Battery lost capacity very quickly…

Battery lost capacity very quickly (about 4 weeks use). It crashed out showing over 60% remaining while I was video editing. Not great.
I contacted Good-Batteries and they suggested I could pay another £17.99 for a replacement better battery! I asked for a replacement without the extrta and they reduced it to £15.99. Aventually I figured I would be better with a refund, but they want the battery back, which is an issue in itself as couriers wont take a Lithium Battery, especially one which may be faulty. I have escalated to Paypay who have agreed to pay the return postage but as yet I cant find acourier who will take it (unless I ignore the terms regarding batteries - which would make me liable if it catches fire and damages things!) I am stuck trying to get a refund at the moment. These people should be banned from trading in the UK. Stay away.!

Buyer beware... Steer well clear!

I've bought two batteries in succession from good-batteries (!) The first one was 75% wear level, which for the price was acceptable, but obviously not new cells, as claimed. The second was 6% wear level, they wouldn't reimburse unless I returned the battery at my cost, and when I did return the battery it ended up being returned to me because they didn't collect it from the postal bureau. In the end paypal reimbursed me for the return postage and the battery. These guys are more trouble than they are worth. The obligatory one star is more than they merit.

Sent a battery that would not fit my HP, like a previous comment got a "good deal" by paying delivery charge and just dumped original. Now after 2 month replacement wont charge, emails asking to replace have gone ignored.
Dont even consider them. Go onto Amazon for a good deal which you can at least return

DO NOT BUY THE ITEMS ARE CRAP

If I could give it a minus I would, I purchase a battery for my Laptop and it came within a week, when it came it had all Chinese writing on it but never thought anything of it. I have only had it 6 months and it is totally knackered. I contacted them and they said they would replace it so long as I paid the delivery which was 1 pound more than I oringinally paid. When I said fine send me an invoice via PayPal as that was how I paid in the first place, they responsed with FINE OK, I have not heard anything back from them since. I have read a few reviews saying that the company is supposed to be in UK but is in China and I have realised this as when they answered to my e-mails it was always at 1 or 2 am. All I can say is If Your after a good replacement battery DO NOT , WHATS SO EVER deal with this company.

Ordered a new battery for my MacBook Air 2012 13". It arrived quickly but would not accept a charge. I removed and reinstalled, reset SMC several times and still not accepting charge. I installed the old battery and it is charging, but still recommending replacement. I have asked for a refund/replacement. Awaiting a response. Not a good start and should have looked at the reviews more carefully. I must have found a fake review as it suggested this was no2 for battery replacements in France.
Good-batteries, I look forward to a quick, positive response.

HP Pavillion Battery

I ordered a battery for my Hp laptop on Monday 27th December before reading any of the reviews, I paid with Paypal when this came up with a Chinese name I became very skeptical as to the orgin of the batteries had I read the reviews previously I would not of ordered from this company. However my experience could fo not have been more positive I ordered it on Monday afternoon and the battery arrived 36 hours later on Wednesday morning via Hermes. (that must be a record for Hermes) Communication from the company was excellent. I gave the battery a good 3-hour charge and it showed 100%. I have now fully discharged the battery and will continue this cycle 4 or 5 times as per instructions all seems as it should and the battery is holding the charge. I would definitely use this company again.

This company is a scam - do NOT use them.

Like some other reviewers, I wish I could rate this review as a zero-star, but have to give one in order to post the review.
In November we ordered a Dell Latitude computer battery from Good-batteries. The company claims to be based in Southall, Middlesex, and this appears to be supported by their email addresses, which have the domain .co.uk. We used them because we expected a speedy delivery of an in-stock item from a British supplier.

Oddly, my credit card company refused to make the payment, so the bill was paid by my wife's Paypal account, a payment which cleared the same day. We heard nothing thereafter, no order acknowledgement email, no dispatch notification, nor an anticipated delivery date. A month passed, and so we contacted Paypal who told us to contact the vendor. We emailed the company on all three of their email addresses, and also via Paypal's site to chase the order but have received no response, in spite of their promises of prompt customer service. We are now attempting to get a refund through Paypal.

A matter of concern is the address Good-batteries declare, which is:
181 Queens Road
International Trading Estate
Southall, Middlesex
AB15 8BS

We have made some enquiries, and have discovered that the address does not exist in Southall. A search using just the street address and postcode matches that of a private house in Aberdeen in Scotland. That is disturbing, as I can only think of one reason for giving a completely false address.

Further enquiries on Trustpilot have revealed a plethora of complaints that the company is a scam, based in China. It appears that the reason my credit card company refused to make the payment is that the actual beneficiary has a completely different (Chinese) name and address, and while my bank spotted something was wrong, Paypal did not, in spite of numerous previous disputes from other customers with the vendor. Again, this smacks of fraud.

