPARED, ONLY STUDENTS WORK AND THEY HAVE NO WILLINGNESS TO HELP PATIENTS AND DO THEIR JOB!
The situation we have experienced in the last 15 days in this hospital is despairing, you should review your workers and professionalism!
Hospital is putting my health at risk
Veronia Greener GMC reg No 6028291 made an utterly bizarre false claim on my records, namely that I was refusing treatment! I initially put it down to a typo and asked for it to be corrected in line with the GDPR and GMC guidelines that state records must be accurate an honest.
The hospital refused. So a patient's word counts for nothing, if your title is Dr you can falsify patient records and your employer will support you.
I find this so insane, Veronica's claim doesn't sound plausible, doesnt have a ring of truth and is just plain unbelievable. She and the hospital know they are putting my health at risk by denying me the care to which I am entitled.
I wouldnt care if I wasnt forced to fund this charade; but we pay the salaries of the people who literally hate us and want us dead.
Get private health insurance
It has been my local hospital for over ten years now. Having had surgery here before, I have never had a complaint
What I saw today in this hospital, however, scared the living daylights out of me ,it took nearly two hours to receive an X-ray and 45 minutes to be seen by a doctor who was openly uninterested in addressing my concerns. After a five minute conversation, I couldn't wait to leave. Not to mention that I had to wait two weeks for this appointment due to an arm fracture . After realizing that I am going to die if something serious happens to me as the NHS is going, today was the day when I realized that I need private health insurance. I am sad to write this review but I am beyond disappointed.
AAU admission on the 19/05/2023
AAU admission on the 19/05/2023. I was admitted with sever asthmatic symptoms and struggling to breath. Initially a mistake and said I had a viral infection and they put me in a side room. Then later I was told they misread the information ans I haven’t got a infectious bug. I was then told I would be moved to a bay. I advised them I struggle with sleeping and could they put me somewhere quiet. They said yes. And moved me to the most noisy bay with two men bickering constantly which I found overwhelming. Not to forget apart from one qualifies nurse all staff were disconnected and rude not pleasant at all. From senior members to HCAs. They had no empathy, barely communicated with patients including myself that you could clearly see were in distress. I tried to start a conversation but got nothing back specifically from the night staff. This is day one mind. I’ve already had a mini breakdown and been asked to move bays. As it’s as effecting my mental health and therefore exaggerbating my health issues. It’s a terrible experience when you can’t catch your breath.. the staff nurse on the night shift wearing a light blue uniform was the nicest and clearly enjoyed doing her job. Nurse Savitha is so polite and professional she usually works the day shift. Morning catering staff rude, the lady was mature so I was expecting an experienced lady. I smiled said hi, no response. I asked what was on the menu and received a blank face. Then asked again ordered and she didn’t give me butter even though I asked “politely” twice. One of the cleaning staff ended up getting it for me. Their was also another senior staff nurse won’t mention names who was so detached, she was so cruel to a relative who lost her mother and was obviously in shock.. i felt for her incredibly. In general the experience in AAU was horrendous and I was literally getting worse due to this. You should feel safe in hospital, you should feel it’s a place to heal. However this wasn’t the case inexperienced staff who’s heart wasn’t in it.. that’s all I could see. Who had no empathy for anyone.
Really rude staff with patronising…
Really rude staff with patronising attitude.
My wife had an emergency yesterday as she could barely breathe due to inflammation in chest.
Staff never offered any medicine to ease the pain throughout the whole lengthy waiting times of more than 4 hours. I find it extremely unprofessional.
Once called upon, met Dr. Sam and first question with disgust in his face was "what are you doing here?"
My wife's English isnt the best but in my opinion every single individual should be treated the same, especially when visiting a hospital in prime location.
Dr. Sam patrionised my wife when explaining that an X-ray is a picture. Like we didn't know that? The whole consultation was ignorant and unprofessional.
All this time wasted to be recommended painkillers only. It's unacceptable and unbelievable that we as tax payers have to receive such horrendous service. I'm not a doctor but I'd at least recommend to drink Milk as it has fats that help for inflammation or drink camomile tea with no sugar, if it's really nothing serious, to remove inflammation and try to understand what Housekeeping actually mean because as far as I saw, Dr. Sam didn't even know the profession requires to use strong chemicals.
