My advice to you would be dont even…

My advice to you would be dont even think of going there. Was overcharged for car and 3 weeks later still awaiting refund after being assured many times that it had been processed.Cant say too much more as now out of our hands.Just to update. We decided to take car for early mot even though still 6 months to go.Failed on dangerous brakes and other things costing nearly £500.Had to have work done as car too dangerous to use. Seems like warranty is in question.Phone number on warranty holder 3 years out off date so now even more legal advice. People you should of course make up your own minds but this is just my story.

Avoid this company at all costs!!!

Avoid this company! Purchased a Mazda CX-5 on 16th March for £6999 drove home - it came up with Oil Pressure Failure. They made me take it back for repair - they just did a service and I collected again. Once home again came up with 2 engine errors and went into limp mode. They are refusing my right to reject the purchase and will not collect the undriveable car. I am having to deal with citizens advice/trading standards and will be taking legal action. AVOID this company - they look good but are rip off merchants. Selling faulty cars at premium prices!!

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I purchased a Jaguar XF and within 2 weeks the power steering failed and the turbo was leaking oil. I broke down with my 2 young children in the back when the steering completely locked, RAC supported in getting the car to a garage where they quoted me £4,500 for repairs! I've only just had a full refund from Derby Cars, ONLY because I got solicitors involved and went through legal proceedings which cost me thousands! Now within a few days of them having the car back, they only put it back on sale again!! SCAMMERS! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!! Save yourself alot of money and stress.

These are absolute scumbags AVOID!

These scumbags don’t even deserve 1 star! AVOID at all costs, sold a Land Rover and it is was heap of rubbish from the start, we were left about 6 months with no car and no money back, despite endless promises to fix the vehicle, ended up having to go to court but funnily enough they settled out of court knowing they wouldn’t stand a chance. Both of them are absolute muppets. I could go on all night about these gimps so believe me avoid them. Even people that have wrote good reviews previously have come back weeks later to write bad reviews so if you read please for your own sake avoid them! I even saw the heap of rubbish they sold me up for sale again the day after they settled out of court with me.. honestly they are just laughable!

Following my previous review

Following my previous review. 27th August mini clubman.
I finally after much expense to myself (rental car cost, legal fees and paying for a tribunal) got a full refund from these horrible unprofessional and untrustworthy people.
I urge anyone who’s been scammed by them to pursue them in court.
It’s easy to file on Gov.org it costs a few hundred pounds to file the civil money claim but is worth it.

AVOID this company at all costs!!

An absolute disgrace of a company. Sold us a Landrover Discovery knowing full well it had a list of major problems with it including a blown turbo, suspension, coolant leaks, engine management problems, parking sensors missing, radio missing amongst many other problems. It should have been scrapped!
We agreed a repair but after 5 months and no proof of repair and no car, no offer of a courtesy vehicle, apology or re-imbursement we requested our money back. They refused and we went to small claims court - Finally settled out of court 6 months after we bought the car. The stress and being without a second car for over 6 months was a nightmare.

Beware - They are somehow still AA appoved... I should note that we attempted to mediate through the AA but was a waste of time - the whole scheme is corrupt. As long as they pay their monthly fee everything is sweet... apart from the poor general public who trusts the AA brand!

Please AVOID this company at all costs - They should not be allowed to trade

Bought a Mini Cooper s Brown from Derby…

Bought a Mini Cooper s Brown from Derby shire Performance and was really worried thinking will I be sold a car with problems. I have to Say they was extremely friendly and answered all my questions. I didn't feel pressured and although I only bought the car a few days ago I'm over the moon with it. They stayed late to help me with my car tax with was a nice touch. First review I've done in years but I would defiantly recommend them to anyone that's looking for a second hand car.

How are they still operating?

Update we had to take them to court to get money back!! Eventually he offered less money for an out of court settlement which we took as we are sick of it....the car is now back up for sale for £200 more than we paid for it!!! I feel sorry for the person that buys it without looking at these reviews.

