First class service and produce

First class products delivered the next day. Cannot praise this company enough for excellent service and quality of produce.
Currently using during lockdown for fresh produce and the staff have been amazing, managing to source additional items requested.
Look forward to using Fruitgalore ltd for delivering quality hampers to my friends & family again, do miss the beautiful packaged hampers.
Keep up the great work you are doing in such difficult times.

Fruit Basket

The fruit package I received from Fruit Galore was excellent. All the fruit was really fresh and in great condition, and was neatly presented in the delivery box.
I received the package promptly via next day delivery, therefore the fruit was still fresh and edible long after the initial delivery.
Fully recommend to anyone to buy for themselves or give as a gift!

For many years we have used…

For many years we have used Fruitgalore.....
100% satisfaction from all our relatives and friends.. Christmas hampers, cookie hampers (firm favourite at our granddaughter's school... The teachers told me that they look forward to receiving them!!!) vegetable hampers, even flowers have been delivered on our behalf. Where we know people struggle to get through the hampers, they have been very helpful and included flowers or chocolates when we requested...
They take care of all our gifts requirements .. We do not have to worry about getting gifts to Wales, Hampshire or anywhere in the UK! What more can we want?
Even our son is now using Fruitgalore to send gifts to the Hospital and the office!
I just hope that they can continue this excellent service during these trying times!
We hope that all their staff are keeping safe and well.
Thank you for good service from all of us.

Fruit Galore Review

In these difficult times I can highly recommend this company. I chose a beautiful basket of fruit to send to my friend in Sheffield. I ordered it on Thursday 16th and requested it for her birthday on Saturday April 18th. I then realised it was very unlikely to get there on time due to arrangements with the carriers, as they work Tuesday to Friday. I was ok with that and guessed it would probably not get there until Tuesday. I really should have ordered it earlier.
Imagine my delight when my friend texted me on Friday 17th to say that she had received a box of beautiful fruit with cheese, oatcakes and chutney as well! I’d been advised that it couldn’t be in a basket because of the risk posed by Coronavirus.
My friend texted me to say there was a good mix of fruit in good condition (plus cheese, oat cakes and chutney). There was a note apologizing for the lack of basket and that on account of this there was some extra fruit. And there was a pretty card with my greeting on it. All of it was bubble wrapped and they texted her with an approximate delivery time. On delivery they left it on the threshold while she stepped back (social distancing). They took a photo of it to prove delivery and avoided her having to sign anything.
I will be using this company again because of the high quality of the fruit, their attention to detail and their professionalism. My friend is in isolation because of underlying health conditions and this delivery really cheered her up.

No basket no bow

Ordered a basket of fruit with a bow for my daughter birthday fruit arrived in a box with a note saying no basket due to corvid-19 at no time was I told, no email as I would have cancelled. I paid £39 for a few apples oranges a melon and a pineapple no basket no bow no wow very disappointed. When I placed the order a week ago there was no red message saying about lack of baskets. Still not happy didn't get what was ordered or what I paid for an email should have been sent

We at Fruitgalore are working tirelessly through this coronovirus crisis to provide fruit baskets to people throughout the UK. We risk getting the virus ourselves and in fact the owner contracted the virus but has now recovered. It is very clear and in red bold text on the front page of our website that we have had to stop providing baskets as they are simply not available. However the decision was taken to keep providing the contents of the baskets to our customers both using our courier & with personal deliveries in the locality.
We are extremely surprised to read this review therefore as it is so prominent on our main page & could not possibly be missed or so we thought.
However our aim is to provide a good service to our customers. We are putting out many boxes every day at the moment & are obviously upset when our efforts are not appreciated by our customers. Luckily this only happens on extremely rare occasions as is shown by the enormous number of repeat orders we are receiving.
Extra fruit and vegetables have been added to every order throughout this lockdown period to compensate for the lack of the basket .
We apologise for any upset or disappointment caused.

