Good product, Great support
I have used Duplicate File Finder (both Free version, ver. and ver. 4 and 5) to search duplets among about 250.000 pictures... Insane, right?
It's very complicated because it is the pictures, backup of them and several backups of backups, and they have been copied back and forth between various hdd's along the years... So, in very short "Total Chaos"... So I gave up several times... But then I contacted DigitalVolcano support, and they've been very helpful. I'm almost done now... Only have a few more questions for them.

Duplicate Cleaner = Amazing!
Duplicate Cleaner = Amazing!
I needed a free Duplicate file finder for an old hdd I have. I downloaded this and really it worked like a charm. I exluded the files I wanted , scan the drive and within few minutes I found 300GB of duplicate data.
I suggest this application (I downloaed before this around 5 apps none of them actually could choose specific folders etc). If you want to use it professionally I would suggest you buy it. But to be honest for the thing I wanted it .. the free version did what I needed :)
Update: As of 2024 I bought the pro version. The features , the sorting , the exlusions... save me so much time :)
And its a one time purchase.. not paying every year so for me its money well spent!!!

Duplicate Cleaner by Digital Volcano is…
Duplicate Cleaner by Digital Volcano is the best duplicate file cleaner out of the 10 or so I tried - by far. It's easy to use and very reliable. I can't live without it considering the amount of photos and other files I have and the various drives they're on.
Their customer service is helpful and prompt. They offer a free version of the app, but the one-time (not saas!) upgrade price is well worth it.

Oh my
Oh my, I purchased this in 2016 when moving computers and combined all my files from USB's work computers etc. All before the cloud. I had copied and copied and copied. .5 TB of my files. My computer slowed down, I couldn't find anything. I contacted the company to see if I can get an upgrade and an upgrade price. YES! You got to love it when the company cares 6 years later!!

Excellent assistance from Tech Support
I had a perceived problem with Duplicate Cleaner but after emailing Digital Volcano and receiving a very clear explanation from James within a few hours, I was able to continue with my work on my photo albums with a much clearer knowledge of the product.
