Unable to communicate

We have been trying to sell our leasehold flat for 5 months, it is managed by DJC & now First Port. Understandably the issues around fire safety are important but out solicitor is unable to establish contact with the legal department which has prevented the sale of the flat. At least 6 enquiries all of which are marked URGENT have been sent and they do not respond. This organisation is hopeless and unprofessional.

Useless and a waste of money

Worse management company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

I have reported many, many issues with our block and quite frankly DJC were a complete joke. I have requested call from someone senior about 3 months ago but they are always 'on leave' and don't call back, which is disappointing and unprofessional.

The company used for the grounds work (cleaners, gardening, etc) are also of a poor standard . The gardeners have killed off our grass area, plants have been allowed to die, cleaners spend the majority of their paid time on site on their mobiles in their van.

We have had issues with doors not closing properly, outside gates, etc but DJC have not addressed the issue. Oblivious to the security risk this poses.

Damage to communal areas that hasn't been fixed. Walls in communal areas have been allowed to get dirty and not kept fresh. Railings along the outside of the site have been allowed to get rusty.

Damage to doors by cleaners that was reported over 18 months ago; a piece of wood 'was ordered' but this is still not fixed.

What has made matters worse is that DJC have undergone a 'change', whatever that means, resulting in an even worse service.

I would honestly urge anyone to not use DJC. Absolute joke and a waste of your money.

Moved into our apartment August 2022

Moved into our apartment August 2022, had lots of problem with Intercom and main door, have made a exhausting amount of calls to our designated manager for the property with no avail. Residents have been locked in property as door could not open. It has now become dangerous in block if firer broke out. This company is terrible.

Corporate greenwashing

Incompetent and full of lies. Will be reporting to property ombudsman for breaking contract and breaking the law. Zero work being carried out on our site.

Despicable - AVOID

NEVER reply to emails/calls - lie continuously about how someone is looking into matter and promise a call back which never happens.

Cherise Conroy who claims to be a 'property manager', is a lying, lazy, incompetent waste of space and karma will come knocking for her.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. DJC have requested over £300 just for a copy of the management pack which is needed to sell my property (which apparently will take 14 days to issues). I can't say I agree with their website claim "we are totally transparent, providing quality and value for money."

Extremely poor

Extremely poor.
Do not respond to emails, do not return calls.
Continuous lift maintenance issues for the past two years of living there, they send an engineer (or at least say they will) and yet the lift is still a hazard. And we are being billed for it. What are we actually paying DJC to do? I'm sorry but your staff are incompetent, last year I exchanged numerous emails and phone calls regarding my bills, was advised to do nothing while it was investigated, and then you send your solicitors to me due to me not paying yet?? My experience has been terrible and I am still waiting for communication (since November 2022). My solicitors have chased you, and you don't even respond to them! Why are you hell bent on making things so upsetting and stressful for me. My (mental) health is taking a bashing.

The worst ever management company

Incapable of getting grass cut on a regular basis or fixing any problems. We will not be paying another penny and will also be raising a formal complaint to be reimbursed for the £900 we have already spent (with zero service). The combination of DJC and Bellway is disgraceful….

Been calling over a year and still have…

Been calling over a year and still have not heard back from anyone. This is awful service. Sent emails in the past 6 months and yet nothing. Security doors still not fixed. Communal lights still haven't worked in a year.

Dreadful company - do not employ!

Dreadful company I would never recommend their services if you are considering employing a property management company - look elsewhere.
Water leak in the communal roof ignored for months, constant revolving door of contract businesses, no response to enquiries and poor management of all the communal facilities such as the bin store. Also an electric gate that was installed and never repaired so always remained open - hardly the security that was advertised for the car parks. They are so bad it gave me no choice but to sell to get out of having any interaction with them. Do not use.

They are supposed be a management…

They are supposed be a management company but they only care about the money. We have been demanding a very simple request from them over 2 years and every time we are told that they would get it done but nothing has been done. They keep lying about their whereabouts. I wish I could report them to somewhere even higher but unfortunately we cannot reach anyone

Stuck on the awful service year after…

Stuck on the awful service year after year, with no way out. Hate this company which has been tagged by the developer without our concern or interest. They are liable for managing our area. however, I don't see what they did last five years for a huge amount of money. Last year one of their guy came at my place to investigate a bad smell at the entrance of my property, within 5 minutes he said that problem is from the inside of the property which he won't able to sort out. Can you imagine, for this 5 minutes investigation for doing nothing company charged me 170 cuid. Disgusting.

Leakage in building

Leakage in building
Avoid DJC in all circumstances and their useless property manager, who is not trustworthy.
We have a leakage in our building for past 9 months which is being ignored. No investigation was setup to check for leakage. They allowed the situation to reach it’s extreme that there is lots of water leaking from the ceiling in our concierge area. The whole area is full of puddles. A resident had to get involved to find if the leakage has been reported for investigation, then repairs snd when will the engineer come. Leakage issue has been carrying on for about a year now.

Now FIRSTPORT

Now FIRSTPORT - AVOID - Extremely poor service
FIRSTPORT have bought this company. I would not hire. They have a record of increased service charges, charging for items that don’t exist etc. Do not hire.

Update: They have not credited our accounts and kept the money we are due because they are lazy and can’t follow a simple process.

The property manager Zack continues not to hold contractors accountable, especially our doors. He has failed in our building and allowed leaks to continue despite chasing him over 9 months - allowing other flats to be affected. He has failed on a number of issues across site with residents consistently chasing him.

He hires overpriced contractors.. plumbing cost a £1000 instead of hiring a local plumber which then turned out to be £80.

Budget is overpriced and they have no idea what they are doing either.

His boss Katie, does nothing about his behaviour and states he is doing a good job despite all the complaints about him.

They do not answer questions either. Avoid this company altogether.

Like many reviews before this

Like many reviews before this, if I could give a negative I would.
Have waited 3.5years for specific information regarding our service fee and nobody could answer our questions. Was told they had taken over the estate but not all of it and our plot wasn’t included yet wanted to charge us a service fee for the privilege. Then 3 years on when they clearly want their money from us they all of a sudden provide a document that predates the information we were originally provided with to show they were looking after our plot. (It took 3 years to produce so I have to question the integrity of it).
Never see anyone on site carrying out any gardening or maintenance of the site which is ultimately what the list says the fee is for.
How they are able to get away with this I have no idea. What is just as frustrating is the lies DJC and Persimmon jointly concoct together.
