I use Covent GardenFX quite often and the rates were very competitive. and the  staff are  welcoming and very professional. 

A special thank you to Juliana, who was absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful. She took the time to answer all my questions with patience and a warm smile, making the whole experience even better. Her excellent customer service really stood out.

I highly recommend this exchange shop to anyone looking for great rates and outstanding

Good exchange, quick service

Covent Garden offered the best exchange rate. Communication with the company was quick even though I ordered during the Easter bank holiday. The money duly arrived on the requested date. No complaints and will definitely recommend and use this company again.

Superb family run business!

I have been using Covent Garden FX for a number of years and can say the service is absolutely outstanding! I always deal with Mark. Although we’ve never met we always end up having a laugh about life. Mark always either matches or betters any comparison rate and offers a more personal service with his direct dial number. How about this for service - I needed dollars quickly for a short notice break away and they arrived next day via Royal Mail special delivery. I love that they are a family run business instead of some huge corporate company that don’t provide a caring personal service.

I was a bit skeptical at first about…

I was a bit skeptical at first about the website - the bank transfer option isn't something I had seen and I hadn’t heard of the company before.

However the service was really great, would recommend! There were limited denominations of the money I wanted so I got a call quickly after my order to rectify the problem. Managed to collect Brazillian money within 24 hours.

Juliana who called me and who I also picked up the money from was great. Super helpful throughout the process and great customer service! Will definitely use the service again as rates were very competitive compared to known places like royal mail/ m&s

Easily the best online postal FX…

Easily the best online postal FX service I've ever used. I made an error during the money bank transfer but not to worry. A quick email to Sam and within the hour it was all sorted.

Guaranteed delivery wasn’t - and no refund of delivery costs.

Edit: The response misunderstands my post. - I do not mention the denomination request charge in any part of my review. I’m making other customers aware that guaranteed next day isn’t guaranteed; and when it fails the only thing it does is increase their profit margin when they inevitably claim it back. The tug at heart strings “small family business” is just insulting - was a customer for many years and intended to continue to be, no more.

Ordered currency for an upcoming trip and paid for Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm. It didn’t arrive on the guaranteed date and is still sat at my local sorting office. It will now arrive Monday. When you’re ordering travel money, timing matters - that’s the entire point of paying for a guaranteed service.

Their T&Cs state they’re not responsible for delivery delays “outside their control,” but they chose the courier and charged me for the premium service. They can claim the delivery fee back from Royal Mail, but won’t pass that on to customers.

Rates are competitive, but if your delivery fails, don’t expect them to take any responsibility.

Edit: delivery arrived Saturday morning - a day late on guaranteed delivery.

We are sorry that Royal Mail were 1 day late with your parcel which arrived on Saturday. It is not their usual service but unfortunately this does happen occasionally, there are incidents such as bad weather or problems along the journey that can sometimes affect delivery.

That is why we included this by email to you before you went ahead with payment.

Your currency will be delivered via Royal Mail. Please allow an additional day for potential delays. We are not liable for late deliveries, as we are subject to Royal Mail’s terms and conditions.

The reason we send you this before you make payment is to pre warn this may happen and it is the customers choice whether they accept this and continue with the payment which you did. We sent another warning about allowing an extra day post payment as well so if this was inconvenient you could have called us.

'Please allow an extra business day for delivery just in case. This is very important
Covent Garden FX is not responsible for a late delivery as we are bound by Royal Mails Terms and Conditions.'

If you were unhappy with this arrangement you could have called and we would have been more than happy to cancel this for you.

You selected the premium denomination service due to the notes you required we didn't just charge you for it.

Royal Mail is the only delivery service that is available to ALL currency providers throughout the UK, there is no choice and once Royal Mail have taken control of the parcel we are bound under their Terms and Conditions all of this is pointed out before you pay. Royal Mail are the only company to insure large amount of money.

The majority of orders going out have their postage and insurance paid for by by ourselves. If the order is under a certain amount (which yours was) there is a postage charge. If yours was late and you have paid for the postage which you did i am more than happy to refund this. Please send an email to enquiries@coventgardenfx.com for my attention with your details to issue this refund.

Sorry you felt you had to leave this review for our small British family business and although we appreciate the inconvenience of it having arrived 1 day late we do feel we did give you adequate information before you paid that this may happen and to not make payment on an order if this would affect you so. We sent this out punctually for you but if there are delays en route with Royal Mail unfortunately we cannot control this only pre warn you that this may happen so you have a choice whether to go ahead.

'Charged me for the premium service' which you wrote IS the denomination request.

The actual charge from Royal Mail to us is much more than what you paid for delivery. We make absolutely no profit from this entirely the opposite. We have cancelled your account as requested.

Very impressed with good rate, communication &delivery

Was looking for some US dollars for our holiday and found the best rates by pre ordering, looking further found the best rate from Covent Garden FX which also included delivery. Was a bit concerned as they are in London and we are in the Midlands. Looked into them on here and the reviews were all pretty good, looked further and all appeared good. Then looked at how we pay and get the currency delivered, transfer was quick and simple through on line banking with delivery via Royal Mail signed for on a day chosen by us. We made the purchase and got an order confirmation back via email (ordered at 9pm) which included a statement that confirmation email of payment happened in office hours. Following morning the email arrived, followed by another one asking for confirmation of address and name etc. It also gave another email to send it to and stated they would be in touch if anything else is needed. The night before delivery RM mailed to say they had it and delivery was next day, the following day it arrived. Checked it and everything looks good, really impressed at the communication, everything is included, no hidden charges and delivered when they said.