Besides everything, whilst waiting with my wife in A&E yesterday, I have woken up feeling ill, for no reason.
It's appalling how dirty and unsanitaised environment it was in the waiting room.
I have had 4 appointments cancelled…
I have had 4 appointments cancelled this year one on the morning of the appointment the latest one the day before
. One I can understand as it was on the day of the Queen's funeral . You have to wait months for a new appointment . On the letters they send out they remind you that it cost the NHS £160 for a missed appointment but what about the cost the patient I have lost 4 days holiday for these appointments
Absolutely terrible.. what a shambles
Absolutely terrible... went in with severe hip and leg pain and numbness THEY DID A CT ON MY HEAD EVEN THOUGH THATS NOT THE PROBLEM!!! IM IN AS MUCH PAIN IF NOT MORE AVOID AVOID AVOID
Do not use the ACU
I am writing this review after receiving my notes recently. I received “care” in the assisted conception unit for infertility for PCOS in 2018-2019. I was treated appallingly and though I followed the complaints procedure I got no where with the blame placed on me. I work for the NHS so I do not make complaints lightly, I proceeded to complain to the ombudsman but because of issues with lies the trust told I had ended up outside the 2 year cut off for them to consider my case, so instead I was going to leave it however having just received my notes I will not leave it and will forewarn as many people as I can do not use this unit for fertility they will take your money and take full advantage. So back story I have PCOS it’s an awful condition which affects everyone differently unfortunately I am on the more severe end so I cannot get pregnant without help and I gain weight even just by looking at food. Anyway in 2018 me and my husband were referred to the clinic by my GP we had 2 appointments and all tests under the NHS and were told they could easily help us get pregnant through ovulation induction. My BMI was too high for IVF but we didn’t need that at that point. At no point was I told my BMI was too high for basic treatment we were only told that I would need scans throughout and we had to pay for those because the CCG for our area didn’t. This was the start of a private pathway we were put on without our knowledge or without letting us make an informed decision. They preyed on the fact we were desperate to be parents. Over the course of 18months we were told to have scans and more expensive medications we never saw a doctor even when I raised concerns about why my womb lining was too thick and when medications stopped working they refused to let me speak to a doctor and just kept scanning me until I either got referred back to the consultant through my GP or I paid privately to see him. I then had an op to look at what was happening I was meant to be followed up 6weeks later but that never happened. 5 cycles down I never got pregnant and had spent £5000 for scans half of which weren’t necessary and medications. They used all our savings.
I raised a complaint and was told effectively that they did nothing wrong because my BMI was too high to have NHS care (I was never told this or given the choice to go away and loose more weight) they said this was based on CCG guidelines however when I opened and investigation with the CCG (which the ACU falsely told them they dealt with) and delayed my complaint by 6months, the CCG guidelines were well out of date but also only specified BMI as a criteria for IUI and IVF not ovulation induction. I went back with this to the PALS but they were not helpful and because of the delay I was outside of the 2 year cut off for the ombudsman.
Because of the wasted money we have had to wait 2 years to save up and since then I have lost my sister to suicide. I recently started seeing a new consultant elsewhere and requested my notes from C&W which was in itself very difficult as they didn’t send all the notes and I had to struggle to get my fertility notes. I can now see why because on the notes from my very first Consultant appointment in the NHS clinic there is a mention of adenymosis- (this causes a thick and uneven lining which would make it impossible to get pregnant this in itself causes infertility) this was never mentioned to me. They knew I had this condition and yet still charged me, gaslighted me when I raised concerns about the lining of my womb and have basically stolen not only our £5000 but also our time. They stole any chance of my sister ever meeting a niece/nephew. They caused me to have a mental breakdown. The damage they caused in the pursuit of money is indescribable. My new consultant also cannot understand why they did not treat my PCOS and did not give me medication to support any potential fertilisation. He too has stated they wasted my time and money.
