Poor from beginning to end with occasional bursts of action
A poor service.
Waited weeks to be allocated a conveyancer
Did not return calls in a timely manner
Felt like a burden not a client paying for service
Highly recommend
I was a first time buyer and I could not recommend this firm enough.
Hannah has been an absolute star from start to finish. My case was not easy but I was supported all the way by her.
A big thank you to the team for their hard work.
If you are a first time buyer that needs supporting through the conveyancing process go with Davies and McGrath. I will be recommending to all my friends and family.
I was appointed Davies and McGrath…
I was appointed Davies and McGrath through Home Legal Direct. Initially communication was poor but once I had been appointed a solicitor things greatly improved. Louise Forshaw was a pleasure to deal with and always responded quickly to my questions either by email or phone. Also thanks to Teresa Shaw, her assistant, and also Maureen who did the initial paperwork.

We were really impressed with the service we received from Daviesmcgrathlaw for the sale of our house, from start to finish they were extremely responsive throughout the process, replying to emails almost instantly and helping us resolve all issues and queries quickly and easily. The service was excellent value and fees were on a “no exchange no fee” basis which was great as it removed the stress of an extra expense if our sale had not progressed - but despite this offering we received really brilliant and professional service from the very beginning. We had a particularly bad experience with conveyancing on the original purchase on our house and have several friends who have had similar issues so we feel like we really discovered a hidden gem! We have already recommended Daviesmcgrathlaw to several friends and will definitely be requesting their services again for any future house moves.
If I could give them -1 stars!
If I could give them -1 stars, I would! This is not a company, it's a bad joke!
I waited for my file to be allocated for more than 2 months, then, when Sarah who was dealing with my file impeccably left the firm - makes sense why!, I was delayed by them again! After 2 weeks of waiting for my file to be reallocated, I was told by Steve, the director of the company, that they can't work on my file anymore due to my insistence, after he reassured me constantly that they are working on my file and everything is being sorted. What a waste of time!
Very low quality and very poor service from this company. After this experience, I wouldn't want them on my file even if they would pay me! Liars and 0 professionalism. Do yourself a favour and stay away from Davies & McGrath!

Avoid this company they are extremely rude, do not communicate anything to you unless chased and when you do chase them for any updates they speak to you like you are a burden to them, I have never been spoken to the way this company spoke to me it was disgusting and when they did do their job it was like they were doing me a favour! Do not use their phones either.
Diabolical firm!
Diabolical firm!
They took my case mid November and have failed to communicate in any way unless prompted - and even then it was 3 days later with a couple of sentences that didn't answer my queries.
They have not updated their app that they claim you can use to track your conveyancing progress. They do not pick up any calls.
I have now had to resort to referring my case to the Law Society to get my money back as no work has been done and they have already taken payment from me.
Avoid at all costs!!
PS - DM if you feel like you want to avoid a Law Society case please feel free to call me to finally discuss my case that you have my money for but have done no work on!
I have received good service
I have received good service from the firm.
Had a few ups and down with communications but overall OK.
My conveyancer Ms Helen Sadler has put all effort for smooth transactions. And understood our anxieties during purchase.
I hired this firm to do some…conveyancing
I hired this firm to do some conveyancing for my mother, and I have had to make numerous requests for progress reports with absolutely no joy. In fact I get conflicting information from different team members, which doesn't fill me with confidence. I give information to one person, and two weeks later somebody else asked for the information again. I wish I'd never hired these people.
