Defence Discount Service Reviews 

I contacted the DDS as my membership had expired and I had recently retired from the MOD so I needed to query if I was still eligible. John was very helpful and efficient and dealt with my query swiftly and professionally. I would definitely recommend the services of the DDS.

The Defence Discount Service was until recently the only way of proving one's status as a veteran, but apart from that offers such as the discount at Bill's restaurants mean that the cost of membership will be recovered with only one purchase. Another benefit is the discount available on fares of British Airways and Qatar Airways. In the last week I had a problem booking Qatar flights on the website: I obtained helpful advice (although I had already established a workaround), but when Rhiannon very effectively followed up the issue - when I'd been too busy to respond to the initial advice - I was very impressed with her service.

I had an issue with a discount code on the DDS website and raised a question. Tracy responded very shortly and requested further information. I supplied this and by the next day I had a very comprehensive response from Tracy which cleared up the problem. Always been impressed with DDS and following this I am even more impressed. Well done Tracy for excellent service!

I had a personal question regarding my account.

Rhiannon responded promptly and gave me a very clear explanation and resolution to my concerns regarding an ex partner still having access to the account.

Having initially having problems with paperwork I was contacted by Rhiannon who gave me a list of options available to me,once I had sent off the relevant documents she came straight back to me assuring me all was now ok , she was very efficient and professional and made the whole experience stress free.

I was having difficulty resettingmy login password, I emailed DDS for help in this matter and was contacted by Clover who very kindly sent me a reset link. A big thank you to Clover for helping me to resolve the issue.

Had a few issues with getting my veterans status organised.

Rhiannon took positive steps to try and rectify the non appearnce of the banner telling me my card needed renewing. Turned out it was not at the DDS end but some setting on the browser I was using. Changed Browser and all worked as it should

I was having difficulty getting into my account. Got in touch with DDS and was contacted by Rhiannon who solved my issue with ease and now I’m back in. Many thanks!

As I was unable to validate my card or pay for it. I asked if my account could be deleted so I could re apply
This was done quickly and the process to re apply was easy via the website and finally the app, my card was validated next day and I have paid my due £5.00 and my physical card has been printed and is on the way.
Excellent service, even though you have to do it on line.

It was massively more difficult to register on the DDS website; and subsequently apply for a Privilege card than I expected. The process took about 3 weeks in total. That said; the lovely Clover helped me navigate the various protocol and website challenges as these arose; and we got there in the end ! Waiting for the Privilege Card to arrive.

The DDS card is an essential bit of kit that makes us veterans feel a little more appreciated, good stuff and keep up the good work.