ROTTEN fruit,ROTTEN customer service, ROTTEN people. Received a hamper as a present from our son. Half the fruit was rotten. Sent photo to company asking for their comments.....NO REPLY. Emailed customer services....NO REPLY, left several telephone messages....NO REPLY. When so many deserving small companies are going the extra mile this Company is terrible and does not deserve to succeed. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Pam Knight does not state what order she is referring to in this vile attack on our business.
We are a small family run business working hard to provide our regular customers with fruit & vegetables throughout this difficult time.
If as we think this was an order sent to Marsworth then the likelyhood of the fruit & other goods which were all bought fresh within 24 hours all being off is almost impossible. We apologise if anything did arrive damaged but assure you that no orders are sent out with rotten fruit, and half of what we believe this order was, is non fruit, cheese, biscuits and wine
However to publically state on an open forum we are rotten people is beyond any decent behaviour
Our owner had coronovirus earlier on so has first hand experience of the results of this dreadful virus. We are currently sending out huge numbers of boxes every day & on top of that personally delivering to people living locally to us in the evenings and at weekends to those unable to leave their homes.
We received no phone call, no photo & one email in our spam account from Pam Knight
However we reiterate to be called names like" rotten" when we are doing so much to help people in the UK & providing a much needed service to our community is beyond the pale.
We can assure Pam Knight she will struggle to find many small companies doing more at this difficult time & we are both upset & annoyed by her personal attack on our integrity. This is born out by the huge number of regular clients we have & the knowledge that a large proportion of our business is repeat business and has been for many years as otherwise we would not have survived

Poor quality fruit I wouldn’t purchase from them again

Poor quality fruit I wouldn’t purchase this quality in a shop. This was ordered by my son as a present for my birthday and Christmas it was supposed to be delivered morning of 24th December Received it January 6th no explanation no answer to my sons emails or telephone
I will tell him not to use this firm again as he always sends me fruit and this is the worst I have received in 15 years
My advise buy your fruit somewhere else

We are both upset and annoyed to get this one star review from Eve Burlinson. We are a family owned business which relies on its reputation for producing lovely fruit baskets & hampers.

Her brother who lives in the USA ordered this fruit hamper for her on Saturday 21st December 2019 at 15.45.

He did this in the full knowledge that the parcel would not be delivered until 7th January 2020 as we clearly put on the website that we were closed from Thursday 19th December through to Monday 6th January for Christmas & New Year. Thus we were not around to receive phone calls or emails, which we can find no record of.

So it was a miracle that Ms Burlinson claims to have received her basket on 6th January as it could not possibly have arrived before the 7th as it was only prepared and sent out on the 6th..

As to the quality of our product

We sent out approximately 1000 baskets over the Christmas period & 40 on Jan 6th.

We have not had one complaint other than this one, which speaks for itself.

Our fruit is bought on a daily basis & is always hand picked for the same day delivery. In fact her brother paid for express delivery so the chances of the fruit, cheeses etc going off was extremely remote.

If Ms Burlinson had contacted us directly with a picture of her basket we could of course have replaced any fruit that was not correct.

However she did not contact us at all but wrote her complaint instead firstly to Trustpilot for some reason.

We do not understand this. We are sorry she was disappointed but there is now nothing we can now do as there is no proof of her allegation that the fruit was not of good quality.

We repeat how disappointed we are as a firm, which prides itself on the quality of our product, that Ms Burlinson has behaved in this manner.

This could & indeed should have been settled in a more mature fashion

We are though very sorry that Ms Burlinson was unhappy with her gift from her brother and assure her that if she had made contact directly we would have done something about her complaints once and if proved valid. The quality of our product is why we have so many repeat loyal customers.

Yours Fruitgalore

Awaiting confirmation Update

Having placed my order over 48 hours ago and emailing them the following day with my order number informing them I had not received a confirmation email , I still have not heard a thing.
I checked my bank balance yesterday and the payment has been taken and have emailed a 2nd time to inform of no confirmation .
This is a Mothers Day gift for my very frail 85 year old Mother and I have put special instructions on the delivery details .
I am not feeling very confident and am finding the whole experience quite stressful.

I’m not impressed with the fact you can only contact this company via email ( which they don’t respond to ) or post which will take forever.

Sad I have had to go onto Trust Pilot to see if I can get a response .

Amanda Parkinson

Thank you for your reply, however I can confirm that I have received no emails and have checked my spam folder to find none in there .
As I have emailed you I cannot think that you are using an incorrect email ? There is obviously a blip in the system somewhere and to avoid all this hassle a telephone line would be
much more useful.
At least I now know that my order is going through but our only point of communication is through Trust Pilot .

Good Morning Mrs Parkinson

We have emailed you three times with regards to
confirmation of your order, first on 25th March and again yesterday twice with no response from yourself. As it’s not Mother’s Day until this coming Sunday we obviously haven’t shipped the order yet as it will ship with all of our Mothers Day gifts on our last shipping day this week which is Thursday for Friday delivery. PLEASE take the time to look at the numerous email responses we have sent you as we can assure you there is no issue with your order. We look forward to hearing from you.

THEY ARE DELUSIONAL IF THEY THINK I'M PAYING FOR THIS CRAP!!!!!!