Their track record is not good - I dearly wish I had looked on Trustpilot before ordering, but I was lulled into a false sense of security by their apparent base in the UK.

Another interesting thing is that there are some five-star positive reviews from people who decided to go ahead anyway AFTER reading the negative ones, including one who describes the negative reviews as unfair. A question: Who in their right mind would order from a company with such a record of negative feedback? It seems to me that the handful of positive reviews (just 17% against 73% negative) are far more likely to have been written by people from the company, rather than by genuine customers. (They even use similar wording!) Look at the distribution of stars: Almost all one star negative, and a bunch of five star positives with almost nothing in between. They are either perfect or a bunch of scoundrels with nothing mediocre. That in itself should ring alarm bells.
I will of course edit this review if the situation changes, and I have also ticked the box telling Trustpilot to pass my remarks on to the company but given other people's experiences, along with the fact that the company has not responded to a single negative Trustpilot review during the last twelve months, I'm not holding my breath.

Update: I received an email (in FRENCH!) from a FRENCH battery company today (fr-batteries.com) in response to my first email to Good-batteries. (Out of interest, I looked them up on Trustpilot. Their record is even worse, at 82% bad!) The email contained a very interesting audit trail of when my email had arrived in the .co.uk inbox, and when it had been forwarded to the French address. I sent the original email at 17:18pm CET. It arrived in the .co.uk inbox at 00:18am local time the following day, exactly seven hours later, which coincidentally is the time difference between here and Peking. The response from the "French" company arrived in my in-box at 03:00am CET, which is 10:00am Peking time. That is pretty clear evidence to me that the French and British branches of the company are in China, not in Europe.
Their French email says that they would like to refund us. We have said yes, and we await the refund with interest.

At least my experience was positive!

I bought before reading the reviews, and would never have done so had I read them! However, I received my laptop battery on Tuesday, having ordered on Sunday, via Hermes. I've slotted it in, it works, it's taken a long time to get to 100% on its first charge, but the machine is registering that it'll have approximately the same amount of time as it used to on the original battery. I'm not saying there aren't issues with the company, as obviously there are from other people's findings, but I've just had the sort of positive experience that I was hoping for. The battery itself is probably a lot cheaper-built than some others and may not last for too long, but I guess you get what you pay for. (I'll amend this if it stops working after a few weeks!)

Cowboys in China

Would not give them one star if i could, DO NOT purchase from these Cowboys from CHINA NOT THE UK as advertised. I can guarentee your battery will be duff and you will then have to jump through rings to get your money back through Paypal. Sending it back to China is near impossible as Couriers wont except batteries , Or at least Royal Mail don't for obvious reasons. Save your money and buy from a respected UK company.

NO STARS IF I HAD THE OPTION

I have put one star as I am not allowed to put less! Battery was absolutely useless. It wouldn't charge and wouldn't work at all. Totally incompatible with our laptop despite being advertised as a genuine product for our laptop. Customer service abysmal. We returned the battery but Good Batteries (ha ha, what a joke) refuse to refund our postage despite it being faulty in accordance with their returns conditions. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I was wary using this website after the reviews, and was prepared to be messed around. But no. I ordered a laptop battery on the Wednesday and it came on Friday. Works properly and came with all instructions. You also get a personal e-mail from the shop informing you when it is being packaged/shipped. Will most likely be using this company again. Really happy.

Dead on Arrival

Replacement battery - dead on arrival. Replacement battery for Macbook Pro A1382. After unpacking it turns out that one of the Li-Polymer Battery modules was swollen. After a 7 days senseless mail ping pong I involved PayPal to clarify the situation, which ended up with the proposal I will receive a credit note of 39,95 if I send the damaged battery back to Shanghai for 20,- Euros at my own expense. Even the ordering handling and delivery was done across a german branch office of "Good batteries"!!!
This is china customer service at its best:
- no quality control of the goods they are sending out
- time wasting "salami"-tactics while complaint process
- faking the customer if they should do a warranty service or a repayment

Avoid - Their batteries fail after 3 months

I purchased a battery for my MacBook Pro. It took 2 weeks to arrive, and not the 3 days advertised. Within 3 months the battery has depleted and won't hold charge for longer than 45 minuets. The Battery status states, "needs servicing". I contacted the vendor asking for a replacement. They say they are out of stock and to post it back to china for servicing. However when I check their website, they indicate that the battery is currently in stock.
Don't trust this company, their products are not fit for purpose. I reluctantly accepted a partial refund, as I cant be without my laptop whilst the battery is sent to china for servicing. This is not what you expect by buying a new battery