I don't really want to give any stars but it won't allow that.
My son bought a car in June after driving it 16 miles he had to pull into a service station as black smoke was coming out of the engine. So started the nightmare!!!
Conveniently noone was available from Derbyshire Performance to help retrieve the car so the RAC had to come out at a cost to us, I can't say due to this being ongoing what was wrong with the car but I promptly told them I wanted a refund on the car. They stopped replying to me and instead replied to my son telling him to and I quote "get the car back to the garage and I will get it sorted" this apparently in the world of Derbyshire Performance means we agreed to a repair????
Without ever asking what was wrong with the car or for the RAC report they apparently "fixed" the car the next day and are refusing a refund because of this!! On top of that they are now saying they are going to charge £50 a day storage until we pick it up.
We've spent a lot of time with citizens advice who have been great and have also referred this place to trading standards. The AA on the other hand who for some strange reason continue to be affiliated with this disgusting place even after we've told them about the reviews on here (unfortunately we saw them too late) haven't really been too helpful in their "mediation" clearly both companies do not understand The Consumer Rights Act 2015.
So now we have no car and interest mounting on our payment method, luckily unlike some people on here, the car was relatively cheap.
We have just started the court process after spending the last month doing the "right" thing and giving them multiple opportunities to give us the refund our statutory consumer rights say we are entitled to.
I am really struggling to understand how after all these complaints and the amount of people who have gone to court and trading standards how this place is still operating!!!

I wish I had a no star option

This company are absolutely shocking..
I trusted them to deliver what they promised but they were a million miles away from doing that..
To be sold a car then after me having concerns about it I took it to be independently inspected.. the result was shocking.... the list of faults was endless and some were so bad the dangerous that the finance company did there own inspection to further agree that so many of the faults were there before the new mot was put on the car....
I can't believe any dealer should be able to trade like this...
I purchased the car in October 2022 and I'm still fighting to get my money back...
Luckily the finance company are dealing with this but at least the car was returned to the dealer...
Seriously consider another garage as I promise this one should never ever be trusted..

Avoid like the plague!!!

This company should absolutely, 100% not be allowed to trade!!
They sell sub standard, faulty cars, they don't do the repairs that they say they will and they ignore customer calls!!!!
Long story short, we bought a car and faults appeared on the drive home. It took months to reach an end point and we had to start the process of taking them to court to reach it. They settled out of court for the full amount (minus court costs). If this does indicate guilt then I don't know what does.

Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
It's a shame we didn't look on Trustpilot before we bought the car.

Do yourself a favour and avoid this…

Do yourself a favour and avoid this place! Don’t be tricked by the low prices; it will cost you more in the long run.
This is our experience with them. Bought a car less than 2 months ago.
They assured me that they’re running meticulous inspections on the cars before selling them and in the case of missing something, the issues are covered by the 6 months warranty. In less than 2 months, the car was in numerous garages a few times per week:
- 30 minutes after buying, the tyres pressure sensors were failing. We decided to continue our road as we were coming from quite a distance to buy it. We also never thought it was a sensor fault but a tyre pressure issue… were so wrong, as 3 of them are dead, waiting for their replacement as I’m writing this. The “warranty” isn’t covering everything, as they have a limit on the reparations cost…
- a few days later, the navsat/radio/air con starts to reboot out of nowhere, uncontrollably, a few times per hour, making driving very difficult with all the distractions.
- with the car in service for the sensors, we found out that the front lower arm is done from wear and tear and needs urgent replacement, letting us to take the car only under signature (the car started to pull right a bit, so we asked the mechanics to also throw a look on that). Over the phone, the dealer accused us we hit the car so that’s why we have issues with the arm… totally false as the car was only driven on the highway with less than 2000 miles made since we bought it. The mechanic was precise, it’s wear and tear as on impact, the arm is bending - I’m quite sure the car came with the issue given the fact it’s impossible to create this wear in under 2000 miles. As the “warranty” doesn’t cover this, I asked the dealer to solve it as it’s clear it came like this.

How the dealer solved this? They asked me what proof I have that the car came with the issue as the car passed the MOT 5 days before the sale?….

Very unprofessional, extremely rude and irresponsible towards the safeness of their customers.

I’m only giving 1 star as I can’t give 0