02/04/2019 UPDATE: PayPal closed the case in our favour and gave us a full refund. For reference, PayPal never got a reply from the seller. I wish there was a way to attach the screenshot.

I can totally see where all these really horrible reviews are coming from!!! We should never have used this company!!!!!!!

Long story short: I took the day off and stayed at home all Tuesday waiting for the delivery - Sophie had ASSURED me it would be delivered on Tuesday. It never was!!!!!!! I emailed Tuesday evening requesting a cancellation of the order
- no response. Instead, they sent it the following day, when I had told them I would be away ALL DAY! The result? My flat mate collected it and not knowing what it was - it was left sitting in my 35-degree living room until midnight, when I came back. As you can imagine, all fruit had been sitting in their juices and the strawberries had turned pink from the moisture. Even my flatmate was grossed out.

We have already disputed the payment we made of £52 on the basis of 'services not rendered as delivered' as it is all LITERALLY CRAP in the basket! We'll get food poisoning if we eat this, YIKES

Here's our email thread:

to me, Sophie

Hi Sophie,

A little disappointed at your lack of a response here, that wasn’t the case when you and I were communicating prior to the sale, we have been accommodating with regards to the delivery but the fact that it didn’t get delivered yesterday which was still a week later than we would have liked and fortunately today my flat mate was there to receive it, I would like for you to do the right thing and give me a discount on the order and PayPal that back to me, I think it’s fair.

Eagerly await your response

Hi Sophie

Please see screenshot attached of text I received from DPD. I thought delivery was scheduled for today?

As I had explained I'll leave the house at 8:30am tomorrow and won't be back until late in the evening.

Can we please cancel the order altogether and get our refund? This is clearly pointless.

Thanks

Hi

Dpd won’t give me a time slot as my parcels go to a depot then are shipped out via postcode delivery for each individual depot. This is why they offer an upgrade service for shipping time slots which you’ve chosen to not use. My website does clearly state all orders must be completely placed by 1 o’clock to ship for next day delivery. As you can imagine I can’t ship goods until paid as unfortunately we live in a day and age of scammers who have made it difficult. I think the best thing to do is wait until next week Monday to ship for Tuesday arrival. I hope you agree..

Presentation deceptive.

Received a beautiful looking basket of fruit but contents were very disappointing - pineapple covered in mould, mango black inside, pomegranate bad inside and worst dates ever and most of the other fruit marked, bruised and over-ripe, including banana, apples, pears, melon and kiwis.

I sent photographs of the mould on the pineapple and of other fruit and these were promptly replaced, together with extra fruit as compensation. This included another box of 'worst' dates.

Would not recommend this company for fruit delivery as the quality was so bad that much of the contents was inedible and thrown away.

They won't ackowledge complaints

Had a few orders which went well but the last hamper had obviously been dropped, kiwi fruits mush, shortbread biscuits crumbed and this was for a poorly aunt of 86. The company does not bother to answer emails which is no way to run a business, well I won't be using them again that's for sure !

Unfortunately Mrs Tiller was using an incorrect email address.

On receiving this review we immediately contacted the recipient who confirmed the box had arrived with one kiwi squashed and the biscuits broken as a result of the box being bashed in transit with our courier.

We apologised and have arranged to send another basket free of charge immediately.

IF we had known earlier this would have been resolved then

We are a small family business and everything is always sent out with great care and in first class condition

We hope you enjoy your complimentary replacement basket

Robbery!

Purchased an expensive hamper as a gift for friends to be told by the courier company that the item was perished and destroyed before being delivered. Emailed FruitGalore numerous times, and phone messages left with no response. Do not use this site. Very disappointing experience. Used before, therefore thought I could use again. Clearly not. Phone calls are not answered nor are the emails. Completely disgusting service.

Please don't use this company

Please don't use this company. See the earlier review. They did not replace damaged fruits which evidence of picture was emailed to them. It has been 2 weeks since we got in touch with them with no reply. Left email, text and mobile phone messages which they ignored. Got my sister to phone them, her call was answered and when she identified herself as my sister, the person said she was busy moving some boxes and will ring back. This happens last Friday and no one has been in contact since. Thier website stated they will replace damaged fruits and will reply to any complaint within 7days from receipt of good but failed to do so. What kind of company is this, took £40 from an old lady of 92 who trusted their service and failed to deliver. Direct quote from their website stating, "Our exceptional customer services team works around the clock for the sole purpose of making your experience simple and sweet. We are available to serve you 24 hours a day." This is a lie. The trading standard will be notified.