I developed sore throat on Sunday…
I developed sore throat on Sunday 19/2/2023. but on Tuesday 21/2/2023 I could not eat/swallow/drink, I could not even my swallow my saliva, I could not take my diabetes medications.
I booked an appointment with my GP on 22/2/2023, she advised me that it is tonsillitis abscess (Quinsy) and I should go to A&E to get it drained. I went to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital A&E at 12:00 for that purpose. I was spitting in a bowl. The nurse who triaged me assured me that I will not be sent home till I am able to eat and drink. waiting time long was not going to complain about waiting (however, I will complain as I spent 7 and half hours in Chelsea and Westminster Hospital but sent home without treatment, diagnoses, I had to endure further 72 hours of not eating, not being able to sleep for a second, not eating, not being to swallow my own saliva, not being able to take my medications - I have diabetes _ I could not swallow my saliva, I could not breath, I thought I was taking my last breath) had I been treated I would not complain but spending 7 and half hours then sent home without treatment. I had blood done, a female doctor saw me arranged few medications via IV, she informed me that she has finished her shift and another doctor will be looking after me. the male Dr (who not mentioning his name here although I know his name) after finishing all iv drips, took me to a room but he was called out, he did apologise, HE DID NOT DRAIN MY QUINSY he did not check if I can eat or drink, he gave me antibiotics and sent me home. I went home, I could not sleep, could not eat, could not swallow, could swallow my saliva. I forced antibiotics and pain killer down my throat and nothing else - no food. and continued to spit out my saliva.
since Tuesday I had not eaten nor drank, and have not had any sleep in fear chocking in sleep plus severe pain would not let me sleep, I felt going mad I was crying from pain and I thought that I was going to die due to lack of food and water, or chock if I fell sleep.
on Saturday 25/2/2023 I called 111 at 5am, they called me back and told me to get myself to A&E asap now. I went to St Mary's hospital A&E the nurse called for an ENT consultant, ENT consultant sent me in their taxi to Charing Cross Hospital, I was admitted overnight and they discharged me next day, they have also booked an emergency follow up appointment. I will write their discharge note:
patient attended CXH hospital being unable to eat and drink. Was complaining of significant Odynophagia and Dysphagia. Upon review found to have a right sided Quinsy. Needle aspirated produced pus that was sent for microbiology test. Bloods shown raised infection markers. Overnight patient given intravenous therapy. Next day with repeat needle aspiration patient feeling better. able to eat and drink. Patient being discharged with a course of ...... safety netted for worsening SX will be f/u in EC ENT clinic
I have attended this hospital A&E before several times and I have had good experiences before but this time they failed me, was it just one doctor who failed me or both? if they had treated me on 22/2/2023 or referred me elsewhere I would not have had to endure further 72 hours of agony, extreme pain not drink not eat, not sleep for second, feeling liked being chocked feeling I was taking my very last breath. I was crying, dizzy from dehydration. Blood sugar unbalanced.
I will never ever set foot in Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. And I strongly advise against visiting their A&E. Their building is posh but treatment is zero.
I work for the healthcare and wanted to…
I work for the healthcare and wanted to find out information pertaining to a department and was put on hold for nearly an hour by the switchboard. I spoke to the same lady and yet she stated that she did not pick up my calls at all as I used another phone to call her. This is appalling and bad customer service. Nobody directed me to the right department when I called again I was put on hold.
corrupt medicine
I experienced dangerous behaviour from chelsea and westminster hospital. I went on the 6th December. My father had serious symptoms of bloodshot eyes and the doctors told him to lie at home and just wait to get better. This is disgusting. The doctors then use cunning tactics and say that my father did not give consent for making a complaint about his situation.
I would observe caution chosing this…
I would observe caution chosing this hospital for care.
I had to visit emergency care a few weeks back due to early signs of a heart attack. I was seen quick and I was sent for ECG, the technician was very good and all went well. From then onwards it all went downhills.
