Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 69 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers are genuinely upset with the recent recipe updates, reporting that the breakfast cereals now taste completely bland, lack proper flavor, and contain far fewer premium ingredients like nuts and dried fruits. Shoppers also feel extremely frustrated that standard package sizes were noticeably reduced while prices increased significantly across the entire range. Some reviewers were not happy with customer support, stating that corporate responses offered very little help when addressing product complaints. Many loyal buyers feel the business completely ignores consumer feedback, choosing to prioritize short term profits over maintaining decent product quality.

I have purched the dark blue box of Dorset muesli in a supermarket, and I found a lot of white warms inside :((( and I had already eaten for 2 days from the box when I managed to see them. The box was from 07/21 and expiring in 03/22, so I don't really understand. Check your food before you eat 😨🙁 I am so disgusted right now.

I'm so annoyed at wasting my time and money on the product being "nutty"...there's more nuts in my pants and I'm a woman!
What do you have working for you... squirrels?...they stashing them for winter?...
Seriously your making false claims and my hamsters food has more nuts in there and of better quality. I know this because I counted per each if our bowls!
The texture wasn't great...kinda like a un wet soggy biscuit...stale is the word ...even the ducks refused to eat it!
I couldn't even get an oatmeal bath out of it...to try and compensate for money not well spent.
What about people who have to budget and they waste their money and have no breakfast?..
I guarantee if your staff were as absent as the nuts they would be sorted out and fast! Out the door!
Please do something about it...your business looks bad for making empty statements and false promises.

Goe getch yo self some nuts!!

From a very grumpy morning person who can't have breakfast!

You know the saying...your not yourself when your hungry!

Hi Zoe, firstly thank you for taking the time to get in touch and share your honest feedback with us. I hope it goes without saying that the experience you described falls quite a long way short of the breakfast we want to deliver for you, and we're incredibly sorry. Would you be able to email us at pleasetellus@dorsetcereals.co.uk so we can investigate this further and put it right?

Poor quality and expensive

Purchased muesli with dates, nuts and seeds. The content didn’t match claims on the pack; almost no nuts, small amount of tiny very dry date pieces. Definitely falls short of what claims to be a superior product - avoid.

What nuts...never mind the glorious!

Just advised Dorset Cereals directly that I will no longer buy a product promoted as 'gloriously nutty' when the obvious decline in nut content in recent times, is no longer explicable by a fluke, odd batch.....if there are fewer and fewer nuts, how can the promise be glorious? The very basis for spending on this product has evaporated for me.

Dorset Nutty Cereal with no nuts

Dorset nutty cereal with virtually no nuts! What has happened to Dorset Cereals, they used to be so good with excellent ingredients. Guess they must’ve been taken over by some penny pinching private equity company. I’m heading back to Aldi as their equivalent is twice as good at half the price.

Simply fruity muesli simple oatmeal

Simply fruity muesli, dreadful virtually all oatmeal. I have a nutty one too which looks very very predominantly oatmeal

I agree with the dire reviews and will never buy again. Expensive and very very poor value for money

It's terrible to consume this tasteless simply nutty muesli with a CAUTION paragraph after the listed ingredients. Stray piece of shell?? Or a fruit stone?? Who will be paying for the dental bill if teeth are broken during consumption

I have bought four boxes of this muesli…

I have bought four boxes of this muesli now - each of them with a different coloured box that emphasises a different dominance of ingredients, e.g., more fruity, more nutty, simply delicious, organic etc. Although the muesli is nice, every single box seems to comprise the same blend of ingredients and roughly in the same quantities too. I really can't tell one from another. The organic one had a blend of grains, fruits and nuts, the simply delicious one had a blend of grains, fruits ad nuts, so did the nutty one and the fruity one. The only difference is the box colour and the description. I may as well open them all up chuck them in a big container and mix them all up. I don't think I would be any the wiser.

Liars and cheats!

For years now I have been purchasing this company's Fantastically Fruity Muesli (exclusive to Waitrose), and recommending it to others. My main reason for doing so was the HIGH content of cranberries.

I thought my cereal was now different so I looked once more at the ingredients. Sure enough the cranberries had GONE! Also the overall fruit content has been decreased.

This company is clearly run by dishonest scum-bags. If we had honest governments there would be a law to make companies prominently display changes in ingredients or weight. Why does the law allow companies like Dorset to cheat its loyal customers? Does Waitrose know that Dorset are cheating it's shoppers?

Needless to say I'll be searching for another brand of muesli, or making my own.

Dorset Cereals are a waste of time and money.

Dorset Cereals ran an advent calendar competition during December. On 2nd December I won the prize for that day. It is now 3rd January and I've received nothing dispite 4 emails asking why they did not honour their competition prize.
This is the second time I have supposedly won one of their competitions and it is the second time I have not received the so called prize.
This company's policies regarding prizes is a complete and utter scam.
They have no prizes to give to winners and expect us to just accept their deceit and lies.
Dorset Cereals are a disgrace and should be ashamed of treating customers in such a disrespectful manner.
I only gave them 1 star because you cannot give no stars but my advice is don't bother wasting your time or money on them as they definitely don't give a damn about their customers.

As a user of Dorset Cereals for several…

As a user of Dorset Cereals for several years, (Simply Nutty Muesli in particular), I think I can give an honest opinion. The quality of SNM has deteriorated along with a 75% hike in price. How can they say it is a new recipe, when it is a bog-standard product? I will tell you why - they have reduced the nut content (whole brazil nuts have gone to be replaced with shavings), and added more fruit. It is now just their basic muesli! I for one will be making my own in future, when I have finished my stock.
