Fake UK company. Pretends to be in UK but…

This company pretends to be in UK but it in China.
They use a false address on their website .
181 Queens Road
International Trading Estate
Southall, Middlesex
AB15 8BS
The postcode is actually from an address in Aberdeen.
The first line is from an address in China.
The second and third line are a real trading estate that this company does not have an address at.
Paypal asked this company to remove their fake address which they did. They have now put it in their website.
Paypal will not help in disputes once you find you have a faulty product as you have to return it to China for refund. This will cost you more than the battery. This company know you will not return battery.
Apart from being a fake company their products are poor quality also and the batteries have a very short life.

I have no complaints

I see that there are mixed reviews for this seller so I can only go by my own experience with them and I must say I have no complaints.
The laptop battery that I purchased was delivered in a timely fashion and was the the correct one for the job. After a month of using it no problems.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

Awful to deal with. My experience as others in this thread. Wrong battery sent. Returned battery to their return department in Leicester. ( had to do it by courier and incurred £7.20 charge). It was tracked and signed for but they are saying they haven't received it. Difficult to communicate with them as they are Chinese. They've basically stopped answering my emails. So overall I am almost £30 out of pocket. Incredibly frustrating. Rubbish company.

A mixed review

A mixed review. The battery for my laptop arrived promptly. However, it would only hold a charge for just over an hour. I was then told to charge/discharge battery three times, This had no effect. I then sent a one sentence email, asking for a refund.
I had a reply next day, saying a refund would be sent immediately. Within 10 hrs, my refund was credited.
So, the product was quite poor, but the customer service was excellent

What a Nightmare!

Uk Trust Pilot

I also made the same mistake …. Oh Boy . .
All I can do is support what several other blogs have said. Like some others I also thought I was dealing with a UK based company www good-batteries.co.uk, but they are based in China.

I was after a replacement battery for my late MacPro Book laptop, 15 inch.

The seller sent the wrong battery because it was wrongly identified on their web page

When I informed the vendor that they had sent the wrong battery I did get a series of responses from the Vendor when, which became increasingly ruder. They would not accept that they had made a mistake.
So the option to return for a refund was not really established.

BUT BE AWARE
The big problem is that it is virtually impossible to return a Lithium Ion Laptop Battery to China (or even for that matter in the UK. Large a Lithium Ion are classed as prohibited items and would need special packaging and paper work and cost several hundred pounds to ship.

So, I did take the matter up with PayPal who were also a bit of a nightmare to deal with. After submitting proof and a lot emails they accepted that I could send the item back for a refund but I would have to pay for shipping. What they did not seem to understand was that it was not remotely practical to send it back. It took lots of further emails and phone calls and proof from shippers before they finally accepted and refunded me.

A huge organisation like PayPal should know about shipping of prohibited items back to sender and flag it up as big problem. Of course, it does raise the question of how it is to easy for China to ship the Lithium Ion Batteries over to us? Mine arrive through the letter box so there is clearly a big contradiction between receiving and sending!

So, the answer is of Lithium Ion Laptop Battery make sure you use a UK based supplier or Amazon who give you much better protection than PayPal. I suspect these batteries all come from the same factory in China it’s just a matter of distribution agreements from their end. I ended up buying the correct battery from replacebase.co.uk who were really good and on the end of a UK telephone line. Yes the battery cost a little more if I add up the hours I could have saved bey saving a few pounds with the China based company.

I hope this is helpful!

Do not use this company

Do not use this company. They sent me the wrong hand and voltage of battery. When I told them they asked for photos which I sent. They then asked for more photos. I contacted PayPal who escalated my case to a claim and via this company asked me to return the battery. The Post Office would not accept it as it is Lithium. Fortunately, PayPal reimbursed me and instructed me to dispose of the battery safely. Do NOT waste your time and money with this sham outfit.

Generic Replacement Laptop Battery

Ordered a replacement GENUINE Toshiba laptop battery expecting (as per advert) to receive same only to receive inferior generic one.
Unable to return as all UK couriers prohibit carrying batteries except when in actual product. Having contacted a number of major couriers have learned that increasing numbers of UK citizens find to their cost that such unwanted items cannt be returned. This begs the question whether unauthorised couriers are being used by sellers to delivery items knowingly that cannot be returned.

Avoid this business for misleading advertising practices.

Terrible company still have not…

Terrible company still have not received battery although they took money. When emailing them they say have no details of my order although I sent them screenshots of the email they sent with an order no displayed. Have now realised after reading the other reviews here on Trustpilot that they are a very bad company and so buyer beware.

SHAM COMPANY/ INFERIOR PRODUCTS FROM CHINA

I purchased a battery for my ASUS pc from Good Batteries August 2017 as my original battery was only lasting around 3 hours. I’ve had the pc for 10 years so all in all the battery has lasted well.
It arrived within 2 days of purchase and I fully charged it the same day but it only reached 98%. Within 3 hours the battery life had drained to 3% and needed charging again. I was not happy so emailed the company straight away. Their response was to fully charge and discharge the battery 3 times to activate the cells. If this didn’t resolve the problem they said it may be defective. I followed the instructions and although the battery worked better I was only getting maximum of 4 hours (8hrs max from original). I just put up with it and have used the pc sporadically but did notice that when the pc was switched off with 50% power when it was next used the battery was fully discharged. The pc hasn’t been used for last 5 months and I switched it on charge in December 2018 to discover that the battery now won’t charge at all. The company, namely Luo Xhianghuo has responded saying that because it’s over 1 year ago I can buy new one.
Pc batteries should last for around 1000charges not 20, as in my case.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AS I CAN GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!
How many other people buy pc batteries every year I wonder hmm, none unless you buy them from this shoddy outfit.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company they are not UK based as claimed they are Chinese and useless. My battery did not arrive so I've ended up escalating to Paypal. The seller has so far sent two different tracking numbers from Yodel but when I contacted Yodel they took my details then said they could not comment on the supposed delivery as none of the Tracking numbers related to my name address or post code. No joy so far! so if you don't want to loose your money and go through a lot of hassle I advise not to buy your batteries from Good-Batteries - Mr Luo Xianghua.