The only people that I got to see from that point when taken to major's were extremely inexperienced trainees. The male nurse, who was very sweet but a trainee, took blood and blew up my vein (the vein is now permanently damaged a specialist told me, not a good outcome). The "doctor" (or so she said) was a young medical student named Nazia Zahed, and couldn't been worse. She read cheat sheets to know what to do next, could not find my test results or any other files, kept rolling her eyes and was just plain rude and so very unprofessional from start to end. Nazia Zahed argued with an even younger than herself trainee who had also showed up with questions and training notes. I felt I was in the presence of a 14-year old bubble-gum chewing teenager with a severe attitude problem. And all of this while I'm in emergency's majors department with a heart condition....
I ended up asking if she could please let me see a more senior doctor, and this incensed Nazia Zahed who became more argumentative. I was refused to see a more senior doctor. Nazia Zahed should not be working in a hospital AT ALL. It's every patient's right to ask to see a doctor in a hospital.
I realised the treatment and professionalism at this hospital could put my health at risk when I had no access to an actual doctor in emergency care. So inform them I had no choice but to leave.
About an hour later I get an email notification with a dispatch report put together and signed by this med student Nazia Zahed. There was no mention of any comprehensive medical assessment of my condition. Instead, she wrote three pages of pure def amation and faked a conversation that never took place to cover up her own ineptitude.
15 mins after her dispatch note, an appointment I had for the following month was cancelled. Two additional upcoming appointments in the following weeks at Chelsea and Westminster hospital have been automatically cancelled then onwards. .... the timing is a bit odd.
Chelsea and Westminster hospital should be investigated for their care standards.
Mr Tim Sinnett is a liar and not to be…
Mr Tim Sinnett is a liar and not to be trusted.
I am traumatised and still reeling from…
I am traumatised and still reeling from an Adult Orthopaedics appointment to which I accompanied my vulnerable adult daughter today. An Auxiliary named Sharon, said she called our name 4 times which was untrue because we were waiting all the while in the waiting room and no one called. When we informed her of this, she continued to insist it was true and actually mimicked the voice of my Autistic daughter which was extremely shocking because we would never expect such treatment in an NHS hospital. Sharon also stated that no x-ray was showing as having been done, even though we had it done 1 hour prior to all this. I was so shocked, my stomach was in knots. My daughter was crying because of how she was treated and spoken to. When we sat in the treatment cubicle, we were both so upset, we could not focus on her injury and treatment. To add insult to injury, Mr Sinnett came and claimed he had called us also (we had already checked with reception if we had been called and they confirmed no), but I said to Mr Sinnett that he could not have called us as he claimed, and he responded twice ‘Are you calling me a liar?’ ‘Are you calling me a liar?’ His behaviour was that of a bully and I was shaken by this treatment added to what had happened previously with Sharon (if I knew her surname, I would give it here). BTW my daughter’s x-ray miraculously appeared in the system for Mr Sinnett to review, after Sharon denied it was there.
A hospital that takes blood then looses the results!
My GP asked me to have a blood test for a slightly elevated PSA (prostate). I went to Chelsea Westminster for the test. When I rang for the results after a week they told me I was too early. After 2 weeks they told me to call back. After 3 weeks they still had no information. They actually asked me to ring 2 other departments including the lab and there was still no information. After 4 weeks I was told by my surgery that Chelsea lost the results!!!! Finally my own surgery did the test to discover my PSA level had risen to 10.4 which can easily mean cancer of the prostate can be present. In my opinion this could be elevated to malpractice
DISGUSTING A&E!!!
I came in as I am pregnant and was bleeding extremely heavy, leaning towards a miscarriage. The receptionist was disgustingly rude and told me because I was not that far along that it is NOT an emergency! I asked the receptionist if I can have a pain relief because I was in SO much pain and he said that I was able to walk to the reception desk so I couldn’t be in that much pain. I was waiting in a&e crying, in pain and bleeding for 5 HOURS! I am absolutely disgusted in this hospital and the audacity of the receptionist to give HIS own opinion when he is not qualified. DO NOT COME TO THIS HOSPITAL
Aš always absolutely disaster
Aš always absolutely disaster, just came in this morning and thought its still not opened as nurses are walking around like it's not working hours after a good half an hour people start asking and leaving what's happening, so the response was changing the staff or botles. I can see same lady working over there and always the same issue.
